The 3rd arrondissement of Paris (IIIe arrondissement) is one of the 20 arrondissements (districts) of the capital city of France. In spoken French, this arrondissement is colloquially referred to as the "troisième" meaning "third" in French. Its postal code is 75003. It is governed locally together with the 1st, 2nd and 4th arrondissement, with which it forms the 1st sector of Paris. The arrondissement, called Temple and situated on the right bank of the River Seine, is the smallest in area after the 2nd arrondissement. The arrondissement contains the northern, quieter part of the medieval district of Le Marais (while the 4th arrondissement contains Le Marais' more lively southern part, notably including the gay district of Paris).

Inter-LGBT (Interassociative Lesbienne, Gaie, Bi et Trans) is an umbrella group of 50 LGBT organisations in France.

The Carreau du Temple is a covered market in the 3rd arrondissement of Paris, built in 1863. As part of a public consultation exercise undertaken in 2004 the local population voted that the Carreau should be redeveloped as polyvalent public space. The Carreau is scheduled to reopen in 2013.The carreau is situated near the former site of the Temple, the medieval enclosure of the Knights Templar, which gained notoriety as the prison where the Royal family were held during the French Revolution. In 1811 a wooden structure was erected on the site to house a permanent market, which was replaced by the current cast iron, brick and glass structure in 1863. The market specialised in selling clothes, but has declined in popularity. Major renovation of the Carreau du Temple is due to be completed by the end of 2013. During the work, the building was stripped to its metallic structure. Various facilities will be created below ground level and on the main floor. Among the new facilities is a 250-seat auditorium and 1,800 square metres (19,000 sq ft) of multipurpose space at ground level, and below ground level, sport and cultural facilities, including a recording studio. The capacity of the renovated building will be 2800 persons.

Galerie Maria Wettergren is a contemporary art and design gallery in Paris, France, founded and directed by Maria Wettergren. The gallery represents a selection of contemporary artists and designers working with different media. Interdisciplinary dialogues between art, design, architecture and crafts are central to the artistic direction of the gallery, with a strong focus on textile arts by women artists, art-design and kinetic photography. The Henri Cartier-Bresson Foundation (French: Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson), also known as Fondation HCB, is an art gallery and non-profit organisation in Paris that was established to preserve and show the work of Henri Cartier-Bresson and Martine Franck, and show the work of others. It was set up in 2003 by the photographer and painter Cartier-Bresson, his wife, also a photographer, Franck, and their daughter, Mélanie Cartier-Bresson. The Foundation hosts four solo exhibitions per year by a variety of photographers, painters, sculptors, and illustrators. Agnès Sire is its artistic director and François Hébel its director.

The Duperré School of Applied Arts is a public college of art and design. The school is located in the Rue Dupetit-Thouars, in the 3rd arrondissement of Paris, near the Carreau du Temple, in the heart of Le Marais. Duperré School trains students for creative careers in fashion and textiles, as well as environmental and graphic design. In addition it has training programmes for designer-makers in textiles (embroidery, weaving and tapestry) and ceramics.

The Square du Temple is a garden in Paris, France in the 3rd arrondissement, established in 1857. It is one of 24 city squares planned and created by Georges-Eugène Haussmann and Jean-Charles Adolphe Alphand. The Square occupies the site of a medieval fortress in Paris, built by the Knights Templar. Parts of the fortress were later used as a prison during the French Revolution, and then demolished by the mid-19th century.

Rue Pastourelle is a street in the third district (or arrondissement) of Paris. Its nearest metro stations are Arts et Métiers and Saint-Sébastien - Froissart. It starts at Rue Charlot and ends at Boulevard du Temple. The street is named for Roger Pastourelle who lived here in 1378 when he was a member of the French parliament.

It spreads across parts of the 3rd and 4th arrondissements in Paris (on the Rive Droite, or Right Bank, of the Seine). Once shabby, the district has been rehabilitated and now sports trendy shopping and restaurants in streets such as Rue des Francs-Bourgeois and Rue des Rosiers.

The Convent of Our Lady of Calvary (French: couvent de Notre-Dame du Calvaire), also named Convent of the Filles du Calvaire (couvent des Filles du Calvaire), is a former Roman Catholic convent in Paris, France.

The museum collection includes more than 5,000 works of art (paintings, sculptures, drawings, ceramics, prints, engravings and notebooks) and tens of thousands of archived pieces from Picasso’s personal repository, including the artist's photographic archive, personal papers, correspondence, and author manuscripts. A large portion of items were donated by Picasso’s family after his death, in accord with the wishes of the artist, who lived in France from 1905 to 1973.
