Atwell College

Atwell is a suburb within the metropolitan area of Perth, Western Australia, situated 21 kilometres (13 mi) south of Perth City, and located in the City of Cockburn local government area.

The Forrestdale and Thomsons Lakes Ramsar Site comprises two separate nature reserves, totalling 754 ha (1,860 acres) in area, protecting two shallow fresh to brackish, seasonal lakes in a suburban and agricultural landscape in south-western Western Australia. It lies in the Swan Coastal Plain bioregion and is used mainly for birdwatching and walking. The site is recognised as being of international importance under the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands, under which it was designated Ramsar Site 481 on 7 June 1990.

Aubin Grove railway station (officially Aubin Grove Station) is a commuter railway station serving Atwell, Aubin Grove, Hammond Park and Success, which are suburbs of Perth, Western Australia. It is on the Mandurah line, which is part of the Transperth network, and is located immediately north of Russell Road in the median of the Kwinana Freeway. It has two platform faces on a singular island platform, which is linked to either side of the freeway by a pedestrian overpass. Services run every 10 minutes during peak and every 15 minutes between peak. The journey to Perth railway station is 23.8 kilometres (14.8 mi) and takes 21 minutes. The station has a bus interchange with four bus stands and seven regular bus routes. Construction of the station was promised by both major political parties ahead of the 2013 Western Australian state election. A tender was released for the station's construction in July 2014, with a projected cost of $80 million for the whole project, including the purchase of two Transperth B-series trains. The design contract was awarded in February 2015 to a joint venture between Coniglio Ainsworth Architects and M. P. S. Architects. The scope of the project was broadened in April 2015 to include the widening of the Russell Road bridge over the freeway, which increased the project budget to $105 million. Construction on the station began in March 2016, and it was opened on 23 April 2017, with the final cost being $125 million.

Success Park 'n' Ride was a Transperth bus station located next to the current Cockburn Central Train/Bus Interchange. It was established on 21 March 1999 and decommissioned on 22 December 2007. After that it was superseded by its nearby station in Cockburn Central.

Success is a southern suburb of Perth, the capital city of Western Australia, located within the City of Cockburn. The name Success comes from Captain James Stirling's ship HMS Success.Urban development of Success didn't begin until the early 1990s when the Kwinana Freeway was extended to Forrest Road (now Armadale Road and Beeliar Drive). The population grew from 4,854 in the 2006 census to 10,148 in the 2016 census.

Cockburn Central station ( KOH-bərn) is a bus and railway station on the Transperth network. It is located at the juncture of the Mandurah and – once completed – Thornlie lines, 20.5 kilometres (12.7 mi) from Perth station inside the median strip of the Kwinana Freeway serving the suburb of Cockburn Central.

Banjup is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located within the City of Cockburn. Its postcode is 6164. It is approximately 25 km (16 mi) south of the Perth central business district. Banjup mainly consists of rural residential properties, with an average lot size of 2 hectares (5 acres), together with a small number of agriculture-based businesses (horticulture such as plant nurseries and flower growing). The suburb has a mixture of small scale rural properties which have been used for hobby farms (for example to run horses) and "lifestyle" residents who prefer open space and more space when compared to normal Perth suburban blocks. Banjup is located on the Jandakot Water Mound. As part of the Western Australian State Government water resource protection policy development over the Jandakot Water Mound is limited to reduce the possibility of contamination from runoff from properties. As a consequence the number of animals per property is limited by the City of Cockburn zoning policies (for example 1 horse per 2 ha property - exemptions apply for established properties with livestock). Much of the Jandakot Regional Park is located within Banjup.

Aubin Grove is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia in the City of Cockburn. The suburb was approved in 2003. Aubin Grove was formerly part of the rural locality of Banjup. It is named after Henry John Aubin, who leased agricultural land in the area in 1897.It has grown rapidly, from a population of 351 at the 2006 census to 6,324 at the 2016 census.

Hammond Park is a southern suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located within the City of Cockburn. Hammond Park was previously part of Banjup, and the suburb was created in March 2002. It was named after James Hammond, a pioneer of the Jandakot district who settled there in 1887.

Cockburn Central ( KOH-bərn) is a suburb of Perth, the capital city of Western Australia, and is 24 kilometres (15 mi) south of Perth's central business district (CBD) along the Kwinana Freeway. Its local government area is the City of Cockburn, and it is intended by the Government to serve as a regional centre for the area. It was approved as a name by the Geographic Names Committee in 2007. The new suburb came into existence after the newly constructed Kwinana Freeway cut off the western portion of Jandakot from the main part of the suburb, with the section west of the freeway becoming Cockburn Central.It contains a new town centre focussed around the railway station, with the state headquarters of the Department of Fire and Emergency Services, a district police station, Cockburn ARC (a regional aquatic and recreation centre, which also houses the administration and training facilities for the Fremantle Football Club), Cockburn Gateway Shopping city (which, despite the name, is located in neighbouring Success), high rise residential apartments and an older industrial area.

Hammond Park Secondary College is an independent public co-educational high day school, located in the Perth suburb of Hammond Park, Western Australia.

Thomsons Lake Nature Reserve is a lake nature reserve around Thomsons Lake (Noongar: Jilbup) in the City of Cockburn, Western Australia, approximately 25 kilometres (16 mi) south of the central business district of Perth, the state capital, and on the southern fringes of the Perth metropolitan area. It is in the suburb of Beeliar, 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) south-west of Jandakot Airport. It is a still largely natural wetland, with adjoining native vegetation, surrounded by land developed for housing and agriculture, that regularly supports large numbers of shorebirds and other waterbirds.
