The Wesley Union African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church is an AME Zion Church of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. It was formally founded in 1829, starting with a log church building. As the congregation grew throughout the 19th century, the building was expanded until two brick church buildings were constructed in 1862 and 1898. For a period of time, the church operated a school for African American children.

William Donaldson House is a historic home located at Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. It was designed by Smith & Warner and built in 1887, and is a 3+1⁄2-story Queen Anne style dwelling funded by William Mayne Donaldson, president of the Donaldson Paper Company. A rear addition was constructed about 1910. It has a stone foundation, brick first story, and wood shingle second and third stories. It features irregular massing, a variety of surface textures, multiple intersecting roofs, bay windows, porch and balconies, and a turret with spindle. The house was converted to apartments in 1925.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

The Camp Curtin Fire Station is a historic fire station located at Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania and named for the Civil War camp of the same name. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1981, and was decommissioned the year prior because it was no longer large enough to accommodate standard fire trucks.

Sheffield Apartments is a historic apartment building located at Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1925, and is a three-story, rectangular brick building in the Mission Revival style. The facade is three bays wide, and it features three story bay windows on each side of the center entrance bay. It has 14 apartments.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

The Pennsylvania National Fire Museum is a museum devoted to fire fighter heritage in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, United States. The museum has an outstanding collection of artifacts from the hand-drawn equipment, extensive collection of vintage fire apparatus, artifacts, pictures and information about the history of fire fighting in Pennsylvania and throughout the United States.The museum is housed in the former 1899 Victorian firehouse Reily Hose Company No. 10, of the Harrisburg Bureau of Fire.

Capitol Heights is a community of nearly 200 townhouse and single-family duplexes in the Midtown neighborhood of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Most of the new homes are located east of Third between Kelker and Reily and along Fulton, 4th and 5th street. The neighborhood is known for its generic suburban-style architecture fitted to the existing street grid. The area was previously referred to informally as "Lottsville" due to its many abandoned and vacant lots, so the City and private developers worked together in the 2000s as it was a targeted area for demolition and urban renewal.

Simon Cameron School is a historic school building located at Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1896, and is a two-story, brick and frame building, with a hip roof covered in slate shingles. It sits on a brownstone foundation. It is 12 bays wide and 8 bays deep, with an 8 bay wide, 6 bay deep rear section added in 1900. It is named for Pennsylvania politician Simon Cameron (1799–1889).It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

Asylum Run is a 4.2-mile-long (6.8 km) tributary of Paxton Creek in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania in the United States. Asylum Run joins Paxton Creek at the north-easternmost border of Harrisburg at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex. It is a tributary with flashy flows, meaning the water levels can vary greatly with storm events, due to rapid runoff upstream from massive amounts of impervious surfaces in Colonial Park, Penbrook, and adjacent areas.

Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex & Expo Center, formerly known as State Farm Show Arena, is a large exhibition center and indoor arena in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. It is primarily used for concerts, agricultural exhibitions, the Pennsylvania Farm Show, and indoor football. The complex also hosts more than 200 other exhibits and trade shows every year. The Great American Outdoor Show (GAOS) is the world's largest outdoor recreation show and expo which is held annually in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The show, which was first held in 2014, was previously called the Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show (from 1956 to 2013). The venue of the event was the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex & Expo Center in Harrisburg. In 2015 the event saw a record attendance of over 250,000 people.The show draws outdoor and hunting enthusiasts from Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, New Jersey, Vermont and Maine as well as hundreds from the Midwest and international guests.The expo, which was previously called the Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show, occurred annually from 1955 until 2012. In 2013 there was no show, which was reported to be a $80 million loss to the local economy. In 2014 the show saw a re-branding when it returned and looking for a sponsor saw a multimillion-dollar deal with the National Rifle Association.
