The Majura Training Area (MTA) is a facility belonging to the Australian Department of Defence located to the east of Mount Majura in the Majura district in the Australian Capital Territory, Australia. The MTA is used primarily by the Australian Army for the conduct of field exercises and weapon qualification shoots. The MTA is located near to the Royal Military College, Duntroon and the Australian Defence Force Academy and is frequently used by these training establishments. Accommodation and support on the range is through 'Camp Blake', which consists of headquarters buildings, Q-Store, Mess, Staff accommodation and amenities and trainee accommodation and amenities. The MTA contains a number of shooting ranges including the 600m Marksmanship Training Range (MTR), 25m Pistol range, Grenade range and multiple other ranges. Artillery ranges are also situated on the site and are designated as danger areas due to the risk of unexploded ordnance.

The Queanbeyan River, a perennial stream that is part of the Molonglo catchment within the Murray–Darling basin, is located in the Monaro and Capital Country regions of New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory, in Australia. The river is 104 kilometres (65 mi) in length with a catchment area of 96,000 hectares (240,000 acres). The Queanbeyan River and the Cotter River meet the potable water supply needs of the Canberra and Queanbeyan region and whose water quality is specifically protected under Federal legislation. It is believed that the local Aboriginal Ngarigo people used a word that sounded like queanbeyan to describe the river, said to mean "clearwater".

Oaks Estate is a suburb in the district of Jerrabomberra, Canberra, Australian Capital Territory in Australia. Is situated on the northern side of the Australian Capital Territory and New South Wales border abutting the town of Queanbeyan in south-eastern New South Wales, Australia. The estate covers an area of approximately 40 hectares and is bound by the Molonglo River to the north, the Queanbeyan River to the east, 'The Oaks' to the west, and the Queanbeyan-Cooma railway to the south. Oaks Estate is located 12 kilometres from the centre of Canberra. The village is also noteworthy as the nucleus of Queanbeyan's industrial development during the second half of the 19th century. Oaks Estate takes its name from 'The Oaks', which was part of Duntroon, Robert Campbell's farming estate. This makes Oaks Estate one of only a few place names in the ACT with significant connections to early colonial times.

The Queanbeyan railway bridges over Queanbeyan and Molonglo Rivers are two heritage-listed railway bridges that carry the Bombala railway line in the Queanbeyan-Palerang Region local government area of New South Wales, Australia. Both bridges were built between 1926 and 1927. The westernmost bridge crosses the Queanbeyan River from Queanbeyan to Queanbeyan East at 35.3424°S 149.2317°E / -35.3424; 149.2317 (Queanbeyan River railway bridge), while the easternmost bridge (approximately 8 kilometres (5 mi) to the east) crosses the Molonglo River at Burbong (now Carwoola) at 35.3371°S 149.3191°E / -35.3371; 149.3191 (Molongo River railway bridge). The two railway bridges are owned by Transport Asset Holding Entity, an agency of the Government of New South Wales. Together, the two bridges were added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

Queanbeyan railway station is a heritage-listed railway station located on the Bombala line in New South Wales, Australia. It serves the town of Queanbeyan.

Queanbeyan District Hospital is an acute care public hospital servicing the City of Queanbeyan in New South Wales, Australia. The hospital is located on the corner of Erin and Collett streets and is operated by the Southern New South Wales Local Health District. The facility incorporates general medical, surgical and specialist services. A major $51 million redevelopment of the facility was completed in 2009, including construction of a modern 10,400 m2 (112,000 sq ft) main hospital building.

Beard is a suburb of Canberra in the District of Jerrabomberra, Australian Capital Territory, named after ex-convict Timothy Beard, the first recorded European settler in the vicinity of modern-day Queanbeyan.

Seiffert Oval is an enclosed rectangular playing field in Queanbeyan, New South Wales. It has a grass playing surface and an official capacity of 15,000, 1,500 of which is seated capacity in the grandstand. The oval boasts lighting, toilets, kiosk, a food outlet, home and away change rooms and car parking facilities. The oval has been used for rugby league, soccer, and rugby union, and is currently the home ground for the Queanbeyan Blues. The oval is owned and managed by the Queanbeyan–Palerang Regional Council. The ground record crowd was set on 18 June 1989 when 18,272 fans turned out in Round 12 of the 1989 NSWRL season to see the Canberra Raiders defeat the Brisbane Broncos 27–6.

Rusten House, now known as Rusten House Art Centre, is a heritage-listed former hospital and nurses' dormitory at Antill Street, Queanbeyan, Queanbeyan-Palerang Region, New South Wales, Australia. It was designed by W. H. Downey and built from 1859 to 1862 by Daniel Jordan and Gibson. It is the Old Queanbeyan Hospital and the Nurses Dormitory. It now hosts local and touring exhibitions as well as community and private events. It is owned by the Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

Queanbeyan City Football Club is an Australian amateur association football club based in the NSW city of Queanbeyan, Australia. The club was founded in 1966 and currently competes in ACT competitions including the ACT Capital League.

Monaro Panthers FC (formerly known as Inter Monaro SC) is an Australian soccer club based in the city of Queanbeyan, New South Wales. The club was founded in 1967, and currently competes in the National Premier Leagues Capital Football in the Australian Capital Territory. Monaro Panthers is a club that represents and caters for the Monaro regional area as a whole including Queanbeyan, Jerrabomberra, Canberra, Googong, Bungendore, Sutton, Michelago and the South Coast of NSW. The club fields teams in both men's and women's from the elite NPL level and recreational seniors to juniors and mini roos.
