West Seventh Street Park

The Schmidt Artist Lofts is a historic former brewery for Schmidt Brewery. It is located in the West Seventh neighborhood of Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States. The building was vacant for 11 years until a massive community and developer effort resulted in a plan for a revitalization of the brewery's historic building into the creation of the Schmidt Artist Lofts in 2013.

27 Crocus Place, also known as the J.M. Carlson House, was a 1902 Queen Anne style timber-frame house in Saint Paul in the U.S. state of Minnesota. It was a contributing property to the Historic Hill District.It was the home of Minnesota Governor Joseph A. A. Burnquist where he wrote several works in the series "Minnesota and its People" during the 1920s.Despite historic preservation efforts by the city and neighbors, a court approved its demolition in 2015. The final owners of the house, Fred and Renee Pritzker, had it demolished to build a new residence for their adult son, who has Angelman syndrome. In the settlement with the city, they were required to document the historic structure before it was destroyed.

The Frank B. Kellogg House is a historic house at 633 Fairmount Avenue in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States. It is listed as a National Historic Landmark for its association with Nobel Peace Prize-winner Frank B. Kellogg, co-author of the Kellogg–Briand Pact. Kellogg Boulevard in downtown Saint Paul is also named for him. The house was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1976. It is also a contributing property to the Historic Hill District.The house is a large 2+1⁄2-story structure, built mostly out of a variety of stone, including granite, sandstone, and brownstone. The original rectangular block was designed by William H. Willcox and completed in 1890, and exhibits a blend of Queen Anne and Romanesque styling. In 1923 Kellogg added a large addition, designed by Allen H. Stem was constructed on the north-east side of the house, reorienting the front from Fairmount Avenue to Dale Street. This addition was called the "Coolidge Wing", although it is not clear whether it was built before or after President Calvin Coolidge visited Kellogg here in 1923. The house is one of two surviving structures closely associated with Kellogg; the other is in Washington, DC.From 1889 until his death, this was the permanent residence of Frank B. Kellogg (1856-1937), lawyer, U.S. Senator, and diplomat. As Secretary of State from 1925 to 1929, he negotiated the 1928 Kellogg–Briand Pact—for which he received the Nobel Peace Prize—and shifted foreign policy away from interventionism. He died at home in 1937, on the eve of his 81st birthday from pneumonia, following a stroke.

The William Dahl House was built by William Dahl and his Irish wife, Catherine Margaret Murphy in 1858, the home was moved from 136 13th Street in 1997.

The F. Scott Fitzgerald House, also known as Summit Terrace, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States, is part of a group of rowhouses designed by William H. Willcox and Clarence H. Johnston Sr. The house, at 599 Summit Avenue, is listed as a National Historic Landmark for its association with author F. Scott Fitzgerald. The design of the houses was described as the "New York Style" in which unit was given a distinctive character found in some rowhouses in eastern cities. Architecture critic Larry Millett describes it as "A brownstone row house that leaves no Victorian style unaccounted for, although the general flavor is Romanesque Revival." The Fitzgerald house is faced with brownstone and is two bays wide with a polygonal two-story window bay on the right, and the entrance, recessed under a round arch that is flush with the bay front, on the left. The mansard roof has a cross-gable with two round-arch windows and decorative finials.Fitzgerald's parents, Edward and Mollie, moved back to St. Paul in 1914 while F. Scott Fitzgerald was a student at Princeton University. They lived in the unit at 593 Summit Avenue for a while, then moved to the 599 Summit Avenue unit in 1918. In July and August 1919, Fitzgerald rewrote the manuscript that became his first novel, This Side of Paradise. He lived here until January 1920, writing short stories, and then moved to New Orleans. Of the several places the Fitzgeralds lived, this one is most closely associated with his literary fame, and typifies the environments of some of his later works.It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1971. It is also a contributing property to the Historic Hill District, listed in 1976.F. Scott Fitzgerald was noted for disliking Summit Avenue, stating that Summit Avenue is “a mausoleum of American architectural monstrosities.”

Summit Hill is a neighborhood and city planning district in Saint Paul, Minnesota, in the United States. The neighborhood, which is also District 16, is an approximately 75 square block area bounded by Summit Avenue on the north, Interstate 35E on the south and east, and Ayd Mill Road on the west.

The C.S.P.S. Hall, also known as Czech Hall or as CSPS Sokol Hall, is the home of the Czech-Slovak Protective Society Hall — a recreation center and meeting house used for social events, including Sokol events; important to the cultural preservation of Czech and Slovak immigrants in Saint Paul, Minnesota. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.The C.S.P.S. was founded in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1854, and, like other immigrant societies, began by offering a kind of insurance program, which provided for members when they were ill and covered funeral expenses.

Lauer Flats are 1887 residential townhouses designed by Henry and Charles Lauer in Italianate style, located in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States. They are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The House of Hope Presbyterian Church in Saint Paul, Minnesota was founded in 1907, by the merger of two churches that were founded in 1849 and 1855.Its building was designed by noted architect Ralph Adams Cram starting in 1909; the church was completed in 1914. It is a Gothic Revival style church with flying buttresses needed to support walls thin enough for stained glass windows.The church was expanded in 1959. It received a 2014 St. Paul Heritage Preservation Award for completion of a major restoration of the church and its bell tower costing $3.2 million that including replacing the slate roof and adding copper flashings.

Island Station Power Plant was a coal power plant on the Mississippi River less than a mile up-river from downtown Saint Paul, Minnesota. St. Paul Gas & Light Company commissioned construction of the plant in 1921. In 1923, before construction was even complete, a more efficient technology for burning coal was developed, rendering the plant obsolete before it even opened. The plant came online in 1926 and operated at three-fourths the intended capacity until 1943 when it was shifted to an off-peak use and only produced power 6–10 weeks per year. In 1975, Northern States Power Co. (who acquired the plant shortly after it was finished) decommissioned the plant and used it for storage. In 1985 John Kerwin bought the plant and converted portions of the building into studio apartments for local artists. For a time a colony of a half-dozen to a dozen houseboat dwellers moored at the plant. In 2003 Island Station L.L.C. purchased the property for $1.5 million with the hope of turning it into a 235-unit condo with a 20-slip marina. After the $80 million project started work and more than 100 units had been reserved, the project stalled. In 2013, the property was sold for $4.05 million to St Paul Riverwalk, LLC of Scottsdale, Arizona. In February, 2014, a permit was authorized to demolish the plant. The entire structure was imploded on March 16, 2014, at 9:58 am.

The Burbank–Livingston–Griggs House is the second-oldest house on Summit Avenue in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States. It was designed in Italianate style by architect Otis L. Wheelock of Chicago and built from 1862 to 1863. The work was commissioned by James C. Burbank, a wealthy owner of the Minnesota Stage Company. Later, four significant local architects left their mark on the landmark structure.The building was one of the first Minnesota properties nominated to the National Register of Historic Places, in 1970. It was listed for its state-level significance in the theme of architecture. It was nominated for being one of Minnesota's most elaborate examples of mid-19th-century Italianate architecture. In 1976 it was also included as a contributing property to the Historic Hill District.
