The Free Library of Springfield Township is the public library system serving Springfield Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, US.

Whitemarsh Hall was a large estate located on 300 acres (1.2 km2) of land in Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania, United States, and owned by banking executive Edward T. Stotesbury and his wife, Eva. Designed by the Gilded Age architect Horace Trumbauer, it was built in 1921 and demolished in 1980. Before its destruction, the mansion was the third largest private residence in the United States. Today, it is regarded as one of the great losses in American architectural history. Despite the name, Whitemarsh Hall was located in Springfield Township, not in Whitemarsh Township which borders Springfield to the west.

La Salle College High School is a Catholic, college preparatory school for boys located in Wyndmoor, a community in Springfield Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, United States, outside Philadelphia, but within the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Black Horse Inn, also known as Sampson & the Lion, is a historic inn and tavern located in Flourtown in Springfield Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. The original section was built in 1744 and is a 2+1⁄2-story stuccoed stone structure with a one-story, stone kitchen addition in the rear. The original section measures 16 feet by 18 feet, and the kitchen addition 15 feet by 15 feet. In 1833, a three-story addition was made to the north and between 1880 and 1908, three one-story additions were made to the rear. Also in 1833, a one-story porch was added to the front, west, and south sides. The building is in the Federal style.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

Oreland station is a railroad station along the SEPTA Lansdale/Doylestown Line near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. The station, located at the intersection of Bridge Street and Bruce Road, includes a 99-space parking lot. In FY 2013, Oreland station had a weekday average of 276 boardings and 256 alightings. The current station was built by the Reading Railroad (RDG) in 1931, as a replacement for a station built in 1890.The RDG's former Plymouth Branch to Conshohocken begins behind the station via a wye track. Aside from a few hundred feet of track, the line to Conshohocken was abandoned by the RDG and Conrail in segments from the 1970s through the 1990s. The existing trackage was previously served by the Tank Car Corporation of America to store and rehabilitate railroad tank cars at their Oreland Mill Road property. Tank cars were buried underground to hold chemical waste from the fabrication, cleaning and painting of the working cars. The former site is currently undergoing a cleanup process being monitored by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Erdenheim is a community in Springfield Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. It is served by the 19038 ZIP Code. The primary commercial areas are located along Bethlehem Pike. The name is German for "Earthly Home," and comes from nearby Erdenheim Farm, which was established in 1765 by Johannes Georg Hocker. The area was known as "Heydricksdale" or simply "Wheelpump" after a local inn, but was changed to "Erdenheim" when the community was laid out in 1892. Students in Erdenheim attend schools in the Springfield Township School District. Springfield Township High School is located in Erdenheim. Phil-Mont Christian Academy is a private school located adjacent to Cisco Park in the building originally housing the first Springfield Township High School, and later Hillcrest Junior High. Cisco Park is also the site of the former Chestnut Hill Amusement Park, also known as White City (Philadelphia). Flourtown Fire Company in neighboring Flourtown protect the citizens of the small community. Erdenheim Terrace (near Auchy Lane and Erdenheim Road) contains some of the oldest still standing homes in the township. Erdenheim was subject to some of the first Post-War suburban development in the Philadelphia Area, with the Chesney Downs development, located between Glendalough Road, Avondale Road, and Longfield Road being constructed in the late 1940s, while the Holiday at Paper Mill Glen development, located between Harston Road, Fraser Road, and Atwood Road was constructed in 1955. The Springfield Mill and Yeakle and Miller Houses are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Philadelphia-Montgomery Christian Academy, commonly known as Phil-Mont Christian Academy, is a selective private Christian school serving grades PK-12. Phil-Mont was founded in 1943 by Cornelius Van Til and others. Phil-Mont's curriculum is rooted in a christian worldview, the principles of the liberal arts, and uses some features of a classical education model. Phil-Mont currently resides in the former Springfield Township High School & Hillcrest Junior High School building, built in 1923/24. Phil-Mont purchased the unused building and restored it to working order for grades 6-12 in 1979. The property was originally part of Chestnut Hill Park/White City Amusement Park, part of which is now also Springfield Township's James A. Cisco Park and Hillcrest Pond.
