Krishnaswami Temple, Muthialpet

Broadway (officially known as Prakasam Salai, after the freedom fighter T. Prakasam) is one of the historical thoroughfares of the commercial centre of George Town in Chennai, India. The road runs north–south connecting China Bazaar Road in the south with Ibrahim Sahib Street (Old Jail Road) in the north. The road divides George Town into Muthialpet and Peddanaickenpet.

The Dharma Kidangu Mosque is a mosque located in Angappa Naicken Street in the Georgetown neighbourhood of Chennai, in the state of Tamil Nadu, India. It is considered to be the oldest mosque in Muthialpet. The original mosque built of stone was demolished in 2008 and a new mosque built.

M. Singaravelar Maligai (Tamil: ம. சிங்காரவேலர் மாளிகை) is an official building comprising Government offices and civil and sessions courts, in Chennai district of Tamil Nadu state in the peninsular India. The building was named after M. Singaravelar alias Malayapuram Singaravelu, who was a social reformer. M. Singaravelar Maligai is located at an altitude of about 30 m above the mean sea level with the geographical coordinates of 13.095900°N 80.292400°E / 13.095900; 80.292400.The building consists of eight floors and an underground godown in the front side and a ground floor building at the backside of the campus. The fourth floor is occupied by the Chennai district Collectorate and in general, the building itself is called as Collectorate building. National Informatics Center has a branch here and in the District Administrative office. Aadhaar Permanent Enrollment Center and the office for Chief Minister's Medical Insurance Scheme are situated at the backside ground floor building.The first floor has Civil and Additional Sessions Courts. The second floor is occupied by the Office of the welfare of the District Adi Dravidiar, the Office of the welfare of District Backward Class, TADCO and civil court. Pay and Accounts Office (North) occupies the third floor. Apart from the Chennai District Collector Office in the fourth floor, the Office of the District Revenue Officer and a small meeting hall are available in that floor. The fifth floor has the Office of the District Revenue Officer, Stamp Office, the Office of the District Public Relations Officer, the Office of the P. A. to District Collector and the Office of the District Informatics Center. The sixth floor is occupied by Office of the District Social Security Scheme and the Office of the issuance of the Tribal Permanent Caste Certificate. The seventh floor contains Sub-treasury, Fort, Tondiarpet and the eighth floor comprises the Office of the District Deputy Superintendent for Stamps and an assembly hall. Every Monday, public grievances meetings are held and the Chennai district Collector meets the concerned public regularly. Four wheeler and two wheeler parking lots are available separately.

The Kālikāmbal Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Shri Kāligāmbāl (Kāmākshi) and Lord Kamadeswarar, located in Parry's corner (Old: George Town) locality of the city of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. The temple is located in Thambu Chetty Street, a prominent financial street at Georgetown, running parallel to Rajaji Salai.

The Mamoor Mosque, also known as the Masjid-e-Mamoor and sometimes referred to as the Big Mosque, is a mosque located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. The mosque is situated on Angappan Street in George Town, also called Muthialpet, and is the oldest surviving mosque in George Town. The mosque was built in the 18th century on the same design as Wallajah Mosque, and was rebuilt in granite by the Nawab of Carnatic, Muhammad Ali Khan Wallajah, in the late 19th century. Since then, the mosque has been frequently renovated.

Armenian Street, locally known as Aranmanaikaran Street, is one of the historical streets of the commercial centre of George Town in Chennai, India. The road runs north–south and connects Mannady Street in the north with the China Bazaar Road (NSC Bose Road) in the south. The street is dotted with several century-old historical structures. The street is named for the Armenians, who were some of the early settlers in the city of Madras. Several moved to the long street of the commercial neighbourhood of George Town in the 1750s, eventually making the street bear their name. The locals, however, corrupted the name to Aranmanaikaran Street, which means the 'street of the palace people'.

Chennai General Post Office (GPO) is located on Rajaji Salai at Parry's Corner, Chennai. It functions in a building built in 1884. It is located opposite to the Chennai Beach suburban railway station. Chennai GPO covers an area of about 23.33 km2 (9.01 sq mi) and serves a population of around 220,000. It has no sub- or branch offices.

Royapuram is a locality in the northern part of the city of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It is best known for its beach, and for Royapuram Railway Station. The station is the first railway station of south India, opening in 1856, and is today the oldest surviving railway station of the Indian subcontinent

Chennai Beach (formerly known as Madras Beach) (station code: MSB) is a railway terminus of the Southern Railway network in Parry's Corner, Chennai, India. Built on reclaimed land, the station serves the suburban services of the Chennai Suburban Railway and Mass Rapid Transit System (Chennai) and a few passenger trains. It serves as the northern terminus for the Chennai MRTS line. The station is named after High Court Beach, which was later built up as part of Chennai Port, and not after the Marina Beach, which is located a few kilometres away and is served by Chepauk, Triplicane and Lighthouse stations of the MRTS line. The station consists of 1500 square metres of open parking area.The station is located adjacent to the High Court and Broadway. There is also Burma Bazaar, which sells foreign merchandise in small shops outside of the station. Most of the government offices and headquarters of some banks, and Parry Group's offices are also located near the station. In addition to being a focal terminus for much of Chennai's rail network, the station is also a major bus transportation hub for passengers destined to north and northwest Chennai. Most of these local buses are situated near the station. It acts as the access point for Chennai port for the port employees.

George Town is a neighbourhood in Chennai (formerly Madras), Tamil Nadu, India. It is near the Fort Saint George, Chennai. It is also known as Muthialpet and Parry's corner. It is an historical area of Chennai city from where its expansion began in the 1640s. It extends from the Bay of Bengal in the east to Park town on the west. The Fort St. George is on the south, to Royapuram in the north. The Fort St. George houses the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly and the Secretariat. The High court of Tamil Nadu at Chennai, Dr. Ambedkar Law College, Stanley Medical College and Hospital are located here.
