John L. Kinsey School is a former K-8 school located in the West Oak Lane neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was a part of the School District of Philadelphia. As of 2017, the school building is now home to Building 21, a public high school in the innovative school district network. It was designed by Henry deCoursey Richards and built by Cramp & Co. in 1915–1916. It is a four-story, seven bay reinforced concrete and brick building on a raised basement in Late Gothic Revival-style. It features a projecting entrance bay and limestone and terra cotta decorative details.

It was designed by Irwin T. Catharine and built in 1937–1938. It is a two-story, five bay, brick building in a Georgian Revival / Moderne-style. It features a large stone entrance and truncated steeple.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

West Oak Lane is a neighborhood in the Northwestern Philadelphia. The neighborhood was developed primarily between the early 1920s and late 1930s, with the areas near to Cedarbrook constructed after World War II. At the northeast corner of Limekiln Pike and Washington Lane was the site of the Cedar Park Inn, a historic tavern built in the early 19th century, which was torn down sometime after 1931 as the neighborhood was being fully developed. Although it was predominately Caucasian from its inception until the mid-1960s, West Oak Lane is now one of Philadelphia's middle-class African American communities. The neighborhood is known throughout the city for its jazz festival. The West Oak Lane Jazz Festival has been held in mid-June since 2003. Artists such as Chaka Khan, Teena Marie, Jeffrey Osbourne and Chrisette Michele have performed at the West Oak Lane Jazz Festival. However, since March 2012, the West Oak Lane Jazz Festival has been cancelled. “The festival was never supposed to be something that was going to last forever,” the Ogontz Avenue Revitilization Corporation (OARC) director of marketing and public relations Naja Killebrew stated. "We accomplished everything we wanted to do with it." The neighborhood has distinct architecture that separates it from surrounding neighborhoods. Along with larger and sometimes detached houses, West Oak Lane also has many tree-lined streets and small yards. In 2005, the 19126 and 19138 ZIP codes, which contain West Oak Lane, had a median home sale price of $113,200. This was a 34-percent increase over the median price in 2004. The median home sale price as of April 2015 was $122,941, which was a 1.2% percent increase from the previous year.

Joseph Pennell Elementary School is a historic elementary school in the Belfield neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is part of the School District of Philadelphia. The building was designed by architect Irwin T. Catharine and built in 1926–1927. It is a three-story brick building, nine bays wide with projecting end bays in the Late Gothic Revival style. An addition was built in 1954. The school is named for illustrator Joseph Pennell (1857–1926).The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Northwood Cemetery is a cemetery located in the West Oak Lane neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. It was established in 1878.

Philadelphia National Cemetery is a United States National Cemetery located in the West Oak Lane neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was established in 1862 as nine leased lots in seven private cemeteries in the Philadelphia region. In 1881, the current location was established and the graves of soldiers were reinterred from the various leased lots. It is administered by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, and managed from offices at Washington Crossing National Cemetery. It is 13 acres in size and contains 13,202 burials. The cemetery contains monuments recognizing the reinterment of soldiers from the Battle of Germantown and the Mexican–American War. A Confederate Soldiers and Sailors Monument was dedicated in 1912 to honor the reinterment of 184 Confederate prisoners of war who died in Philadelphia area hospitals and camps during the American Civil War. The cemetery was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

Julia Ward Howe School, also called Julia Ward Howe Academics Plus Elementary School is a historic school located in the Fern Rock neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is part of the School District of Philadelphia. The building was designed by Henry deCourcy Richards and built in 1913–1914. It is a three-story, five bay, brick building in the Tudor Revival-style. It features a central limestone entrance and terra cotta trim and decorative panels. The school was named for abolitionist and author Julia Ward Howe (1819-1910). The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

Suffolk Manor Apartments is a historic apartment building located in the Ogontz neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is a six-story, 138 unit, steel frame and brick building on a stone foundation, built in 1930 in the Tudor Revival style. It is in an "H" plan form, with five sections, 84 feet, 6 inches, deep, and 328, 8 inches, wide. It features a crenelated parapet, half timbering with stucco infill, stone buttressing, and a main entrance with heavy oak double doors in an Elizabethan arch.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

Upsala is a historic mansion in Mount Airy, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. Considered one of the finest extant examples of Federal architecture, the mansion is a contributing property of the Colonial Germantown Historic District and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the Philadelphia Register of Historic Places. During the 1777 Battle of Germantown, American troops gathered on the site before attacking British forces across Germantown Avenue at Cliveden, Benjamin Chew's mansion.

The Olney Transportation Center, also called Olney Terminal, is a SEPTA bus and subway station in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is located at the intersection of Broad Street and Olney Avenue in the Logan neighborhood of North Philadelphia. It is a major bus terminal as well as the last subway stop on the Broad Street Line before the Fern Rock Transportation Center terminus. Olney Transportation Center is located near Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia, La Salle University, Central High School, and the Philadelphia High School for Girls. The Olney neighborhood is a short distance east of the center; the center's name derives from Olney Avenue, which runs through both Olney and Logan. It is the second-most traveled terminal or transportation center in SEPTA's organization.
