Lärjedalen

Lärjeån is a Swedish river that flows from Stora Lövsjön, east of Gothenburg, to the Göta älv in the northern Lärjedalen valley.

All Saints Church (Swedish: Allhelgonakyrkan) a church building in Kortedala in Gothenburg, Sweden. Belonging to the Kortedala Parish of the Church of Sweden, it was officially opened on All Saints Day, 3 November 1956.

The Church of Our Lady (Swedish: Vårfrukyrkan) a church in Kortedala in Gothenburg in Sweden. Earlier belonging to the Kortdeala Parish of the Church of Sweden, it was inaugurated on 19 March 1972. In 2007, the Church of Sweden stopped using it and in 2008 it was sold to the Serbian Orthodox Parish.

Kortedala is a district, mainly residential (apartments), in the north-eastern part of Gothenburg in western Sweden. The area has a population of around 10,000 and is one of the typical 1950s suburbs of Gothenburg. The area has many trees and parks. Kortedala also has Gothenburg's largest ice-skating rink, Isdala, and a large sports centre, Alelyckan. There are four local squares, three smaller ones and the larger Kortedala Torg. Kortedala is on tram lines 6, 7 and 11, with line 6 terminating at Aprilgatan. In 2007, the Swedish musician Jens Lekman released an album titled Night Falls Over Kortedala. He also wrote a song called Tram #7 to Heaven about the tram to Bergsjön (where the streets are named after things to do with outer space), which passes through Kortedala.

Angered (Swedish pronunciation: [ˈâŋːɛˌreːd] ) is a borough of Gothenburg Municipality in Västra Götaland County, Sweden. Angered is the biggest Million Programme area in Gothenburg, and one of the biggest in the country, with 60,000 inhabitants.

Storås is an industrial area in Angered, in the northeast of Gothenburg. It has a tram stop, which is served by tram lines 4, 8 and 9. The next station to the south is underground, Hammarkullen

The Bellevue Mosque (Swedish: Bellevuemoskén) is a mosque in Gothenburg, Sweden. It is located at Generalsgatan 2A in the "Bellevue" district of Gothenburg. The mosque is administered by the Somali-dominated Islamic Sunni Centre Denomination (Swedish: Islamiska Sunnicentret Trossamfund, ISC) and advocates the Salafi movement of Islam. It was created with funds from Saudi Arabia.The mosque has been in the focus of media several times for its alleged ties to various Islamist and terrorist-designated organizations. According to an article in Göteborgs-Tidningen, Mirsad Bektašević, the Swedish citizen of Bosniak descent who was convicted on terrorism-related charges in Sarajevo in 2007, was a frequent attendee of the Bellevue Mosque. In the same article it was further claimed that the mosque had financial ties to the al-Haramain Foundation, a Saudi-based charity group which has been listed on the United Nations list of "entities belonging to or associated with al-Qaeda". Representatives from the foundation are also said to have visited the mosque at several occasions.In December 2006 it was reported that the mosque has been used to collect money for the Islamic Courts Union (ICU) in Somalia.In July 2009 it was reported that Xasan Xuseen, described as spiritual leader of the Somali Islamist group al-Shabaab, had been invited to speak at a conference at the mosque. al-Shabaab has carried out several suicide attacks in Somalia and is designated as a terrorist organization by the United States Department of State. It is also described, although not officially designated, as a terrorist organization by the Swedish Security Service among others.In November 2012, the mosque held the first public dawah course in the Swedish language, it was arranged by controversial British Islamic missionary group iERA and Sveriges Förenade Muslimer. According to the Swedish Defence University, nearly all individuals who have travelled from Gothenburg to join jihadi groups in Syria have been visitors to the mosque. The official web page of the mosque praise Sharia law as "just and merciful towards society as a whole".

Angereds Teater is a theater and actors workshop located at Kulturhuset Blå Stället in the Angered suburb of Gothenburg, Sweden. Angereds Teater is a center of culture for the area, offers plays for both adults and children and hosting a number of plays and other events throughout the year.Angereds Theater was founded in 1978 and was part of Gothenburg City Theatre until 1996. The theatre is part of Sweden's tradition of plays and other events especially for children, with a number of theatre and other artistic groups dedicated to this purpose. The theatre also offers Angereds Teaterskola featuring workshops for children with the aim of giving them an appreciation of the art.Angereds Teater appeared as part of the Festival Internacional Cervantino in Mexico in 2011 as part of latter's programming for children. The theatre company presented "The Butterfly Pilots" (Fjärilspiloterna), a play is a story about loneliness and friendship, sudden falls and happy new beginnings to show that new friends appear when old ones go away.The play was presented at the theatre in Gothenburg for over a year, with previous tours in Egypt and Syria. The play has extravagant scenery and in some parts, the audience can dance. The main performers of the play were Phax Said Cheik Ahamada, who has created a unique technique of breakdancing and Ami Skanberg Dahlstedt, who is known for combining dance styles from around the world into her work.

Gamlestaden station is a railway station located in the suburb of Gamlestaden in the Swedish city of Gothenburg, alongside the Norway/Vänern Line. Opened on December 8, 2012, the station has since been served by commuter trains as well as regional Västtrafik trains between Gothenburg and Vänersborg.

Surte (Swedish pronunciation: [ˈsɵ̂ʈːɛ] ) is a locality situated in Ale Municipality, Västra Götaland County, Sweden. It had 5,798 inhabitants in 2010. Surte Church is located in the town. It is located some 15 kilometers north of Gothenburg. Surte became well known for its glass works that started production in 1862 and became one of the major mechanized glass works in Sweden. It was bought by PLM in 1960 and shut down in 1978. In Surte, there was a large landslide in 1950, which killed one person and destroyed 30 houses. More houses had to be removed, causing 450 people to lose their home. It also blocked the river which had frequent ship traffic. Surte was the hometown of Alexander Samuelson. Although he was not the designer, he was the man named on the 1915 design patent for the legendary contour Coca-Cola bottle.The international Grand Master of chess Gideon Ståhlberg, one of the world's strongest players in the 1940s, was born and is buried in Surte. Surte is home to the bandy club Surte BK. They built one of the first indoor bandy arenas in Sweden (and subsequently in the world), which was the first in Götaland.The village Bohus, located 2½ km (1½ mile) north of Surte centre, has grown together with Surte and, in official statistics, is handled as one village.

Strömmensberg is a district in Gothenburg, Sweden, which belongs to Örgryte. It is a part of the officially defined residential district Bagaregården.

Vidkärr or Munkebäck is a district in Gothenburg, Sweden that belongs to Härlanda borough. The district is demarcated by the districts Strömmensberg to the west, Torpa to the east, Kålltorp to the south (by Torpagatan) and by the road E20 to the north. The commuter train between Gothenburg and Alingsås stops here at Sävenäs. Here you can find Torpavallen, the home arena of the football team Qviding FIF.
