RAF Deanland

The civil parish of Chalvington with Ripe, in the Wealden District of East Sussex, England, is made up of the two villages, Chalvington and Ripe. They are located in the upper Rivers Cuckmere and Ouse joint valley north of the South Downs, between the A27 and the A22 roads, and some 15 miles (24 km) north-west of Eastbourne. Ripe is the larger of the two ecclesiastical parishes with 1,120 acres (450 hectares), compared to the 729 acres (295 hectares) of Chalvington. The civil parish was formed on 1 April 1999 from "Chalvington" and "Ripe" parishes.

Laughton is a village and civil parish in the Wealden district of East Sussex, England. The village is located five miles (8 km) east of Lewes, at a junction on the minor road to Hailsham (B2124). It appears in the Domesday Book, and there are Roman remains nearby.

Park Corner Heath is a 2.9-hectare (7.2-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest about 1.2 miles (2 km) south of East Hoathly, adjacent to the A22 main road between Uckfield and Eastbourne in East Sussex. It is managed by Butterfly Conservation.

Golden Cross is a small village in the Wealden district of East Sussex, England. Its nearest town is Hailsham, which lies approximately 3+1⁄2 miles (6 kilometres) southeast of the village. Burgh Hill Farm Meadow is a 0.9-hectare (2.2-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest west of Hailsham in East Sussex.This meadow is managed to encourage wildlife and 67 species of flowering plants have been recorded, such as yellow rattle, pepper saxifrage and green winged orchid. The site also has a ditch, two small ponds and mature hedgerows.The site is private land with no public access.

A plantation of willows near Whitesmith, East Sussex, in England forms a maze in the shape of a quotation from the Bible. The maze was planted by local farmer Peter Gunner in the 1990s in the form of his favourite biblical passage. The maze was little noticed until spotted on Google Earth aerial photography in 2013, when it was reported in the media.

East Hoathly with Halland is a civil parish in the Wealden District of East Sussex, England. The parish contains the two villages of East Hoathly and Halland, two miles (3.2 km) to the west; it sits astride the A22 road, six miles (9.6 km) north-west of Hailsham, although the original sharp bend on that road through East Hoathly has now been bypassed. On 1 April 2000 the parish was renamed from "East Hoathly" to "East Hoathly with Halland".

Selmeston is a village and civil parish in the Wealden District of East Sussex, England. It is located eight miles (13 km) east of Lewes, to the north of the A27 road between there and Polegate. The church existed at the time of its mention in the Domesday Book of 1086; it is dedicated to St Mary. The ecclesiastical parish is linked with the village of Alciston. The Domesday Book also has entries for the two large houses that lie in the Parish, Sherrington Manor (variously referred to as Elerintone, Serintone and Sirintone) and Tilton house (referred to as Telentone and Tilintone). The Labour politician John C Wilmot (1895–1964) took his title of Baron from the village.

Berwick railway station is located in Berwick, East Sussex, England. Berwick village is located nearby to the south of the A27 road. The station is on the East Coastway Line, 57 miles 47 chains (92.7 km) from London Bridge, and train services are provided by Southern.

Arlington Reservoir is a 100.4-hectare (248-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest west of Hailsham in East Sussex. It is also a Local Nature Reserve and it is owned and managed by South East Water.

Laughton Place is a historic building near Lewes, Sussex owned by the Landmark Trust. The Pelham family bought Laughton Place, an old fortified manor, in 1466; it was rebuilt in 1534 by William Pelham. Laughton Tower was restored under the supervision of architect John Warren in the 1980s.

Chiddingly ( CHID-ing-lye) is an English village and civil parish in the Wealden District of the administrative county of East Sussex, within historic Sussex, some five miles (8 km) northwest of Hailsham. The parish is rural in character: it includes the village of Chiddingly and a collection of hamlets: the largest of these being Muddles Green and Thunder's Hill; others being Gun Hill, Whitesmith, Holmes Hill, Golden Cross, Broomham and Upper Dicker. It covers 7 square miles (18 km2) of countryside. Of the more than 340 dwellings in the parish, over fifty have the word "Farm" in their postal address.
