All Saints Church, Claverley

Claverley is a village and civil parish in east Shropshire, England. The parish also includes the hamlets of Beobridge, Hopstone, Upper Aston, Ludstone, Heathton and a number of other small settlements. Claverley village is east of the market town of Bridgnorth, near the Staffordshire county boundary. The village has two public houses, The Plough and The Crown. Originally there were three pubs (top middle and bottom) however the bottom pub was converted into apartments after closing in the late 2010's. On the edge of the village is the Arts and Crafts style mansion, Brook House; it was built in 1937 for the Gibbons family, who made their money as lock and window merchants in Wolverhampton.

Beobridge is a small, scattered hamlet in Shropshire, England. It is in the civil parish of Claverley. Its name probably comes from Old English beo, "bee", and bryce, "bridge"; "bridge of the bees".

The Mid Severn Sandstone Plateau is a rural landscape and one of the natural regions of central England, straddling the border between the counties of Shropshire and Staffordshire. It stretches from the western fringes of the Birmingham conurbation to Telford in the north and Kidderminster in the south. The major feature of the plateau is the valley of the River Severn, which cuts through it from north to south. It consists of Permian and Triassic-age New Red Sandstone getting older as one goes west until one reaches Silurian and Carboniferous-age siltstones and coals west of the river.

Bobbington is a village and civil parish in the South Staffordshire district of Staffordshire, England, about 5 miles (8.0 km) west of Wombourne. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 506, increasing to 588 at the 2011 Census. Bobbington is just on the county border with Shropshire (to the west), and is about 8 miles (13 km) east of Bridgnorth in Shropshire. It is only about 5 miles (8.0 km) west of the border with West Midlands, and during World War II was home to Bobbington Airfield, renamed during the war as Halfpenny Green, and now known as Wolverhampton Halfpenny Green Airport. On the 12 November 1943 a Royal Air Force, Handley Page Halifax Mk II (BB326) crashed shortly after taking off from Bobbington airfield due a mechanical failure, killing seven of the eight crew.In recent years Bobbington has seen favour in the commuter culture being roughly equidistant from many of the region's business centres Wolverhampton (9.5 miles (15.3 km)) Dudley (9.4 miles (15.1 km)), Stourbridge (10.5 miles (16.9 km)) and Bridgnorth (8.6 miles (13.8 km)).

Morfe Forest was a medieval royal forest in east Shropshire. The forest was perambulated in 1300 and the bounds were recorded. The forest was bounded by the River Severn on the west, by the River Worfe on the north and stretched east to Abbots Castle Hill and south into Kings Nordley. At its core was a wood stretching from Bridgnorth to Six Ashes (near Enville) and Claverley. By the 17th century, the wood had become a heath, which was enclosed in 1805. The forest takes its name from the manor of Morfe (in Enville) which was however not part of the forest.

Rudge is a settlement and civil parish about 6 miles east of Bridgnorth, in the Shropshire district, in the ceremonial county of Shropshire, England. In 2001 the parish had a population of 98. The parish touches those of Claverley and Worfield within Shropshire and Pattingham and Patshull and Trysull and Seisdon in Staffordshire. Rudge shares a parish council with Worfield.

The Severn Valley is a rural area of the West Midlands region of England, through which the River Severn runs and the Severn Valley Railway steam heritage line operates, starting at its northernmost point in Bridgnorth, Shropshire and running south for 16 miles (26 km) to Ribbesford, a few miles south of Bewdley, Worcestershire in the Wyre Forest. The area is about 25 miles (40 km) due west of Birmingham. There is also use of this term to apply to areas around the River Severn as far south as Gloucester, and as far north as Ironbridge. To the north of Bridgnorth, the land to the sides of the river becomes much steeper, and the upstream part is known as Ironbridge Gorge. From Stourport-on-Severn south to Gloucester, the riverside has a much larger flood plain and loses its distinctive "valley" hillsides found a few miles north in Bewdley. To the south of Gloucester, it becomes the Vale of Berkeley and then the Severn Estuary.

Wolverhampton Halfpenny Green Airport (ICAO: EGBO), formerly Halfpenny Green Airport and Wolverhampton Business Airport, locally Bobbington Airport, is a small, 400-acre (1.6 km2) airport situated near the village of Bobbington, South Staffordshire. The airport is situated 8 mi (13 km) south-west of Wolverhampton, the city which it serves. Wolverhampton Airport has a CAA Public Use Aerodrome Licence (Number P872) that allows flights for the public transport of passengers or for flying instruction.

Worfield is a village and civil parish in Shropshire in the West Midlands, England. It is 120 miles (190 km) northwest of London and 10 miles (16 km) west of Wolverhampton. It is north of Bridgnorth and southeast of Telford. The parish, which includes the hamlet of Chesterton, is an extensive one which lies on the River Worfe. The name Worfield comes from its location on the river Worfe and the surrounding countryside (fields). The manor of Worfield is mentioned in Domesday Book, where it formed part of the Seisdon Hundred of Staffordshire and was held by Hugh of Montgomery, 2nd Earl of Shrewsbury.
