Vallbona is a neighbourhood in the Nou Barris district of Barcelona, Catalonia (Spain), in the city's northern outskirts. It covers an area of 0.6 square kilometres (0.23 sq mi), in a hilly region just south of Montcada, between on one side the railway lines running alongside the Besòs river, and on the other side the motorways running along the valley which separate the village from the rest of Barcelona. It is connected to Torre Baró and the rest of the Nou Barris district by a bridge spanning the motorways.Vallbona was a small village until the middle of the twentieth century when most of it was demolished, the Rec Comtal canal mostly covered over, and high-density housing built. The motorways were built starting in the 1960s.Its population in 2013 was 1,330, giving a population density of 2,224 per km2.

The Besòs (Catalan pronunciation: [bəˈzɔs]; Spanish: Besós) is a river flowing through Catalonia, Spain, formed by the confluence of the Mogent and Congost rivers. It ends in the Mediterranean. Its full watershed includes the following cities: Aiguafreda, La Garriga, Sant Fost de Campsantelles, Canovelles, Granollers, Montmeló, Mollet del Vallès, Montcada i Reixac, Santa Coloma de Gramenet, Barcelona and Sant Adrià de Besòs. Due to its Mediterranean climate, the river can have extreme discrepancies in flow depending on the weather.

Torre Baró | Vallbona is a station on line 11 of the Barcelona Metro, serving the neighbourhoods Torre Baró and Vallbona of the Nou Barris district of Barcelona. While most of this short line is underground and single-track, Torre Baró-Vallbona is open and, as the middle station on the line, has a double track to permit trains to pass one another. Inaugurated in 2003 with the rest of the line, the station is located in hilly terrain, with the result that it has two accesses, one above and one below the station. The former is situated on Carrer Sant Feliu de Codines; the latter, on Avinguda de Vallbona, gives access to the Renfe main line station Torre Baró-Ciutat Meridiana-Vallbona, serving Rodalies Barcelona commuter lines R3, R4, and R7 and long-distance line Ca4.

The station is located at the intersection of Avinguda Francesc Macià and Carrer Balmes. It's served by L9, the first part of line 9 to be opened, between Can Zam and Can Peixauet, both in Santa Coloma. Its inauguration took place on 13 December 2009.
