Springdale School

Springdale is an unincorporated community in Multnomah County in the U.S. state of Oregon. Located between Troutdale and Corbett on the Historic Columbia River Highway, it was named for the many springs in the area. In the 1890s, the east end of the community was called Springdale, but the west end was called Gage. Gage had a post office from 1900 to 1903. The Springdale School, also known as the Springdale Community Center, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and currently houses the CAPS program of the Corbett School District.

Dabney State Recreation Area is a park on the Sandy River in the U.S. state of Oregon. Located in Multnomah County outside the city of Troutdale, the park offers swimming, boating, disc golf, and other activities.

The Stark Street Bridge is a 277-foot (84 m) steel truss bridge spanning the Sandy River two miles east of Troutdale, Oregon. The bridge connects Southeast Stark Street with the Historic Columbia River Highway and is one of only two western entrances to the highway. Karl Billner, who was awarded the Frank P. Brown Medal by the Franklin Institute in 1947, designed the bridge, supervised by State Bridge Engineer Charles H. Purcell. Samuel C. Lancaster provided overall supervision during construction.

Corbett School is a K-12 public school in Corbett, Oregon, United States. In 2010, Corbett School was ranked 5th among public schools in the United States by Newsweek, as measured by the proportion of students who passed college prep courses. In 2011, it was ranked 15th by The Washington Post.

Shirley's Tippy Canoe was a restaurant in Troutdale, Oregon. A fire forced the restaurant to close permanently in 2020, and the property was subsequently purchased by the owners of Sugarpine Drive-In.

Corbett is an unincorporated community on the Columbia River in eastern Multnomah County, Oregon, United States. It is located on the Historic Columbia River Highway (a.k.a. Crown Point Highway) between the Sandy River and Crown Point. Corbett was named for prominent pioneer Senator Henry W. Corbett. Senator Corbett purchased a farm in the area in 1885. After several name changes, the post office in the area was named "Corbett" in 1895. Corbett School District runs the Corbett School and the Corbett Charter School.

Sam Barlow High School is a public high school in Gresham, Oregon, United States, in the Gresham-Barlow School District. It was named after the Oregon pioneer Sam Barlow. Teacher Stephen Corkett received the University of Oregon's high school teacher of the year award in 2009.

Reed Island State Park is a public recreation area on the Columbia River three miles (4.8 km) east of Washougal in Clark County, Washington. The state park comprises 427-acre (173 ha) Reed island and is only accessible by boat. The island, which is part of the Columbia River Water Trail, has primitive camping and picnicking areas.

Troutdale is a city in Multnomah County, Oregon, United States, immediately north of Gresham and east of Wood Village. As of the 2020 census, the city population was 16,300. The city serves as the western gateway to the Historic Columbia River Highway, the Mount Hood Scenic Byway, and the Columbia River Gorge. It is approximately 12 miles (19 km) east of Portland.

Oxbow Regional Park is a 1,000-acre (4.0 km2) natural area park located ten miles (16 km) southeast of Troutdale along the Sandy River in the U.S. state of Oregon. Owned and operated by Metro regional government, it hosts a yearly festival celebrating salmon.

Open Door Christian Academy is a private, co-educational Christian school in Troutdale, Oregon, United States. It was founded in 1978 as a ministry of Open Door Baptist Church and serves students in grades K-12.
