Zara is an interchange station between Lines 3 and 5 of the Milan Metro. The station opened in 1995. It was the final stop on Line 3 until 2003, when Maciachini was opened. It was the final stop on Line 5 and its only link to the rest of the network from the line's opening on 10 February 2013 until its extension to Porta Garibaldi on 1 March 2014. The station is located on Viale Zara, in the municipality of Milan.

Moleskine (Italian pronunciation: [moleˈskiːne]) is an Italian manufacturer, papermaker and product designer founded in 1997 by Francesco Franceschi, based in Milan, Italy. It produces and designs luxury notebooks, as well as planners, sketchbooks, leather backpacks, holdalls, journals, wallets, various accessories, and stationery. Moleskine's notebooks are stylised to follow the aesthetics of a 'traditional' black notebook with rounded corners and ivory-coloured paper. They are bound in cardboard with a sewn spine that allows the notebook to lie flat. An elastic band is used to seal, and a ribbon bookmark is included along with an expandable pocket inside the rear cover, which is packed in a paper banderole. Bruce Chatwin's name is used to sell Moleskine notebooks. Chatwin wrote in The Songlines of little black oilskin-covered notebooks that he bought in Paris and called "moleskines". The name Moleskine does not have an official pronunciation.

Isola is a station on Line 5 of the Milan Metro. It takes its name from the Isola (island) district of Milan in which it is located, its name derived from the neighbourhood's position cut off from the city centre by the main railway.

Maciachini is an underground station on Line 3 of the Milan Metro which opened on December 8, 2003, thirteen years after the opening of the original trunk of the line. This station was the northern terminus of the line until March 26, 2011, with the extension of the line to Comasina. The station is located at Piazzale Carlo Maciachini on the Milan Ring Road, in the municipality of Milan.

Bosco Verticale (Vertical Forest) is a pair of residential towers in the Porta Nuova district of Milan, Italy, between Via Gaetano de Castillia and Via Federico Confalonieri near Milano Porta Garibaldi railway station. They have a height of 111 metres (364 ft) and 76 metres (249 ft) and contain more than 900 trees (approximately 550 and 350 in the first and second towers, respectively) on 8,900 square metres (96,000 sq ft) of terraces. Within the complex is an 11-storey office building; its facade does not include plants.The towers were designed by Boeri Studio (Stefano Boeri, Gianandrea Barreca and Giovanni La Varra). It also involved input from horticulturalists and botanists.The building was inaugurated in October 2014.

The Garibaldi Towers are two high-rise buildings in Milan. They are next to Porta Garibaldi railway station. They were built between 1984 and 1992 by the Italian state railways Ferrovie dello Stato to house its offices. The buildings are 100 meters tall with 25 floors.

Milano Porta Garibaldi (IATA: IPR) is a major railway station in the Italian city of Milan, located just to the north of the neighbourhood known as Porta Garibaldi. Porta Garibaldi is the city's main station for commuter traffic with 25 million passengers annually, although it is second to Centrale station considering total passenger traffic. The station is located on Piazza Sigmund Freud.

The UniCredit Tower (Torre UniCredit) is a skyscraper in Milan, Italy. At 231 metres (758 ft), it is the tallest building in Italy. In 2009, the estimated labour cost was about €2.1 billion (US$3.15 billion), and in 2015 the infrastructure cost €2.7 billion (US$4.05 billion), a total of €4.8 billion (US$7.2 billion).The building was designed by architect César Pelli and reached its full height on 15 October 2011 when the spire was attached. The building is the headquarters of UniCredit, Italy's largest bank by assets, and is part of a larger development of new residential and business structures in Milan's Porta Nuova district, near Porta Garibaldi railway station. The tower ranked eighth in the Emporis 2012, that rewards skyscrapers for excellence in their aesthetic and functional design.The Allianz Tower, at 209 metres (686 ft), is still the tallest building in Italy if ranked by highest usable floor.

Garibaldi FS is a station on Lines 2 and 5 of the Milan Metro, and the Milan Passante railway. The Line 2 station was opened on 21 July 1971 as part of the extension from Centrale. It served as the western terminus until 3 March 1978, when the first trains could travel the new route to Cadorna. The Passante station was opened in 1997, and the Line 5 station in 2005. The station is located on Viale Don Luigi Sturzo, near the Piazza Sigmund Freud, within the territory of the municipality of Milan. This is an underground station, located under Milano Porta Garibaldi railway station. Garibaldi is the only Metro station in Milan, along with surface station Cascina Gobba, to have four tracks: two tracks are used for normal access to the trains, while the other two, located outside the platforms, are not used, one of them being partially removed. This peculiarity is due to the never-built project of expeditious lines of Brianza, a group of light rail lines that were supposed to replace the tram trunk of Brianza, reaching two of the four tracks at the station of Garibaldi, allowing a good exchange.

Palazzo Lombardia ("Lombardy Palace") is a complex of buildings in Milan, Italy, including a 43-storey, 161 m (528 ft) tall skyscraper. It is the main seat of the Lombardy regional government, located in the Centro Direzionale di Milano (CBD, Central Business District), north-west of the city centre. It was first inaugurated on 22 January 2010, and officially completed on 21 March 2010. After its completion, the Regione Lombardia skyscraper was briefly the tallest skyscraper both in Milan and in Italy, being taller than both the Telecom Italia Tower in Naples and the Pirelli Tower in Milan. It lost its supremacy to the Unicredit Tower (also located in Milan) in 2011. Palazzo Lombardia was designed by the architectural firm Pei Cobb Freed & Partners, winner of an international design competition in 2004, with Henry N. Cobb as design partner. The building won the 2012 International Architecture Award for the best new global design.
