Salimullah Orphanage also known as Salimullah Muslim Orphanage is a historic orphanage in Bangladesh founded by and named after Sir Khwaja Salimullah.

Eden Mohila College (known as Eden College), is a women's college in Azimpur, Dhaka, Bangladesh. It was established in 1873 in the Farashganj area of Dhaka. In 1878 the school was named after Ashley Eden, Lieutenant Governor of Bengal. The college moved to its present premises in 1963. It is affiliated with the University of Dhaka as of 16 February 2017.

Dhakeshwari National Temple (Bengali: ঢাকেশ্বরী জাতীয় মন্দির, romanized: Ðhakeshshori Jatio Mondir) is a Hindu temple in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is state-owned, giving it the distinction of being Bangladesh's 'National Temple'. The name "Dhakeshwari" (ঢাকেশ্বরী Ðhakeshshori) means "Goddess of Dhaka". Since the destruction of Ramna Kali Mandir in 1971 by the Pakistan Army during the Bangladesh Liberation War, the Dhakeshwari Temple has assumed status as the most important Hindu place of worship in Bangladesh. It is also the largest Hindu temple in Bangladesh. This temple is part of the famous Shakti Peethas in Indian Subcontinent. Here the gem of Sati's crown had fallen.

The historical shrine of Dayera Sharif Khanqah, commonly known as Bara Dayera Sharif, is situated in the Azimpur locality of Dhaka city. The Persian word Dayera means "circle" or "work area". As a rule, the heirs of the Dayera Sharif never go outside the area, except for pilgrimage. The Azimpur Dayera Sharif was established by Shah Sufi Sayed Muhammad Dayem who came at Dhaka in 1766-68 AD. It is currently under the supervision of his saventh generation(tenth Gaddi-Nashin). Shah Sufi Syed Ahmadullah Jobayer has been the overall supervisor of Dayera Sharif since 1998. The successor of the Sufi dynasty is known as Gaddi Nashin, who sits on the Gaddi to serve people. The historical Azimpur Dayera Sharif represents the 700 years old Sufi dynasty in Bengal. The representatives of the dynasty are one of the very few Persian-speaking people in Bangladesh. The place is also symbolic to the propagation of Islam not only in the province of Bengal but also across the greater Indian Subcontinent. Endowment mark, stamp, and sign of Emperor Shah Jahan and the Quran gifted by Emperor Shah Jahan resembles a deep connection to the Sufi dynasty with the Delhi Sultanate.

The Khan Mohammad Mirza Mosque is a historical mosque near Lalbagh Fort in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Agrani School and College was established at Azimpur, Dhaka, Bangladesh, in 1957 as a kindergarten. From the inception, the medium of instruction was English, although vernacular was also taught in all classes. It was upgraded into a secondary school for girls in 1967. It introduced higher secondary courses in 1994, when it got a new status of school cum college. It offers courses in humanities, commerce and science. There are approximately 4,500 students.

Azimpur (Bengali: আজিমপুর) is an old region in the old part of Dhaka, capital of Bangladesh. The region is named after Shahzada Azam, son of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. Other accounts attribute the name to Azim-us-Shaan, the Nayeb-e-Nazim of Dhaka during the early 18th century. This area started to decay in the colonial era. In 1850 Azimpur shown as a no man's land in the map of surveyor general. In 1950 this area redesigned as the government employee's residence.

Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, commonly known by the acronym BUET, is a public technological research university in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Founded in 1876 as the Dacca Survey School, it is the oldest institution for the study of engineering, architecture and urban planning in Bangladesh.A large number of BUET alumni are active in notable engineering and non-engineering roles in Bangladesh and abroad.

On October 6, 2019, Abrar Fahad, a second-year student in the Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) department at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), was murdered inside BUET's Sher-e-Bangla Hall by activists of Chhatra League, student wing of then ruling party Awami League. The incident sparked national outrage and led to protests against campus violence. Out of 25 convicts, 20 were given death sentence and 5 others were give life sentence in relation to the murder of Abrar Fahad following a highly publicized trial. An autopsy report later confirmed that Fahad died as a result of severe blunt force trauma.

Salimullah Muslim Hall is a residential hall at Dhaka University, named after Nawab Sir Khwaja Salimullah Bahadur. It was inaugurated on 11 August 1931. Among the residential halls of Dhaka University, Salimullah Muslim Hall holds a special status due to its heritage.

Dhaka-7 is a constituency represented in the Jatiya Sangsad (National Parliament) of Bangladesh since 2014 by Haji Mohammad Salim, of the Awami League since 2018.
