Vottem (Walloon: Votem) is a village of Wallonia and a district of the municipality of Herstal, located in the province of Liège, Belgium. The Rida river has its springs in Vottem. It was a fully-fledged municipality up to 1976. The Jolivet and Bernalmont hamlets had already been transferred to the town of Liège in 1975.

Rocourt (French pronunciation: [ʁɔkuʁ] (listen); Walloon: Rôcou) is a district of the city of Liège, Wallonia, located in the province of Liège, Belgium. It is a former municipality which has been part of the municipality of Liège since 1977. Formerly known as Rocoux or Roucoux, it was the site of the battle of Rocoux in 1746, during the War of the Austrian Succession. It is now known for its maternity hospital, one of the biggest in Belgium, where a few famous people were born, such as Justine Henin, Marie Gillain and David Goffin. Rocourt also hosted the stadium of RFC Liège from 1921 until 1995. The football club has played in new stadium in Rocourt since 2015.

The Citadel of Liège was the central fortification of the strategic Belgian city of Liège, Wallonia until the end of the 19th century. It is located in the Sainte-Walburge neighborhood, 111 metres (364 ft) above the Meuse valley. The first citadel was built on the heights overlooking the city in 1255. It was rebuilt in a pentagonal shape by Prince-Bishop Maximilian Henry of Bavaria in 1650. This fortress was destroyed by France shortly afterwards, then rebuilt in 1684. During the Napoleonic Wars, it was given five bastions in the style of Vauban. By the late 19th century the citadel had become obsolete as a fort, replaced by the twelve forts of the Fortified Position of Liège, though it continued in use as a barracks and as a command post for the Fortified Position, contributing to the country's National Redoubt. In the 1970s the citadel was largely destroyed by the construction of a hospital on the site. The southern walls remain. An area on the north side is a memorial to Belgians executed in the citadel by German occupiers in World Wars I and II, while 20th-century bunkers remain on the south side.

Juprelle (French pronunciation: ​[ʒypʁɛl]; Walloon: Djouprele) is a municipality of Wallonia located in the province of Liège, Belgium. On 1 January 2006 Juprelle had a total resident population of 8,405. The total area is 35.36 km² which gives a population density of 238 inhabitants per km². The municipality consists of the following districts: Fexhe-Slins, Juprelle, Lantin, Paifve, Slins, Villers-Saint-Siméon, Voroux-lez-Liers, and Wihogne.

Montagne de Bueren (French pronunciation: ​[mɔ̃taɲ də byʁɛn, -ʁən]) is a 374-step staircase in Liège, Belgium. The staircase is named after Vincent de Bueren, who defended Liège against an attack by the Duke of Burgundy, Charles the Bold in the 15th century. It was built in 1881 to honour the 600 soldiers who died in the battle.In 2013, Montagne de Bueren was ranked as #1 on The Huffington Post's list of Most Extreme Staircases.In July 2020, in response to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in Belgium, Belgian explorer and adventurer Louis-Philippe Loncke ascended and descended the staircase 135 times carrying a 15 kg backpack, simulating an ascent of Mount Everest. The 9000m climb, which took 65 hours 30 minutes, was meant to show that one could still "trouver des défis physiques près de chez soi" (find physical challenges close to home).

The Collegiate Church of St. Bartholomew is an historical building in Liège, Belgium. Founded outside the city walls, it was built in coal sandstone, starting in the late 11th century (the chancel) and lasting until the late 12th century (the massive westwork, with its twin towers which were reconstructed in 1876). It underwent, like most ancient religious buildings, modifications through the centuries. Nevertheless, the Meuse Romanesque—Ottonian architecture character of its architecture remained deeply rooted. The 18th century saw the addition of two more aisles, the opening of a neoclassical portal in the walls of the westwork, and the French Baroque redecoration of the interior. The interior of the western section has recently been restored back to the original style. The Collegiate Church of St. Bartholomew was one of the original seven collegiate churches of Liège, which also included the Churches of St. Peter, St. Paul, St. John, St. Denis, St. Martin, and the Holy Cross, and until the Liège Revolution of 1789 collectively comprised the "secondary clergy" in the First Estate of the Prince-bishopric of Liège. In 2006, the church emerged from heavy restoration work lasting seven years and involving 10,000 replaced stones and the restoration of the polychromy of the walls).

The Ansembourg Museum (Musée d'Ansembourg) is a museum in the Belgian city of Liège. It is housed in the hôtel d'Ansembourg on Féronstrée in the historic heart of the city.

Lantin Prison is a minimum detention centre located in Lantin near Liège in Belgium. The prison holds 694 male prisoners and 61 female prisoners. In July 2007, deaths from heroin and cocaine were reported from the prison. 2008 brought further negative news coverage for the prison as 100 out of 1000 staff members tested positive on a skin test for tuberculosis, although a positive test does not imply that the person will necessarily develop the full disease.

Naimette-Xhovémont (French pronunciation: ​[nɛmɛt (h)ɔvemɔ̃]) is a quarter in the district of Saint Walburga within the city of Liège, Wallonia, located in the province of Liège, Belgium. It is situated south-east of the river Meuse, on its left bank. The area is sometimes called the Montmartre of Liège because of the vibrant life on the steep cobbled streets, plus magnificent gardens which are sometimes open to the public. The sports complex of Liège Province is located on the hill and is used by RFC Athletics and Rugby RFC Liège. A second rugby stadium is scheduled for completion in late summer 2014. The name of the neighbourhood inspired the giant Xhovémont mascot of RFC Liège Rugby.

The Palace of the Prince-Bishops (French: Palais des Princes-Evêques) is a historic building situated on the Place Saint-Lambert in the centre of Liège, Belgium. It was the residence of former Prince-Bishops of Liège and once faced the monumental Cathedral of St. Lambert. It now houses the Palace of Justice of Liège and the Provincial Palace, i.e. the government building of Liège Province.
