Navalur

Siruseri is a southern suburb of Chennai, India. It is a village under Thiruporur panchayat union in Chengalpattu district, Tamil Nadu, and is 35 km from Chennai, along the Old Mahabalipuram Road. It is located between Navalur and Kelambakkam.

SIPCOT IT Park Information Technology located in Siruseri in the city of Chennai, along the IT Corridor, Chengalpattu District, India. It is developed in 782.51 acres (4 km2) of land by SIPCOT, the State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu, a fully government-owned institution. Founded in June 1971, it is the largest IT park in Asia.

Chennai Mathematical Institute (CMI) is a higher education and research institute in Chennai, India. It was founded in 1989 by the SPIC Science Foundation, and offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in physics, mathematics and computer science. CMI is noted for its research in algebraic geometry, in particular in the area of moduli of bundles. CMI was at first located in T. Nagar in the heart of Chennai in an office complex. It moved to a new 5-acre (20,000 m2) campus in Siruseri in October 2005.In December 2006, CMI was recognized as a university under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act 1956, making it a deemed university. Until then, the teaching program was offered in association with Bhoj Open University, as it offered more flexibility.

The Marina Mall Chennai (Opened: 15 February 2019) is a shopping centre located in OMR Egattur in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It is the largest shopping mall located in the OMR area. It opened its doors to the public on February 15, 2019; it has a 550,000 sq ft leasable space which includes more than 120 shops and services and includes parking with 1,200 parking lots for both cars and bikes.

Semmencherry is a neighbourhood in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It is situated in Chennai district, located south of the city about 30 km from the city centre, along the Old Mahabalipuram Road a.k.a. Rajiv Gandhi Salai. Semmencherry is located between Sholinganallur and Navalur. The suburb has experienced rapid development with the advent of IT companies along the Old Mahabalipuram Road. Sri Srinivasa temple, a temple from the Pallava era and a notified heritage structure by the Archaeological Survey of India, is located in this suburb. One of the oldest temples along the 45 km stretch between Madhya Kailash and Mamallapuram, the temple was renovated in February 2009, for the first time since 1957.The Elite Grand, a 5-star hotel, is located here.

The Lok Sabha constituency Chennai South is one of three constituencies in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Its Tamil Nadu Parliamentary Constituency number is 3 of 39. It was formerly known as Madras South. It was created in 1957 through bifurcation of Madras Lok Sabha constituency. It is one of the most populous parliamentary constituencies in South India. C. N. Annadurai, the first non-Congress chief minister of Tamil Nadu resigned his seat in 1967 after he was nominated for chief ministership. It was later contested and won by Murasoli Maran.

Kamaraj College of Engineering and Technology (KCET) is a college in Madurai District established in the year 1998. KCET has been granted Autonomous status by the University Grants Commission for 10 years from 2019 to 2029. It is a technical institution offering undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs engineering and technology.
