Hlušovice is a municipality and village in Olomouc District in the Olomouc Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 1,000 inhabitants. Hlušovice lies approximately 6 kilometres (4 mi) north of Olomouc and 212 km (132 mi) east of Prague.

Andrův stadion is a football stadium in Olomouc, Czech Republic. It is the home ground of SK Sigma Olomouc and occasionally hosts matches of the Czech Republic national team. The stadium holds 12,566 people. It was built in 1940 and is named after Josef Ander (1888-1976), local interwar businessman and philanthropist who also sponsored football in Olomouc. In the past, historical clubs SK Olomouc ASO and Křídla vlasti Olomouc played there.

Hradisko Monastery or Monastery Hradisko (Czech language: Klášter Hradisko or Klášterní Hradisko, or simply Hradiště; colloquially also: Moravský Escorial, English: Castle Monastery or Hillfort Monastery) is a former monastery and a former village north-east of the city of Olomouc, nowadays a suburb of Olomouc. Originally a Benedictine monastery, from the mid-12th century a Premonstratensian monastery, located in the historical principality of Moravia and Margraviate of Moravia, now part of present-day Czech Republic. The large complex occupies an area of more than one hectare, since 1995 declared a cultural heritage site and occupies the Olomouc military hospital.

The Zimní stadion Olomouc is an indoor sporting arena located in Olomouc, Czech Republic. It is currently home to the HC Olomouc ice hockey team. The capacity of the arena is 5,500 people (out of which 3,800 seating) and it was built in 1948 and roofed in 1967.

Horka nad Moravou is a municipality and village in Olomouc District in the Olomouc Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 2,600 inhabitants. It lies on the Morava River. Horka nad Moravou is approximately 6 kilometres (4 mi) north-west of Olomouc and 207 km (129 mi) east of Prague.

The siege of Olomouc took place in 1758 when a Prussian army led by Frederick the Great besieged the Austrian city of Olmütz (now Olomouc, Czech Republic) during the Prussian invasion of Moravia in the Third Silesian War (Seven Years' War). The attempt stalled as the besiegers faced stronger resistance than Frederick had expected. With a lack of supplies and the approach of an Austrian relief force following the Battle of Domstadtl, Frederick abandoned the siege and withdrew from Moravia.

Olomouc District (Czech: okres Olomouc) is a district (okres) within the Olomouc Region of the Czech Republic. Its capital is the city of Olomouc.

Church of Saint Maurice (Czech: Kostel svatého Mořice) is a Roman Catholic church in Olomouc, Czech Republic. It is located in the city centre, near the Horní náměstí ("Upper Square") and remains one of the most important landmarks of the city. It is unknown when exactly the church was constructed. It has two towers – the southern tower dates back to 1403, which is the oldest part of the building; the northern one dates back to 1412. The church was probably consecrated in 1492. The Neo-Gothic main altar was built in 1861. The church is built as arched triple-nave. Main nave contains church organs, which originates from 1740–45; with their five manuals and 135 registers they are the 7th largest in Central Europe (and 52nd in the world). Their author was organist Michael Engler. The church was designated a National Cultural Landmark by the government in 1995. The southern tower serves as a lookout tower with view on the whole city of Olomouc and surroundings.

Olomouc Premyslid Castle is one of the most important castle complexes in the Czech Republic. It is located on Wenceslas hill in the historic city of Olomouc.Originally there were two castles in Olomouc called "Old" and "new". The old one was located at the site of Villa Primavesi (street Alley). Olomouc Castle is a National Cultural Monument of Czech Republic since 1962, along with other monuments on the territory of Czechoslovakia by the Government Resolution dated March 30, 1962, no. 251/62, and Regulation of the Government dated 16 August 1995, no. 262/1995.

The Olomouc Astronomical Clock (Czech: Olomoucký orloj) is part of the northern wall of the town hall of Olomouc, Czech Republic. The astronomical clock was built the 15th century and has been reconstructed several times. The current appearance is from 1955 in the socialist realism style. It is one of the few heliocentric clocks in the world.

Saint Wenceslas Cathedral (Czech language: Katedrála svatého Václava) is a gothic cathedral at Wenceslas square in Olomouc, in the Czech Republic, founded in 1107. The square was named after Saint Wenceslaus I, Duke of Bohemia on the thousandth anniversary of his death in 935. The cathedral is also named after him. The Cathedral is the seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Olomouc.

The Olomouc Research Library (Czech: Vědecká knihovna v Olomouci) is a public library in Olomouc, Czech Republic. The library was established in 1566 by the Olomouc college and served until 1860 as University of Olomouc Library. Nowadays it is one of the largest libraries in the Czech Republic with unique collection of historical sources, among others 1451 manuscripts and 1700 incunables.
