Vile Parle (IPA: [ʋile paːɾle], also known as Parle, pronounced "Parle" or "Parla"), is a neighbourhood and also the name of the railway station in the Western suburb of Mumbai. Vile Parle has a significantly strong base of Marathi and Gujarati population. It serves as the location of the first Parle factory which ceased operations in year 2016. It also houses Terminal 2 (T2) of Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.

The Dr. R. N. Cooper Municipal General Hospital is a public hospital located in Juhu, Mumbai, India. It is owned and operated by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation.This hospital was upgraded into medical college in 2015. It was started in 1969 as a maternity home before it was converted into a full-fledged general hospital in 1970.The hospital underwent massive reconstruction after the original building was declared unfit for use in 1999. The new upgrade, at a cost of ₹321 crore, includes more beds, as well as systems for rainwater harvesting and sewage treatment. The new hospital design includes an infection control design to prevent doctors from contracting tuberculosis while on duty.

Dwarkadas Jivanlal Sanghvi College of Engineering, also known as D. J. Sanghvi, is an engineering college in Vile Parle, Mumbai. The college was established by Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal in 1994.

Irla is also home to one of Mumbai's popular Catholic shrines, Our Lady of Velankanni Church.

Mumbai-Juhu Airport (मुंबई - जुहू विमानतळ) (ICAO: VAJJ) is located in Juhu, an upmarket residential suburb of Mumbai, India. It is used by small General Aviation aircraft and helicopters. It was founded in 1928 as India's first civil aviation airport, In 1932, JRD Tata landed at the Juhu aerodrome, inaugurating India's first scheduled commercial mail service. Juhu served as the city's primary airport during and up to World War II. In 1948, commercial operations were moved to the much larger RAF Santacruz (now Chatrapati Shivaji International Airport; CSIA) which was built 2 km east of Juhu aerodrome during the war. Today, the aerodrome handles all helicopter operations out of Mumbai. It also hosts the Bombay Flying Club and several executive and light aircraft and gliders. In 2010, the Airports Authority of India (AAI), which runs the airport, proposed to extend the runway 08/26 into the sea to allow larger aircraft to land, however permission for this was denied by the Ministry of Environment and Forests. With the New Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) rules of 2011 permitting roads on stilts, the Airports Authority of India announced in January 2012 that it would once again pursue its plan of extending the runway at Juhu Aerodrome into the sea.

Versova (IAST: Varsovā, pronunciation: [ʋəɾsoːʋaː]) is an upmarket neighbourhood in the north-western Mumbai. It is known for its beach and the Versova Fort. The beach of Versova recently undertook a massive clean-up effort, labelled as the largest ever beach clean-up.

Japan Air Lines Flight 472 was a flight from London to Tokyo via Frankfurt, Rome, Beirut, Tehran, Bombay, Bangkok and Hong Kong. On September 24, 1972, the flight landed at Juhu Aerodrome near Bombay, India instead of the city's much larger Santacruz Airport (now Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport) and overran the runway, resulting in the aircraft being written off after being damaged beyond economic repair.

Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology (RGIT) is a private institute affiliated to the University of Mumbai. Four Bungalows is a neighbourhood in Mumbai. It is located about three kilometres from Andheri station and is in the vicinity of Lokhandwala Complex and Seven Bungalows. It is popular as one of the most systematic and a well organized hub for shopping. The five main landmarks here are, Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, the Fish Market, Manish Market, the Good Shepherd Church and St. Louis Convent school, which is located within the second lane from the Four Bungalows signal/junction. It has a very famous and old Dairy and Restaurant known as Sharma Fastfood And Restaurant. It was established in around 1980. It consists one of the few HSBC branches in Mumbai. Other places in the vicinity include Convent Avenue, Ratan Nagar society and Manish Nagar. Also has a Gurudwara (Sikh temple) on the main road. Is accessible through BEST bus routes 266,249 and 251 from Andheri Station or you can use a Metro from the Andheri Station. Four Bungalows is named after the 'four bungalows' that once existed here during the British occupation. Two of them still exist today, one just opposite Good Shepherd Church. It is named Gulab Cottage. The other is in better condition and located in the lane just behind the Good Shepherd Church. This place also consists of a large number of residential buildings, built around 25 to 40 years past, that is the time, this place came under proper development. This place is easily accessible to Lokhandwala, Versova, Yari Road, Andheri Station and Juhu-Vile Parle. The depot for the Versova-Andheri Ghatkopar line of the Mumbai Metro is located here.
