Den Hulst

Nieuwleusen (Low Saxon: Ni'jlusen) is a town in the Dutch province of Overijssel with 9300 inhabitants as of 2021. In the 2001 municipal reform, most of the former municipality of Nieuwleusen was incorporated into the municipality of Dalfsen. Some parts of the former municipality, including the Lichtmis area, was added to the neighbouring municipality of Zwolle.

Punthorst (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈpʏnt.ɦɔrst]) is a hamlet in the Dutch municipality of Staphorst in Overijssel. As of 2021, it had a population of 970.Punthorst is a relatively young residential area, which mostly emerged in the 1930s. The place was first attested as de Punt in 1830–1855. Punthorst itself is most likely a compound of punt ('point') and horst ('overgrown elevated place').

The Reest is a small creek that runs along IJhorst from the ice ages.

The romantic explanation is "neighbourhood with chaffinchs" or it might mean "neighbourhood with bad peat". In 1927, a church was constructed, and given its population, it could qualify as a village, but probably remained a hamlet due its spread out farms.

De Wijk is a village in the Netherlands province of Drenthe. It is located in the municipality of De Wolden, and is about 7 km southeast of Meppel. It is home to Rijksmonument 39657, De Wieker Meule. De Wijk was a separate municipality until 1998, when it became a part of De Wolden.

Noordwijk is not a statistical entity, and the postal authorities have placed it under De Wijk. It was first mentioned in the 1850s, and means "north of De Wijk". It consists of about 30 houses.

Avereest is a former municipality in the Dutch province of Overijssel. The largest town in the municipality was Dedemsvaart. In 2001, the area became a part of Hardenberg.
