The Marina Mall Chennai (Opened: 15 February 2019) is a shopping centre located in OMR Egattur in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It is the largest shopping mall located in the OMR area. Chennai Mathematical Institute (CMI) is a higher education and research institute in Chennai, India. It was founded in 1989 by the SPIC Science Foundation, and offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in physics, mathematics and computer science. CMI is noted for its research in algebraic geometry, in particular in the area of moduli of bundles. CMI was at first located in T. Nagar in the heart of Chennai in an office complex. It moved to a new 5-acre (20,000 m2) campus in Siruseri in October 2005.In December 2006, CMI was recognized as a university under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act 1956, making it a deemed university. Kamaraj College of Engineering and Technology (KCET) is a college in Madurai District established in the year 1998. KCET has been granted Autonomous status by the University Grants Commission for 10 years from 2019 to 2029. It is a technical institution offering undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs engineering and technology. SIPCOT IT Park Information Technology located in Siruseri in the city of Chennai, along the IT Corridor, Chengalpattu District, India. It is developed in 782.51 acres (4 km2) of land by SIPCOT, the State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu, a fully government-owned institution. Founded in June 1971, it is the largest IT park in Asia.

Mayajaal (literally, "phantasmagoria") is an entertainment centre in Kanathur, Chennai, India. It is located on the East Coast Road and spread over an area of 30 acres. It consists of a shopping mall, a multiplex, a sports complex and a resort. Mayajaal has a sixteen screen multiplex and it is the second largest multiplex in Asia. The sports complex was started in 2003, which also hosted the Indian Cricket League matches. The Resort was opened in 2005 with 40 rooms. The 30,000 sq.ft shopping mall was opened in 2006.

Navalur is a south suburb of Chennai, India and located just 5 km from Sholinganalur junction along Old Mahabalipuram Road. Navalur is located between Sholinganallur and Kelambakkam and comes under Thiruporur taluk of Chengalpattu district. This area was once a village (around 2010) but with the advent of IT Companies and the rapid development of the Old Mahabalipuram Road (New Mount road of Chennai), it has become a bustling and most demanded location in Chennai. Proximity to employment opportunities, good asset appreciation, outstanding road Infrastructure, proximity to beaches at ECR and other entertainment venues continues to attract more residents to this suburb. The government is constructing Metro Train-Phase 2 along this route from Madhavaram to Siruseri IT park. Deadline to be operational for this Corridor-3 by 2024. Once Metro train is operational, it will be beneficial for overall development in OMR road.
