The Church of Saint-Denys-de-Saint-Sacrament is a Roman Catholic church located in the Marais quarter, at 68 Rue de Turenne in the 3rd arrondissement of Paris, France. It was constructed between 1826 and 1835, It took its name from Saint Denys, the first bishop of Paris, and from the church of the Benedictines of the Perpetual Order of the Saint Sacrament, which had previously occupied the site. The early church was too small for the growing congregation and was replaced by the larger present church. It is an example of Neoclassical architecture, a style very popular in Paris the first half of the 19th-century.The artworks in the church include a notable panting by Eugene Delacroix, The Pieta or The Deposition from the Cross (1826–1835). The church was classified as a Monument historique in 1914.

The Boulevard du Crime was the nickname given in the 19th century to the Boulevard du Temple in Paris because of the many crime melodramas that were shown every night in its many theaters. It is notorious in French history for having lost so many theatres during the rebuilding of Paris by Baron Haussmann in 1862. Of the theatres on the boulevard, only the Folies-Mayer escaped demolition during the construction of Place de la République—solely because it was on the opposite side of the street.In spite of the name, the "Boulevard of Crime" was not dangerous or unpleasant. In fact, it was one of the most popular places in Paris. Every night more than 20,000 people came to walk, sing, laugh and have fun.The "Boulevard du Crime" is featured in the 1945 film Children of Paradise directed by Marcel Carné and gives its name to the first of two sections of the film.

The Boulevard du Temple, formerly nicknamed the "Boulevard du Crime", is a thoroughfare in Paris that separates the 3rd arrondissement from the 11th. Filles du Calvaire (French pronunciation: ​[fij dy kalvɛːʁ]) is a station on line 8 of the Paris Métro, named after the Boulevard des Filles du Calvaire. The station opened on 5 May 1931 with the extension of the line from Richelieu - Drouot to Porte de Charenton. The boulevard was named after the Calvairiennes or Filles du Calvaire (Daughters of Calvary) who were an order of reformed Benedictine sisters. Antoinette d’Orléans and Père Joseph founded the order in Poitiers, in 1617. The convent was later moved to Paris and was closed in the French Revolution.

The station opened on 5 May 1931 with the extension of the line from Richelieu–Drouot to Porte de Charenton. The Rue de Saint-Sébastien was named after Saint Sebastian. The Rue Froissart was named after the poet and writer Jean Froissart (ca 1337–1400).

The Confluence Institute, in full: Confluence Institute for Innovation and Creative Strategies in Architecture, is an independent international school of architecture in Paris. Founded in 2014 by French architect Odile Decq and Matteo Cainer, originally from Lyon, the Confluence Institute was created with the aim of breaking the rules of conventional architectural education and exceeding the expectations of traditional architectural pedagogy. To this end, the transdisciplinary approach is based on five themes - neuroscience, new technologies, social action, visual arts and physics - which are taught in a dynamic curriculum delivered in French and English, combining theory and practical learning. This public school, which has been based in Paris since 2018, does not allow students to practise the profession of architect in France, as the diplomas obtained are not recognised and it is not possible to register with the Chamber of Architects or use the title ‘architect’. In February 2018, the Royal Institute of British Architects recognised the bachelor's and master's degrees awarded by the Confluence Institute. The five-year programme in French and English, which concludes with a RIBA Diploma Part 1 (Architectural Diploma, Architecture Confluence Degree A (RIBA part 1)) and 2 (Architecture Confluence Degree B (RIBA part 2)), consists of two cycles and an advanced research programme. The Cirque d'Hiver ("Winter Circus"), located at 110 rue Amelot (at the juncture of the rue des Filles Calvaires and rue Amelot, Paris 11ème), has been a prominent venue for circuses, exhibitions of dressage, musical concerts, and other events, including exhibitions of Turkish wrestling and even fashion shows. The theatre was designed by the architect Jacques Ignace Hittorff and was opened by Emperor Napoleon III on 11 December 1852 as the Cirque Napoléon. The orchestral concerts of Jules Etienne Pasdeloup were inaugurated at the Cirque Napoléon on 27 October 1861 and continued for more than twenty years. The Marché des Enfants Rouges is the oldest covered market in Paris, France. It was established in 1628 as the "petit marché du Marais" and is located at 39 Rue de Bretagne in the Marais (3rd) arrondissement. The market has been listed as a historic monument since 1982. The name in English translates as "Market of the Red Children", and refers to the nearby "Hospice des Enfants-Rouges" where orphans were clothed in red (the color of charity). The market offers fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers and bread, as well as restaurants where shoppers can buy cooked meals.

The museum collection includes more than 5,000 works of art (paintings, sculptures, drawings, ceramics, prints, engravings and notebooks) and tens of thousands of archived pieces from Picasso’s personal repository, including the artist's photographic archive, personal papers, correspondence, and author manuscripts. A large portion of items were donated by Picasso’s family after his death, in accord with the wishes of the artist, who lived in France from 1905 to 1973.
