Farleys House

Chiddingly ( CHID-ing-lye) is an English village and civil parish in the Wealden District of the administrative county of East Sussex, within historic Sussex, some five miles (8 km) northwest of Hailsham. The parish is rural in character: it includes the village of Chiddingly and a collection of hamlets: the largest of these being Muddles Green and Thunder's Hill; others being Gun Hill, Whitesmith, Holmes Hill, Golden Cross, Broomham and Upper Dicker. It covers 7 square miles (18 km2) of countryside. Of the more than 340 dwellings in the parish, over fifty have the word "Farm" in their postal address.

Burgh Hill Farm Meadow is a 0.9-hectare (2.2-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest west of Hailsham in East Sussex.This meadow is managed to encourage wildlife and 67 species of flowering plants have been recorded, such as yellow rattle, pepper saxifrage and green winged orchid. The site also has a ditch, two small ponds and mature hedgerows.The site is private land with no public access.

Golden Cross is a small village in the Wealden district of East Sussex, England. Its nearest town is Hailsham, which lies approximately 3+1⁄2 miles (6 kilometres) southeast of the village. A plantation of willows near Whitesmith, East Sussex, in England forms a maze in the shape of a quotation from the Bible. The maze was planted by local farmer Peter Gunner in the 1990s in the form of his favourite biblical passage. The maze was little noticed until spotted on Google Earth aerial photography in 2013, when it was reported in the media.

Gun Hill is a hamlet in the civil parish of Chiddingly in the Wealden district of East Sussex, England. It is one of the seven hills of the parish in which it stands. Its nearest town is Uckfield, which lies approximately 7 miles (11 km) north-west from the village. The hamlet is where Wealden and Wealdway cheeses are produced.

Bede's School consists of a preparatory school and pre-preparatory nursery in Holywell, Meads, Eastbourne, East Sussex, England, as well as a senior school based in Upper Dicker, Hailsham, East Sussex, England. These, along with the Legat School of Dance, form the Bede's School Trust, an educational charity. All three schools are independent and fee-charging. Zoar Strict Baptist Chapel is a Strict Baptist place of worship in the hamlet of Lower Dicker in the English county of East Sussex. Founded in 1837 and originally known as The Dicker Chapel, the "large and impressive" Classical/Georgian-style building stands back from a main road in a rural part of East Sussex. The 800-capacity building included a schoolroom and stables when built, and various links exist between people and pastors associated with the chapel and other Strict Baptist and Calvinistic causes in the county, which is "particularly well endowed with [such] chapels".The chapel was built in 1837–38 and substantially extended in 1874. It has its own burial ground, extended in 1880. After a brief attempt by the first pastor to run the chapel along mixed denominational lines—serving Strict Baptist and Calvinistic Independent worshippers—it assumed a solely Strict Baptist identity, which it retains as of 2023. Six permanent pastors have administered the chapel during its existence: one served for more than 50 years.

Michelham Priory is the site of a former Augustinian Priory in Upper Dicker, East Sussex, England, United Kingdom. The surviving buildings are owned and administered by the Sussex Archaeological Society and are Grade I and Grade II listed.A T-shaped stone-built structure, the east and north wings date from the 13th century and the west wing from the 16th century. The north wing, originally the Priors Lodging, comprises three storeys with an attic and the other two wings two storeys. The roof is tiled. The whole is surrounded by a moat, enclosing an area of almost 8 acres (3.2 ha).A watermill in the grounds of the priory has been restored to working order and is open to the public.

East Hoathly with Halland is a civil parish in the Wealden District of East Sussex, England. The parish contains the two villages of East Hoathly and Halland, two miles (3.2 km) to the west; it sits astride the A22 road, six miles (9.6 km) north-west of Hailsham, although the original sharp bend on that road through East Hoathly has now been bypassed. On 1 April 2000 the parish was renamed from "East Hoathly" to "East Hoathly with Halland".

Waldron Cutting is a 0.2-hectare (0.49-acre) geological Site of Special Scientific Interest in East Sussex. It is a Geological Conservation Review site.This site exposes siltstones and fine sandstone of the Ashdown Formation, dating to the Early Cretaceous between 140 and 100 million years ago. It has one metre long fossils of Lycopodites plants in life position.This very small site is on both sides of a public road.
