Sacramento Raceway Park (SRP), commonly shortened to Sacramento Raceway or Sac Raceway, was a motorsports track on 198 acres (80 ha) near Rancho Cordova, California and the former Mather Air Force Base, known for holding weekly drag race events and annual Governors Cup Championship. It was completed in 1964 and the last races were held in November 2023.

Mather ( MAY-ther) is a census-designated place in Sacramento County, California. Mather sits at an elevation of 108 feet (33 m). The 2010 United States census reported Mather's population was 4,451. It is the site of the former Mather Air Force Base, closed by the federal government in 1993.

Apostolic School of Theology (AST) was a private online Apostolic Bible college based in Elk Grove, California. In It provided undergraduate and graduate programs to members of the Apostolic Pentecostal denomination. It is now closed.

Vineyard is a census-designated place (CDP) in Sacramento County, California, United States. It is part of the Sacramento–Arden-Arcade–Roseville Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 24,836 at the 2010 census, up from 10,109 at the 2000 census. Along with more than doubling its population in just one decade, Vineyard also grew to become one of Greater Sacramento's most racially diverse suburbs.

Rancho Omochumnes, also known as "Rancho Río de los Cosumnes al Norte", was a 18,662-acre (75.52 km2) Mexican land grant in present day Sacramento County, California. It was granted in 1844 by Governor Manuel Micheltorena to Jared Dixon Sheldon. The grant extended about 17 miles (27 km) along the north bank of the Cosumnes River, opposite Rancho Cosumnes, and encompassed present day city of Elk Grove and town of Sheldon, south of Sacramento.

Sheldon High School or SHS is a 9th–12th grade college-preparatory high school located in unincorporated Vineyard, California, a southeast suburb of Sacramento that is also north of Elk Grove. The school was established in 1997 as part of the Elk Grove Unified School District.

Mather Air Force Base (Mather AFB) was a United States Air Force Base, which was closed in 1993 pursuant to a post-Cold War BRAC decision. It was located 12 miles (19 km) east of Sacramento, on the south side of U.S. Route 50 in Sacramento County, California. Mather Field was one of 32 Air Service training camps established after the United States entry into World War I in April 1917.The Mather AFB land has various post-military uses including Sacramento Mather Airport, established in 1995. Some of the land was included in the City of Rancho Cordova, when it was incorporated in 2003.

Sacramento County ( ) is a county located in the U.S. state of California. As of the 2020 census, the population was 1,585,055. Its county seat is Sacramento, which has been the state capital of California since 1854. Sacramento County is the central county of the Greater Sacramento metropolitan area. The county covers about 994 square miles (2,570 km2) in the northern portion of the Central Valley, on into Gold Country. Sacramento County extends from the low delta lands between the Sacramento River and San Joaquin River, including Suisun Bay, north to about ten miles (16 km) beyond the State Capitol and east into the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The southernmost portion of Sacramento County has direct access to San Francisco Bay. Since 2010, statewide droughts in California have further strained Sacramento County's water security.

It is a program that was designed to provide safety education to young children in an interactive manner. The miniature town is complete with tiny versions of the California State Capitol building, municipal building, business buildings, and various streets in Sacramento, California.

George Washington Carver High School of Arts and Sciences is a public charter school in Rancho Cordova, California. It is one of only three public Waldorf High Schools in the United States.

Edward Kelley School (formerly Brighton School) in Sacramento County, California is a building first constructed sometime in the 1850s. The school has been in a district since 1858. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1981.The school was originally constructed as a single classroom facility, with a small library, and two foyers. The classroom was later partitioned into three separate rooms to accommodate the growing needs of the developing community. An additional out-building was constructed in the rear of the property, which itself also dates to the 1850s. The school building was almost completely destroyed at least twice during separate fires, once in 1874 and again in 1878. It then caught fire again in 1891, damaging a portion of the structure, and the current facade is a result of the 1891 reconstruction. There is some confusion regarding if the reconstructed work truly represents the original design of the building. A sign above the entryway indicates that the structure was built in 1869.The building was originally located several miles to the west of its current location, in a part of Sacramento, California once known as Brighton, but is now generally known as East Sacramento, near the location of California State University, Sacramento. In 1924 the school was moved to its current location in what today is known as the unincorporated community of Rosemont, California. A year later the school's name was changed from Brighton School to Edward Kelley School, in honor of the person who had donated the land on which the school now stands. Edward Kelley School is still in use today, primarily as a pre-school. It is the oldest continuously-operating schoolhouse in Sacramento County.
