The Karkarduma or Karkardooma metro station is an interchange station located on both the Blue Line and the Pink Line of Delhi Metro that was opened on 6 January 2010. While the Blue Line station is at a height of 14.5 m, the Pink Line station, part of the Majilis Park-Shiv Vihar corridor of the Phase III of Delhi Metro, is the second highest station of the Delhi Metro network with a platform height of 20m from ground level.The station is named after the Karkardooma locality in East Delhi, around its historic twin village named Karkari. The area also has the district court of Delhi, the Karkardooma District Court in Karkardooma Courts Complex built in 1997–98.

East Delhi is an administrative district of Delhi in India. The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) of India is a statutory organization under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (Mo.E.F.C.C.). It was established in 1974 under the Water (Prevention and Control of pollution) Act, 1974. The CPCB is also entrusted with the powers and functions under the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. It serves as a field formation and also provides technical services to the Ministry of Environment and Forests under the provisions of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986. It coordinates the activities of the State Pollution Control Boards by providing technical assistance and guidance and also resolves disputes among them. It is the apex organization in country in the field of pollution control, as a technical wing of MoEFCC. The board is led by its chairperson appointed by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet of the Government of India. The current acting chairman is Amandeep Garg IAS (Jan 2025) and the Member Secretary is Bharat Kumar Sharma. CPCB has its head office in New Delhi, with nine regional directorates and 1 project office. The board conducts environmental assessments and research. It is responsible for maintaining national standards under a variety of environmental laws, in consultation with regional directorates, tribal, and local governments. It has responsibilities to conduct monitoring of water and air quality, and maintains monitoring data. The agency also works with industries and all levels of government in a wide variety of voluntary pollution prevention programs and energy conservation efforts. It advises the central government to prevent and control water and air pollution. It also advises the Governments of Union Territories on industrial and other sources of water and air pollution. CPCB along with its counterparts the State Pollution Control Boards (SPCBs) are responsible for implementation of legislation relating to prevention and control of environmental pollution. The board has approximately 500 full-time employees including engineers, scientists, and environmental protection specialists.

A couple of them are at the concourse level and one is at the entrance of gate number 2, which is near the entrance of V3S mall. Near the metro station, besides the V3S mall, there is PSK (Coffee Home), Scope Minar and several commercial office buildings. There's the famous Veer Savarkar Marg, also known as Mini Nehru Place, a technology hub. Moreover, there are showrooms of big clothing and jewelry brands. Just below the metro station is the Nirman Vihar Bus Stand, from where passengers can board buses for I.T.O, Khureji, Jheel, Pandav Nagar and other areas which are not connected to Delhi Metro.

Bonus: all of it is available at incredibly cheap prices. The market is pretty huge, and not the most organized. To reach the place, we'd suggest not taking a car and taking the metro. The nearest metro is Krishna Nagar(pink line) . Though It's at a walking distance from there..you can also take an auto or a rickshaw.
