A plantation of willows near Whitesmith, East Sussex, in England forms a maze in the shape of a quotation from the Bible. The maze was planted by local farmer Peter Gunner in the 1990s in the form of his favourite biblical passage. The maze was little noticed until spotted on Google Earth aerial photography in 2013, when it was reported in the media.

Farleys House near Chiddingly, East Sussex, has been converted into a museum and archive featuring the lives and work of its former residents, the photographer Lee Miller and the Surrealist artist Roland Penrose. It also houses a collection of contemporary art by their friends Pablo Picasso, Man Ray, Max Ernst and Joan Miró.

Chiddingly ( CHID-ing-lye) is an English village and civil parish in the Wealden District of the administrative county of East Sussex, within historic Sussex, some five miles (8 km) northwest of Hailsham. The parish is rural in character: it includes the village of Chiddingly and a collection of hamlets: the largest of these being Muddles Green and Thunder's Hill; others being Gun Hill, Whitesmith, Holmes Hill, Golden Cross, Broomham and Upper Dicker. It covers 7 square miles (18 km2) of countryside. Of the more than 340 dwellings in the parish, over fifty have the word "Farm" in their postal address.

Lower Dicker is a 0.1-hectare (0.25-acre) geological Site of Special Scientific Interest west of Hailsham in East Sussex. It is a Geological Conservation Review site.

Bede's School consists of a preparatory school and pre-preparatory nursery in Holywell, Meads, Eastbourne, East Sussex, England, as well as a senior school based in Upper Dicker, Hailsham, East Sussex, England. These, along with the Legat School of Dance, form the Bede's School Trust, an educational charity. All three schools are independent and fee-charging. East Hoathly with Halland is a civil parish in the Wealden District of East Sussex, England. The parish contains the two villages of East Hoathly and Halland, two miles (3.2 km) to the west; it sits astride the A22 road, six miles (9.6 km) north-west of Hailsham, although the original sharp bend on that road through East Hoathly has now been bypassed. On 1 April 2000 the parish was renamed from "East Hoathly" to "East Hoathly with Halland".

The civil parish of Chalvington with Ripe, in the Wealden District of East Sussex, England, is made up of the two villages, Chalvington and Ripe. They are located in the upper Rivers Cuckmere and Ouse joint valley north of the South Downs, between the A27 and the A22 roads, and some 15 miles (24 km) north-west of Eastbourne. Ripe is the larger of the two ecclesiastical parishes with 1,120 acres (450 hectares), compared to the 729 acres (295 hectares) of Chalvington. The civil parish was formed on 1 April 1999 from "Chalvington" and "Ripe" parishes.

Park Corner Heath is a 2.9-hectare (7.2-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest about 1.2 miles (2 km) south of East Hoathly, adjacent to the A22 main road between Uckfield and Eastbourne in East Sussex. It is managed by Butterfly Conservation.

Michelham Priory is the site of a former Augustinian Priory in Upper Dicker, East Sussex, England, United Kingdom. The surviving buildings are owned and administered by the Sussex Archaeological Society and are Grade I and Grade II listed.A T-shaped stone-built structure, the east and north wings date from the 13th century and the west wing from the 16th century. The north wing, originally the Priors Lodging, comprises three storeys with an attic and the other two wings two storeys. The roof is tiled. The whole is surrounded by a moat, enclosing an area of almost 8 acres (3.2 ha).A watermill in the grounds of the priory has been restored to working order and is open to the public.

Gun Hill is a hamlet in the civil parish of Chiddingly in the Wealden district of East Sussex, England. It is one of the seven hills of the parish in which it stands. Its nearest town is Uckfield, which lies approximately 7 miles (11 km) north-west from the village. The hamlet is where Wealden and Wealdway cheeses are produced.
