Trefethen Vineyards

Rancho Napa was a 22,718-acre (91.94 km2) Mexican land grant in present-day Napa County, California given in 1838 by Governor Juan Alvarado to Salvador Vallejo. The grant extends along the Napa Valley, north of present-day Napa.

Ashes & Diamonds Winery is a winery located in the Oak Knoll district of Napa Valley. Wine production began in 2014, and a tasting room was opened in October 2017. Ashes & Diamonds is known for producing wines which are influenced by ‘60s and ‘70s Napa wine-making techniques, and are lower-than-average in alcohol content, as well as for its mid-century modern architecture by Barbara Bestor.The property includes a 5,500-square-foot hospitality space and a 17,250-square-foot vineyard which is planted to 38 acres of primarily Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Some Syrah and Chardonnay are also grown and sold to other producers.

Justin-Siena High School is a Roman Catholic preparatory school in the Lasallian tradition, located in Napa, California within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Santa Rosa in California. The school was created when Justin High School for males, sponsored by the Christian Brothers of the San Francisco District, merged with St. Catherine of Siena High School for females, sponsored by the Dominican Sisters of San Rafael in 1972. The student population currently numbers approximately 600. It provides education to a diverse student population including North Bay residents from Napa, Solano, and Sonoma Counties, as well as international students. Justin-Siena has awarded more than $3.5 million in tuition assistance for the 2020-21 school year. Approximately 32.87% of students receive tuition assistance with the average grant covering 48.6% of tuition. The School is administered by a President and is staffed by religious and lay men and women.

Napa Valley is an American Viticultural Area (AVA) located in Napa County in California's Wine Country. It was established by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) on January 27, 1981. Napa Valley is considered one of the premier wine regions in the world. Records of commercial wine production in the region date back to the nineteenth century, but premium wine production dates back only to the 1960s.The combination of Mediterranean climate, geography and geology of the region are conducive to growing quality wine grapes. John Patchett established the Napa Valley's first commercial vineyard in 1858. In 1861 Charles Krug established another of Napa Valley's first commercial wineries in St. Helena. Viticulture in Napa suffered several setbacks in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, including an outbreak of the vine disease phylloxera, the institution of Prohibition, and the Great Depression. The wine industry in Napa Valley recovered, and helped by the results of the Paris Wine Tasting of 1976, came to be seen as capable of producing the best quality wine – equal to that of Old World wine regions. Napa Valley is now a major enotourism destination.

Clos du Val, French for “small vineyard estate of a small valley,” was founded in 1972 in the renowned Stags Leap District.

Vintage High School is a public, comprehensive high school with a student body count of over 1800. It is one of three comprehensive high schools in the Napa Valley Unified School District. The other comprehensive high schools are Napa High School and American Canyon High School. In addition, the district has a small technology high school New Technology High School, an Independent Studies school, an alternative high school (Valley Oak), and four comprehensive middle schools fed by 21 elementary schools. Assignment of students to the high schools is determined by the elementary area in which the student resides. In 1996, the California Department of Education recognized Vintage as a California Distinguished High School. In 1997, Vintage was selected as a California Department of Education Digital High School. Vintage has also received a California Distinguished High School award in 2009.

Stag's Leap Wine Cellars is a winery founded by Warren Winiarski in 1970 and based in the Stags Leap District of Napa Valley, California. The winery achieved significant international recognition in 1976, six years after its establishment, at the Judgment of Paris where its 1973 vintage Cabernet Sauvignon won first place among ten top French and California red wines in a blind taste test by leading French wine experts. The French wines tasted were prestigious first and second growths wines from the 1970 and 1971 vintage from Château Mouton-Rothschild, Château Haut-Brion, Château Leoville Las Cases and Château Montrose. The result of the tasting has been described by Decanter as "a victory that put California on the winemaking map, and established Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars as a global superstar".

Hagafen Cellars is a winery located in the Napa Valley. Founded in 1979, it was the first kosher winery in California, and is "the first of the upscale kosher brands." The winery is owned and operated by winemaker Ernie Weir and his wife, Irit Weir.

Stags Leap District is an American Viticultural Area (AVA) located in Napa County, California, directly east of the town of Yountville and approximately seven miles (11.3 km) north of the county seat of Napa. It was established as the nation's 104th, the state's 59th and the county’s sixth appellation on January 26, 1989 by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF), Treasury after reviewing two petitions received since 1985 from the Stags Leap Appellation Committee, hereinafter referred to as Group A, proposing a viticultural area in Napa Valley, California, to be known as "Stags Leap District." In the 1976 Judgment of Paris wine tasting, Stag's Leap Wine Cellars' 1973 Cabernet vintage, grown and processed in the locale later designated as an AVA, ranked first in the red wine category besting wines from top-rated Bordeaux estates, immediately recognizing California, specially Napa Valley, as a primer international viticulture region. According to the ruling, the Bureau concluded that the soil (including the topsoil) is the primary geographical feature that distinguishes Stags Leap District from the surrounding areas. The Bale soil series predominates the region with clay loam sediments from the Napa River and volcanic soil deposits left over from erosion of the Vaca Mountains. Stags Leap District is a small area, only about one by three miles (1.6 by 4.8 km), was the third sub-appellation within the renown Napa Valley particularly noted for its Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah. As of 2025, Stags Leap District is resident to approximately twelve vineyards and seventeen wineries.

Kolbe Academy & Trinity Prep is a private school in Napa, California. It offers grades from pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade and embraces a classically based Catholic educational model. It is located within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Santa Rosa, though it operates independently.

Ad Hoc is a family-style comfort food restaurant in Yountville, California. Opened by Thomas Keller in September 2006, Ad Hoc was meant to serve as a temporary cafe for six months but was retained as a permanent establishment.

The Veterans Home of California is located in Yountville, California, and was founded in 1884. The facility is the largest of its kind in the United States and has a population of almost 800 aged and disabled veterans of World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Gulf War, the War in Afghanistan, and Operation Enduring Freedom/Operation Iraqi Freedom. Several levels of care are offered to residents, including domiciliary services, residential care for the elderly, intermediate nursing care, skilled nursing care, and outpatient clinic. The grounds of the facility include the 1,214 seat Lincoln Theater (home of Symphony Napa Valley, Orchestra Institute Napa Valley as well as a robust education program), a 9-hole golf course, baseball stadium, a swimming pool, an onsite U.S. Post Office, and a military base exchange branch store. All of these facilities are available for use by resident veterans at no additional cost. Additionally, the home offers services specifically for residents including a fitness center, a resident operated television station, a bowling alley, the auto hobby shop has been closed, it still has a 35,000 volume library, creative arts center, and a multi-faith chapel. A cemetery on the grounds holds the graves of more than 5,500 veterans and their spouses dating back to the Spanish–American War of 1898.
