Seregno railway station

Desio is a railway station in Italy. Located on the Milan–Chiasso railway, it serves the town of Desio.

The Villa Traversi Tittoni, or Villa Cusani Traversi Tittoni is a rural palace in Desio, northern Italy. An original palace at the site was built by the aristocratic Cusani family. The structure was rebuilt and redesigned first in 1776 by Giuseppe Piermarini in a Neoclassical style. In 1817, the villa was sold to the lawyer Giovanni Traversi; beginning in 1840, the interiors were refurbished and the façade added by Pelagio Palagi. The palace has extensive gardens, designed in a free nineteenth century "English style". In 1900, the Villa became property of Tommaso Tittoni, a statesman and diplomat. After World War II, the house functioned as a seminary, until, in 1975, it was acquired by the comune of Desio. The villa now hosts a library and museum, named after Giuseppe Scalvini.

The Battle of Desio was fought on 21 January 1277 between the Della Torre and Visconti families for the control of Milan and its countryside. The battlefield is located near the modern Desio, a commune outside the city in Lombardy, Northern Italy. Although generally considered one of the numerous minor battles fought in the 13th century in Italy during the Wars of the Guelphs and Ghibellines, it was in fact the conclusion of a long inner struggle for the possession of Milan, leading to the transformation of the former democratic regime into an aristocratic signoria. The Visconti victory granted them the rule over Milan, which lasted until the 15th century.

The PalaBancoDesio (full name: Palazzetto dello Sport di Desio, known for sponsorship reasons as PalaBancoDesio) is an arena located in Desio, Lombardy, Italy. Opened in 1992, the arena – with a capacity of 6,700 or 8,000 depending on the layout – has hosted a number of sporting and artistic events, chief of which have been basketball and gymnastics.

Located on the Milan–Asso railway, it serves the town of Cabiate and it also represents the principal entrance to the Parco della Brughiera, a wood from Cabiate to Montorfano.
