Desio railway station

The Battle of Desio was fought on 21 January 1277 between the Della Torre and Visconti families for the control of Milan and its countryside. The battlefield is located near the modern Desio, a commune outside the city in Lombardy, Northern Italy. Although generally considered one of the numerous minor battles fought in the 13th century in Italy during the Wars of the Guelphs and Ghibellines, it was in fact the conclusion of a long inner struggle for the possession of Milan, leading to the transformation of the former democratic regime into an aristocratic signoria. The Visconti victory granted them the rule over Milan, which lasted until the 15th century.

The Villa Traversi Tittoni, or Villa Cusani Traversi Tittoni is a rural palace in Desio, northern Italy. An original palace at the site was built by the aristocratic Cusani family. The structure was rebuilt and redesigned first in 1776 by Giuseppe Piermarini in a Neoclassical style. In 1817, the villa was sold to the lawyer Giovanni Traversi; beginning in 1840, the interiors were refurbished and the façade added by Pelagio Palagi. The palace has extensive gardens, designed in a free nineteenth century "English style". In 1900, the Villa became property of Tommaso Tittoni, a statesman and diplomat. After World War II, the house functioned as a seminary, until, in 1975, it was acquired by the comune of Desio. The villa now hosts a library and museum, named after Giuseppe Scalvini.

The PalaBancoDesio (full name: Palazzetto dello Sport di Desio, known for sponsorship reasons as PalaBancoDesio) is an arena located in Desio, Lombardy, Italy. Opened in 1992, the arena – with a capacity of 6,700 or 8,000 depending on the layout – has hosted a number of sporting and artistic events, chief of which have been basketball and gymnastics.

Seregno railway station is the railway station of the city of Seregno, in Italy. The station is located on the Milan–Chiasso railway, and is the terminus of the Saronno–Seregno and Seregno–Bergamo lines.

The city is served by the SS36- Highway of Lake of Como and Spluga and by the Milan–Chiasso railway line. Lissone received the honorary title of city by a presidential decree on November 27, 1982. Lissone is served by Lissone-Muggiò railway station.

It received the honorary title of city with a presidential decree. Nova Milanese borders the following municipalities: Cinisello Balsamo, Desio, Muggiò, Paderno Dugnano, Varedo.

The Villa Torneamento is a historical building in Monza, northern Italy, in the Taccona Street, in the northern suburbs of the city, in the district of San Fruttuoso. It is 400 metres (1,300 ft) from the residential district of Triante. Known as The Castle by residents, it is used by the Daughters of Divine Zeal for a nursery school and primary school called Padre Annibale di Francia.

As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 6,751 and an area of 3.2 square kilometres (1.2 sq mi).The municipality of Macherio contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Bareggia, Pedresse, and Belvedere. Macherio borders the following municipalities: Triuggio, Lesmo, Sovico, Biassono, Lissone.

Albiate (Brianzöö: AElbiàa) is a town and commune in the province of Monza and Brianza. It lies 25 kilometres (16 mi) north of Milan, at an elevation of 250 metres (820 ft) above sea level where the last morenic hills of upper Lombardy meet the Lombard plain. It borders on the communes of Seregno, Carate Brianza, Sovico, Triuggio, Lissone.
