Oupeye (French pronunciation: ​[upɛj]; Walloon: Oûpêye) is a municipality of Wallonia located in the province of liège, Belgium. On January 1, 2006, Oupeye had a total population of 23,581. The total area is 36.11 km² which gives a population density of 653 inhabitants per km². The municipality consists of the following districts: Haccourt, Hermalle-sous-Argenteau, Hermée, Heure-le-Romain, Houtain-Saint-Siméon, Oupeye, and Vivegnis.

The Pont de Wandre is a single-pier cable-stayed bridge carrying the N667 road across the Albert Canal and the river Meuse between Liège (on the east side) and Herstal (on the west side), both in Belgium.

Herstal (French pronunciation: [ɛʁstal] (listen); Walloon: Hesta), formerly known as Heristal, or Héristal, is a city and municipality of Wallonia located in the province of Liège, Belgium. It lies along the Meuse river. Herstal is included in the "Greater Liège" agglomeration, which counts about 600,000 inhabitants. The municipality consists of the following districts: Herstal, Liers, Milmort, and Vottem. A large armaments factory, the Fabrique Nationale or FN, and the biggest industrial zone of Wallonia (Haut-Sart) provide employment locally.

Wandre (French pronunciation: [wɑ̃dʁ]; Walloon: Wande) is a sub-municipality of the city of Liège located in the province of Liège, Wallonia, Belgium. It was a separate municipality until 1977. On 1 January 1977, it was merged into Liège.

The Coal mine of Hasard de Cheratte (or Cheratte 10) was the main colliery of the Société anonyme des Charbonnages du Hasard, and had four shafts. It is located in Cheratte, a section of the Belgian town of Visé in Liège province in Wallonia. The first shaft was dug in 1850 to extract dice coal and closed for the first time in 1877 following an accident. It reopened 30 years later in 1907 and operated until 1977. In the early 21st century the mine has gained some notoriety as an urban ruin. Remediation of the site and the demolition of several buildings start in 2017.

The Pont-barrage de Monsin ("bridge-dam or bridge-weir" of Monsin), across the Meuse at Liège, Belgium, was inaugurated for the 1930 Liège International Exposition. The new structure permitted the replacement of several locks and to stabilize the course of the Meuse. It incorporates a hydro-electric plant. Work began on the project in 1928, with metal fabrications made locally by Cockerill. It was partly destroyed on 11 May 1940 during the Battle of Belgium.The dam is topped by a road linking Jupille and the Port of Liège.

Jupille or Jupille-sur-Meuse (French pronunciation: ​[ʒypij syʁ møz]; Walloon: Djoupeye) is a district of the city of Liège, Wallonia, located in the province of Liège, Belgium. It was a municipality until 1977. Jupille is the location of the brewery Piedbœuf (InBev group), where Jupiler is made. It is also the death place of Pepin of Herstal. It has also been proposed as the birthplace of Pepin the Short, king of Franks (751-768) and perhaps even of his son Charlemagne, Emperor and king of the Franks, but there is no sure proof for these suppositions.

Piedboeuf Brewery (French: Brasserie Piedbœuf, French pronunciation: ​[bʁasʁi pjebœf]) is a brewery in Jupille-sur-Meuse, Belgium. It is owned by Anheuser–Busch InBev. The main brand is Jupiler, the best selling beer in Belgium.

Les Ardentes is a Belgian multi-day electro-rock music festival which yearly takes place in Liège, in early July. The last edition of the event took place in the district of Rocourt. Les Ardentes is organised ever since 2006, with Fabrice Lamproie and Gaëtan Servais as founders. The festival name is a French plural noun meaning "The Burning", a referral to the nickname of host city Liège, La cité ardente ("The Burning City"). Les Ardentes is one of the major festivals in the Meuse–Rhine Euroregion (formed by parts of Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands). Every year the happening attracts more people, with over 25,000 spectators at its start and a record of +-200.000 in the last edition of 2022. Since 2008, it is a four-day event whereas before it lasted three days. Les Ardentes has different stages on which the artists perform, the largest being situated in the centre of the park and others situated in the Halles des foires ("fair halls"). The festival is easily accessible by public transport - bus or train.

The Fort de Barchon is one of twelve forts built around Liège, Belgium, in the late 19th century. The overall Fortified Position of Liège was a constituent part of the country's National Redoubt. Fort de Barchon was built between 1881 and 1884 according to the plans of General Henri Alexis Brialmont. Contrasting with the French forts built in the same era by Raymond Adolphe Séré de Rivières, the fort was built exclusively of unreinforced concrete, a new material, rather than masonry. The fort was heavily bombarded by German artillery in the Battle of Liège. Barchon was upgraded in the 1930s in an attempt to forestall or slow an attack from Germany. It saw action in 1940 during the Battle of Belgium, and was captured by German forces. It is preserved as a museum and may be visited by the public.

Bressoux (French pronunciation: [bʁesu]; Walloon: Bressou) is a sub-municipality of the city of Liège located in the province of Liège, Wallonia, Belgium. The municipality of Bressoux was formed on 1 July 1871, when it was detached from the municipality of Grivegnée. On 1 January 1977, it was merged into Liège.
