Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church is a former Roman Catholic parish in Tacoma, Washington, within the Archdiocese of Seattle. The church is a landmark of the city seen by travelers along Interstate 5. The parish was established in 1891 by Bishop Egidius Junger when he invited Benedictine monks from St. John's Abbey in Minnesota to serve Tacoma's German-speaking population. The parish remained under the pastorship of the Benedictine monks until 1998.The current church building was built in 1920 after the original wooden church was deemed unsafe. In 2018, the church building sustained water damage and sheetrock from the ceiling fell onto the choir loft and back pews. The building was deemed unsafe and masses were moved into the parish school auditorium. As the parish could not afford the $18 million necessary to repair the building, Archbishop J. Peter Sartain decreed in 2019 that the century-old church building be razed. The parish school moved to Fife, Washington, in 2020, as part of the parish's planned merge with St. Martin of Tours Parish. As the future of the parish was deemed unviable, Archbishop Paul D. Etienne ordered all services and ministries of the parish to cease at the end of August 2020.On July 1, 2021, Holy Rosary Parish was amalgamated and merged into neighboring St. Ann Parish.

South 25th Street station is a light rail station on the Link's T Line in Tacoma, Washington, United States. The station officially opened for service on August 22, 2003, is located at the edge of downtown, and it serves several area parking garages, allowing commuters to ride for free to nearby destinations.The station consists of a single side platform on the south side of the street, and facilitates transfers to buses on Pacific Avenue. It is located near the Brewery District. Artwork at this station consists mainly of large fishing lures on the roof of the station platform that move in the wind. This is to reflect the fishing lure manufacture that used to take place in the area.

Don Pugnetti Park is a 0.5-acre (0.20 ha) public park in Tacoma, Washington, in the United States. Located at the intersection of Pacific Avenue and South 21st Street in downtown Tacoma, the park is named after Donald A. Pugnetti and is owned by the Washington State Department of Transportation. It has landscaping and seating, and is maintained by the City of Tacoma.The park has been the site of an Occupy Wall Street encampment (2011 to 2012) and other demonstrations. In 2020, protesters gathered there to protest the murder of George Floyd.

Union Station/South 19th Street station is a light rail station on Link light rail's T Line in Tacoma, Washington, United States. The station officially opened for service on August 22, 2003, and serves the University of Washington, Tacoma, a variety of museums, government buildings, and apartment complexes.The station is named after the nearby and much larger Tacoma Union Station, which now serves as a courthouse. It is located near the University of Washington, Tacoma campus, Museum of Glass, Washington State History Museum, and Tacoma Art Museum. Union Station also serves as the main entryway to the Tall Ships Festival on the nearby Thea Foss Waterway.Artwork at the station reflects the area's American Indian culture, and the manufacturing and shipbuilding that took place in the vicinity (including in many of the buildings used by UW Tacoma). The Washington State History Museum is a history museum located in downtown Tacoma, Washington, United States. It is operated by the Washington State Historical Society under the official approval of the Washington State Legislature. The museum opened on August 10, 1996, at a building adjacent to historic Union Station that cost $42 million to construct.The museum maintains three permanent exhibits. One is about the history of Washington state and its relation to the Pacific Northwest, featuring artifacts from women's suffrage, industrialization, Native American tribes and items such as Clovis points. The uppermost floor of the museum contains the History Lab, where visitors can explore and learn about history in a more hands-on fashion with multiple interactive exhibits. The top floor is also home to the state's largest permanent model train layout, which covers 1,700 sq ft (160 m2) and recreates scenes from Tacoma's Union Station (which is located next to the museum) and other regional railroads. The museum hosts an annual Model Train Festival in December.

The Bridge of Glass is a 500-foot (150 m) pedestrian partially-covered footbridge spanning Interstate 705 in Tacoma, Washington. It was opened in 2002 as a gift to the city. The Bridge of Glass connects the Museum of Glass on the Thea Foss Waterway to the downtown and attractions along Pacific Avenue such as Union Station, Washington State History Museum, and Tacoma Art Museum. Together, these attractions make up an area of Tacoma described as "Museum Row." The Bridge of Glass was designed by Texas architect Arthur Andersson and is decorated with artworks by Dale Chihuly. Chihuly has described the Bridge of Glass as "the gateway that welcomes people to Tacoma." It is accessible and free to the public 24 hours a day, lighting up during the nighttime.

The Union Passenger Station in Tacoma, Washington, United States, opened in 1911. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. It now serves as a courthouse of the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington. The distinctive architecture, dominated by a copper dome, is a landmark for the area.

The Engine House No. 4 in Tacoma, Washington, at 220-224 E. 26th St., was built in 1911. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.It is a two-story brick building with "classically inspired terra cotta details", and it has a salient four-story hose tower. It was designed by architect Frederic Shaw.It is no longer in service as a fire station. In 2008 it was used by the City of Tacoma's traffic signal division.

The Albers Brothers Mill is a historic mill and contemporary apartment building located in Tacoma, Washington, United States. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. The structure is owned by the Foss Waterway Development Authority. The period of significance is revised to read: 1905-1929 The Albers Brothers Mill Building, located at 1821 Dock Street, is the only remaining remnant of the working waterfront on the western shore of the Thea Foss Waterway. With the entrance of viable railroad lines into the Puget Sound basin, trade and commerce with Asia and the Pacific Rim ports shifted northward. Albers Brothers Milling Company’s move from Portland, reflects this change. The company started in Portland and became a primary company in the grain industry with its mills in Tacoma, Seattle and Bellingham on Puget Sound. The Albers Milling Company’s headquarters moved to Tacoma to support its Washington operations.
