Rainier Beach, Seattle

Kubota Garden is a 20-acre (81,000 m²) Japanese garden in the Rainier Beach neighborhood of Seattle, Washington. A public park since 1987, it was started in 1927 by Fujitaro Kubota, a Japanese emigrant. Today, it is maintained as a public park by the Seattle Parks and Recreation and the Kubota Garden Foundation.

Beer Sheva Park is a small park located on Lake Washington in the Rainier Beach neighborhood of Seattle, Washington. Dedicated in 1905 as Atlantic City Park after the subdivision, it was renamed after Beer Sheva, Israel, in 1977, to honor Seattle's new sister city. In Beer Sheva, Israel, a "Seattle Park" was made in honor of Seattle's gesture.

Lakeridge is a hillside neighborhood near Lake Washington located mostly in unincorporated Skyway/West Hill in King County, Washington and partially in the southeast portion of the City of Seattle's Rainier Beach neighborhood. Its boundaries extend from Seattle's Rainier Beach neighborhood on the north, to Lake Washington on the east, to unincorporated Bryn Mawr on the southeast and unincorporated Skyway on the southwest.

Rainier Beach High School is a public secondary school (grades 9-12) in the Seattle Public Schools system. It is located in the Rainier Beach area, in the southeastern part of the city of Seattle, Washington, United States. The school historically has had a strong emphasis on team sports, and many championship teams. The building has a capacity of 1,200 students, but enrollment has declined greatly in recent years. In 2006, 1,302 of the 1,600 high school students living in the Rainier Beach neighborhood traveled out of the area each morning to attend other high schools. In 2008–09, Rainier Beach began the year with 453 students and ended with about 295, giving an average monthly enrollment of 374. Sixty students chose it as their first choice. In 2013 the school began offering an International Baccalaureate program.

Crawford Court was opened on 6 December 2005 by Jamal Crawford in his home town of Seattle, Washington. The court cost $100,000 and is for the use of Rainier Beach High School students. Crawford's high school number (23) is retired at the school, and is on display in the gym.

Dunlap is a neighborhood in south Seattle, Washington, just north of Rainier Beach. It is home to Dunlap Elementary School, part of the Seattle Public Schools. Dunlap is named after Joseph Dunlap, the first homesteader in the area.

South Lake High School is a public secondary school located in the Rainier Beach neighborhood of Seattle, Washington. South Lake High School is an alternative high school for students suspended or expelled from other schools, teenage parents or students who prefer smaller schools.

Washington's 37th legislative district is one of forty-nine districts in Washington state for representation in the state legislature. The district encompasses Beacon Hill, Central District, Rainier Valley, Columbia City, Rainier Beach, and Renton. The district's legislators are state senator Rebecca Saldaña and state representatives Sharon Tomiko Santos (position 1) and Kirsten Harris-Talley (position 2), all Democrats. On December 12, 2016, Rebecca Saldaña was selected to fill Pramila Jayapal's seat in the senate over Rory O'Sullivan and Shasti Conrad following a special appointment by the King County Council. Jayapal had recommended Saldaña for her replacement, stating "Rebecca is a proven and effective leader – she has gotten results on some of the toughest issues our community faces. I strongly support her appointment to the State Senate."

Rainier Beach station is a light rail station in Seattle, Washington. It is between the Tukwila International Boulevard and Othello stations on Line 1. The line runs from Seattle–Tacoma International Airport to Downtown Seattle and the University of Washington as part of the Link light rail system. The station consists of an at-grade island platform south of South Henderson Street in the median of Martin Luther King Jr. Way in the Rainier Beach neighborhood, part of Seattle's Rainier Valley. The Rainier Beach area was proposed for light rail service in 1995 and included in the final plan for Central Link (now Line 1) approved in 1999. Construction on Rainier Beach station began in 2006, and regular train service began on July 18, 2009. Trains serve the station twenty hours a day on most days; the headway between trains is six minutes during peak periods, with less frequent service at other times. Rainier Beach station is also served by three King County Metro bus routes that connect it to Beacon Hill, Downtown Seattle, Georgetown, Mount Baker and Renton. The station also has six art installations that were funded by a systemwide art program.

Allentown is a neighborhood of Tukwila, Washington, on the Duwamish River. It is situated between the Rainier View neighborhood of southern Seattle and the Boulevard Park neighborhood of unincorporated King County.

Bryn Mawr-Skyway (pronounced from Welsh for "big hill") is a census-designated place (CDP) in King County, Washington, United States. The population was 17,397 at the 2020 census.Bryn Mawr-Skyway was the only CDP in the Seattle metropolitan area to have reported a majority-minority population in the 2000 census. Since that time, the area has grown even more diverse. As of the 2010 census, the cultural makeup of the Skyway area is almost evenly balanced between White, Black or African American, and Asian community members.

Bikur Cholim Machzikay Hadath, abbreviated as BCMH, is an Orthodox Jewish congregation and synagogue located at 5145 South Morgan Street, in the Seward Park neighborhood of Seattle, Washington, in the United States. It is the oldest synagogue in Washington state; and practises Ashkenazi traditions.
