The Shops at Atlas Park is an open-air shopping mall at Cooper Avenue and 80th Street in the Glendale neighborhood of Queens, New York City, United States. The Shops at Atlas Park was opened in April 2006 by ATCO Properties, encompassing the site of the former 25-acre (100,000 m2) Atlas Terminals industrial park, both of which were named after bodybuilder Charles Atlas who resided in nearby Middle Village.

The Remsen Cemetery is a private burial ground in Queens, New York City, at 69-43 Trotting Course Lane on the border of the Middle Village and Rego Park neighborhoods. The cemetery is on a 2.5-acre (1.0 ha) triangle just north of Metropolitan Avenue and one block east of Woodhaven Boulevard. The Remsen Cemetery contains the remains of members of the Remsen family who died between 1790 and the early 19th century. The burials in the cemetery include that of American Revolutionary War colonel Jeromus Remsen (1735–1790), as well as his wife, his brother, and four of his children. The remains of an eighth person, Bridget Remsen, are also in the cemetery. In the 20th century, commemorative military gravestones were placed there by the Veterans Administration, and memorials to World War I soldiers were erected in the cemetery. By the late 20th century, the cemetery was rundown, despite efforts by nearby landowners to keep it maintained. The New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission designated the Remsen Family Cemetery as a landmark in 1981, and the local American Legion post took over maintenance of the cemetery around the same time. During the first decade of the 21st century, the burial ground came under the administration of the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation (NYC Parks).

Parkside is a former elevated Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) station on the north side of Metropolitan Avenue on the border of the Rego Park, Forest Hills, and Glendale neighborhoods in Queens, New York City. Opened in 1927, the wooden station was part of the Rockaway Beach Branch and was the northernmost station on the branch before the junction with the Main Line at Rego Park Station and the terminus of the line at Grand Street station in Elmhurst. It also had a connecting spur to the Montauk Branch east towards Richmond Hill station. The station was closed in 1962, twelve years after the LIRR had abandoned the Rockaway portions of the line.

Ridgewood was a train station along the Lower Montauk Branch of the Long Island Rail Road, located at Woodhaven Boulevard near 78th Avenue in Glendale, Queens, just east of Glendale Junction, the connecting track between the Montauk Branch and Rockaway Beach Branch. It opened on June 2, 1883 and closed in 1924.

Rego Park is a former Long Island Rail Road station. It was made of wood, unlike most other stations that were concrete. The station opened in May 1928 with two side platforms outside the two Rockaway Beach Branch tracks that bracketed the four-track Main Line, so only Rockaway trains stopped there. After the Rockaway Trestle fire in 1950, the line was closed station by station. The station closed on June 8, 1962, one day before the Rockaway Beach Branch was abandoned. Nothing remains at the site today.

Rego Park is a neighborhood in the borough of Queens in New York City. Rego Park is bordered to the north by Elmhurst and Corona, to the east and south by Forest Hills, and to the west by Middle Village. Queens Metropolitan High School (QMHS) is a public high school in Forest Hills in Queens, New York. It is generally referred to simply as "QMHS," "Metro", or just "'Queens Metro" by the students. Middle Village is a mainly residential neighborhood in the central section of the borough of Queens, New York City, bounded to the north by the Long Island Expressway, to the east by Woodhaven Boulevard, to the south by Cooper Avenue and the former LIRR Montauk Branch railroad tracks, and to the west by Mount Olivet Cemetery. A small trapezoid-shaped area bounded by Mt. Olivet Crescent to the east, Fresh Pond Road to the west, Eliot Avenue to the north, and Metropolitan Avenue to the south, is often counted as part of Middle Village but is sometimes considered part of nearby Ridgewood. Middle Village is bordered by the neighborhoods of Elmhurst to the north, Maspeth and Ridgewood to the west, Glendale to the south, and Rego Park to the east. Housing in the neighborhood is largely single-family homes with many attached homes, and small apartment buildings. Middle Village is located in Queens Community District 5 and its ZIP Code is 11379. Glendale was a Long Island Rail Road station along the Lower Montauk Branch, located in Glendale, Queens at Edsall Avenue and 73rd Street, near Central Avenue, at the All Faiths Monuments factory for the All Faiths Cemetery. This station had two "platforms" which were just strips of pavement besides the tracks, and two tracks.However, there are proposals to bring back passenger service along the Lower Montauk Branch.

PS 144 Col. Jeromus Remsen School is a local elementary school in Forest Hills, Queens, New York City. The zoned middle school for PS 144 is J.H.S. 190 Russell Sage.

Juniper Valley Park is a 55.247-acre (223,580 m2) public park located within Middle Village, Queens, New York, United States. The park is bordered by Juniper Boulevard North on the north, Juniper Boulevard South on the south, Lutheran Avenue on the west, and Dry Harbor Road on the east; it is split into two parts by 80th Street. The park contains tennis, handball, Paddleball, basketball and bocce courts, as well as seven baseball fields, and a quarter-mile running track around a turf football/soccer field. Since the 1930s it has been run and operated by the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation. The park is served by the Q29, Q38 and Q47 buses, which all stop near the park.
