Berlin Zoologischer Garten station (German: Bahnhof Berlin Zoologischer Garten, colloquially Bahnhof Zoo, German: [ˈbaːnˌhoːf ˈt͡soː] (listen)) is a railway station in Berlin, Germany. It is located on the Berlin Stadtbahn railway line in the Charlottenburg district, adjacent to the Berlin Zoo. During the division of the city, the station was the central transport facility of West Berlin, and thereafter for the western central area of reunified Berlin until the opening of Berlin Hauptbahnhof in 2006. It is also an interchange with the U-Bahn and the S-Bahn, which uses the Stadtbahn viaduct along with RegionalExpress and RegionalBahn trains.

The Amerika Haus Berlin is an institution that was developed following the end of the World War II, to provide an opportunity for German citizens to learn more about American culture and politics, and engage in discussion and debate on the transatlantic relationship. Run by the American government until 2006, Berlin's Amerika Haus is one of many Amerika Häuser located across Germany. On September 25, 2006, the Amerika Haus Berlin was officially handed back to the city of Berlin, and its doors were closed to the general public until 2014.

C/O Berlin is a private exhibition space for photography and visual media in Berlin. It is located in Amerika Haus Berlin by Zoologischer Garten station, Charlottenburg, where it has more than 2,500 square metres of space. C/O Berlin presents works by national and international artists, supports emerging talents, and organizes educational events on visual media and art. It was founded in 2000 by Stephan Erfurt, Marc Naroska and Ingo Pott and originally located in the old Royal Post Office (Postfuhramt). C/O Berlin is supported by a non-profit foundation under the direction of Stephan Erfurt. The deputy chairman is Dr. Andreas Behr.

The Beate Uhse Erotic Museum (German: Beate Uhse Erotik-Museum) (1996 – 2014) was a sex museum in the Charlottenburg district of Berlin, Germany. The museum was opened in 1996 near Berlin Zoologischer Garten railway station by Beate Uhse, the early stunt pilot and entrepreneur, who in 1962 started the world's first sex shop. The collection features historic Asian and European erotic art including several lithographies by Heinrich Zille as well as early pornographic films. It claims to be "the world's largest erotic museum". The museum closed in September 2014. Initially the museum was looking for a new premise, but due to the market development in Berlin the museum never reopened. For the exhibits, a loss in value of €1.2 million was recorded in the 2015 annual report.

The Weizenbaum Institute is a research institute for interdisciplinary digitalization research. It is a joint project of research institutions from Berlin and Brandenburg, funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. The partners are Free University of Berlin, Humboldt University of Berlin, Technische Universität Berlin, Berlin University of the Arts, University of Potsdam, Fraunhofer Institute for Open Communication Systems and WZB Berlin Social Science Center. The Weizenbaum Institute was awarded the tender by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research to host the German Internet Institute, hence it is also known by this name. Founded in 2017, the institute is located in Berlin. The institute is named after Joseph Weizenbaum.

Waldorf Astoria Berlin is a hotel in Berlin, Germany. It is located in the City West area of Berlin , next to the upscale retail area Kurfürstendamm. It opened on January 3, 2013, and is the first Waldorf Astoria branded hotel in Germany. Guerlain Spa, the only one in Germany, is located at the hotel.

The Great Berlin Wheel was a giant Ferris wheel to be built near the Berlin Zoological Garden (Zoologischer Garten Berlin) in Berlin, Germany, by the Great Wheel Corporation. It was originally planned to be 185 m (607 ft) tall, with 36 passenger capsules, but this was subsequently revised to 175 m (574 ft) tall, with 28 passenger capsules, each able to accommodate 40 persons.The groundbreaking ceremony was on 3 December 2007 and completion was originally planned for 2008, but the project stalled after encountering financial obstacles.If it had been built, it would have become the world's tallest Ferris wheel, superseding the 165 m (541 ft) Singapore Flyer (world's tallest 2008–2014).

The Historical Archive on Tourism (HAT, German: Historisches Archiv zum Tourismus) is sited in the city of Berlin at the Technische Universität Berlin where it is housed at the Center for Metropolitan Studies (CMS) and the Zentrum Technik und Gesellschaft (ZTG). The HAT had been founded in 1986/87 at the Freie Universität Berlin; in 2011 international protests helped to avert a planned shut-down of the archive and the following year it moved from the Free to the Technical University. Since 1999 the HAT is headed by the historian Hasso Spode and was co-financed by the Willy-Scharnow-Foundation. Step-by-step the collection was enlarged with material about historical travel and tourism research. Today the length of the shelves amounts to some 800 running meters. The focus of the material is not so much on "travel" generally but on "tourism" as a special sort of travelling. The HAT is gathering various materials ranging from Baedekers to private photo albums. In particular, there is an extensive collection of flyers and other so-called ephemera. Mainly, the material stems from Central Europe, but specifically from Germany. However, other parts of the world are also represented, e.g. Southern Africa or USA. Over 50,000 leaflets are stored, and more than 250 journals and some 13,000 books are registered. In addition statistics, posters and maps are gathered. The bulk of the material is from the 19th and 20th century, some books date back to around 1600. No OPAC is installed but lists of titles are published in the Internet.

The University Library of the TU Berlin and UdK (German: Zentralbibliothek der TU und UdK Berlin) is the central library of the Technical University of Berlin (TU Berlin) and the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK). It is located in the Fasanenstraße, Berlin. The current directors of the UdK and TU libraries are Andrea Zeyns and Jürgen Christof, respectively.

The Ufa-Palast am Zoo, located near Berlin Zoological Garden in the New West area of Charlottenburg, was a major Berlin cinema owned by Universum Film AG, or Ufa. Opened in 1919 and enlarged in 1925, it was the largest cinema in Germany until 1929 and was one of the main locations of film premières in the country. The building was destroyed in November 1943 during the Bombing of Berlin in World War II and replaced in 1957 by the Zoo Palast.

Upper West is a mixed-used skyscraper in Berlin, Germany. It is located at Breitscheidplatz in the City West area of Berlin , next to the high-rise Zoofenster. It opened on May 3, 2017, and was designed by Christoph Langhof and KSP Jürgen Engel Architekten (Berlin).

The Theater des Westens (Theatre of the West) is one of the most famous theatres for musicals and operettas in Berlin, Germany, located at Kantstraße 10–12 in Charlottenburg. It was founded in 1895 for plays. The present house was opened in 1896 and dedicated to opera and operetta. Enrico Caruso made his debut in Berlin here, and the Ballets Russes appeared with Anna Pavlova. In the 1930s it was run as the Volkstheater Berlin. After World War II it served as the temporary opera house of Berlin, the Städtische Oper (Municipal Opera). In 1961 it became the first theatre in Germany to show musicals. Since then it has become the "German equivalent of Broadway extravaganzas", putting on plays and musical comedies.
