Culver Historic District

Lincolnshire Historic District is a national historic district located at Evansville, Indiana. The district developed after 1923, and encompasses 95 contributing buildings in a predominantly residential section of Evansville. The district's homes have a mixture of Tudor Revival and Old and new World revival designs, including Colonial Revival. St. Benedict Cathedral and Bosse High School are two landmark buildings from the 1920s and 1930s.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

Alhambra Theatorium (also known as The Alhambra Theater) is a historic movie theater in the Haynies Corner Arts District of Evansville, Indiana. It was designed by Frank J. Schlotter and opened on September 27, 1913, as a movie theater. The Alhambra was one of many influenced by the Alhambra Palace in Spain. Although Alhambra theatres opened all over the world, only a traditional playhouse built in New York in 1905 predates Evansville's in the United States. The theatre cost $18,000 to build and was one of the largest movie theatres in Evansville at the time. It included a cigar shop and a confectionery, and spurred new business in the area now designated as the Haynies Corner Arts District. The theater ceased operation in 1956. The Alhambra has been renovated a few times in the past 100 years and is in the process of being restored. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

The Haynie's Corner Arts District is a small area in Evansville's south-central side, adjacent to Downtown Evansville. Centered on Haynie's Corner, a small square, the district is resided mainly by artists and is one of the only areas in the city where residential showrooms are allowed. The district is home to an art festival show with painters, sculptors, craftsmen, artisans, and musicians. It also hosts the Midwest Dragon Boat Racing Festival.

St. Paul's Episcopal Church is an Episcopal parish church located in Evansville, Indiana, within the Episcopal Diocese of Indianapolis. The parish was formally organized in 1836 after a missionary visit from Bishop Jackson Kemper. The present-day church building was erected in 1886 on the corner of 1st and Chestnut St. in downtown Evansville to replace the parish's first church built on the same site. Designed by architects James W. Reid & Merritt J. Reid, the English Gothic Revival-style structure was constructed with Bedford limestone and trimmed with Green River limestone. St. Paul's is known for being the home parish of various prominent figures in Evansville's history. It is also known for its community service, including a weekend soup kitchen through Sr. Joanna's Table. St. Paul's Episcopal Church was added to the National Register of Historic Places on July 17, 1978 as part of the larger Riverside Historic District in downtown Evansville.

The Riverside Historic District is a U.S. historic district located in downtown Evansville, Indiana. It was added to the register in 1978 and roughly bounded by Southlane Drive, Walnut, Third, and Parrett Streets. It consists of 1,010 acres (4.1 km2) and 425 buildings. It is also known as the Riverside Neighborhood.Located in the heart of the historic district is the Reitz Home Museum. It was built in 1871 and is noted as one of the finest examples of French Second Empire architecture in the United States. Other notable buildings are in the Italianate, Colonial Revival, and Renaissance Revival styles and include the Viele-Koch House (1856, c. 1872–1873), John Morford Stockwell House, Garvin House (c. 1860), St. Paul's Episcopal Church (1886), Nisbet House (1878), Sonntag-Bayard House (1863), Bosse House (1916), Duke House (1892), First Presbyterian Church (1873), Zurstadt House (c. 1853).It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

Michael Schaeffer House is a historic home located at Evansville, Indiana. It was built in 1894, and is a two-story, Queen Anne style red brick dwelling. It has a slate roof and limestone detailing. It features an Eastlake movement style entry porch.: 2–3 It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Washington Avenue Historic District is a national historic district located at Evansville, Indiana. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. The district, bounded roughly by Madison and Grand Avenues and East Gum and Parrett Streets, sprang up in the late 19th century, during an economic boom when the city's population went from 29,200 in 1880 to more than 59,000 by 1900. When the neighborhood was nominated to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, local preservationists cited the district's “important collection of late-Victorian frame houses” – grand styles, from Gothic Revival to French Second Empire, designed by the city's leading architects for some of its leading citizens. Among those who built stately homes on Washington Avenue were Max deJong, an importer and fine clothing retailer; Antonio Sierra, superintendent of the Fendrich Cigar Company; and William Akin Jr., a well-to-do meatpacker who later became mayor of Evansville.The Washington Avenue district – where 23 percent of the houses have been demolished in the last quarter-century – never attracted the investment that other districts in the city have. Local and state preservation experts fear the demolition of structures in the Washington Avenue district along with the accelerating decline of what remains could jeopardize the area's status on the National Register of Historic Places.

Independence Historic District, also known as the West Franklin Street-Wabash Avenue Historic District, is a national historic district located in the Lamasco neighborhood of Evansville, Indiana. The district developed after 1880, and encompasses 95 contributing buildings and 1 contributing site. It includes commercial and residential properties and representative examples of Italianate, Queen Anne, Romanesque, and Beaux-Arts style architecture. Notable buildings include the West Branch Carnegie Library (1912), Laval Block, Heldt-Voelker Hardware Store (1890), First Federal Savings, Gerke Building, August Rosenberger House (1894), and St. Boniface Church (1882, 1902).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Peter Augustus Maier House, also known as the Maier-Pollard House , is a historic home located at Evansville, Indiana, United States. It was built in 1873, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, "L"-plan, Italianate style brick dwelling. It has a low-pitched slate cross-gable roof and features a bracketed cornice and paneled frieze. Also on the property is a contributing carriage house and original wrought iron fence.: 2–3 It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Buckingham Apartments was a historic apartment building located in downtown Evansville, Indiana. It was designed by the architecture firm Shopbell & Company and built in 1911. It was in Arts and Crafts movement style architecture.: Part 1  It was demolished on November 18, 1998It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982 and delisted in 2011.

The Liberty Baptist Church is a historic African-American Baptist church located at 701 Oak St. in Evansville, Indiana. It was founded in 1865 as a congregation of former slaves, according to Historic Evansville. The Gothic Revival red brick church was built in 1887, as a replacement after a cyclone destroyed an earlier building.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
