Aminjikarai taluk is a taluk of the city district of Chennai in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It was formed in December 2013 from parts of the erstwhile Perambur-Purasawalkam taluk and the Egmore-Nungambakkam taluk. It comprises the neighbourhoods of Aminjikarai, Anna Nagar, Arumbakkam, Koyambedu, Thirumangalam, Vada Agaram and Villivakkam.

Koyambedu is a neighbourhood in Chennai, India. Situated in the western part of Chennai city, the Koyambedu area has become a major hub of activity in Chennai City after the inauguration of the Koyambedu market in 1996 and the Chennai Mofussil Bus Terminus (CMBT) in 2002. The area is active round the clock owing to the movement of people and goods through the day, with uninterrupted transport facilities such as long-route buses, autos, share autos, vegetable goods carriers and so forth.

The Chennai Contract Carriage Bus Terminus or CCCBT is a bus terminus located in Chennai, in close proximity to CMBT catering to outstation private buses. It was inaugurated in August 2003.The CCCBT, spread over an area of 6.7 acres, has 68 bus bays, 126 idle parking, 51 travel agency office, 22 shops, and 14 passenger waiting halls with total seating facilities for about 120 persons. It is being maintained by CMDA. The CCCBT caters to about 5,000 passengers daily. Every day about 350 buses, about 450 on peak days, are operated to all parts of the state and to Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.

Chennai Mofussil Bus Terminus (CMBT) (officially Puratchi Thalaivar Dr. M.G.R. Bus Terminus) is a bus terminus located in Chennai, India, providing inter-state bus transport services. It is located on the 100 feet (30 m) inner-ring road (Jawaharlal Nehru Road) in Koyambedu between SAF Games Village and the Koyambedu Vegetable Market. It is the largest bus terminus in India as well as Asia. Chennai Metro Rail operates a coach depot behind the bus terminus since 2015.

CMBT Metro, officially known as Puratchi Thalaivi Dr. J. Jayalalithaa CMBT Metro, is an elevated metro station on the Line 2 of the Chennai Metro, which is currently under operation. The station is among the elevated stations coming up along corridor II of the Chennai Metro, Chennai Central – St. Thomas Mount stretch. The station will chiefly serve the Chennai Mofussil Bus Terminus. On 31 July 2020, It has been named by Government of Tamil Nadu as Puratchi Thalaivi Dr. J. Jayalalithaa CMBT Metro to honor the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu J. Jayalalithaa, who inaugurated the Puratchi Thalaivar Dr. M.G.R Bus Terminus, Asia's biggest bus terminus and the metro station.

Arihant Majestic Towers is a 17-storied residential building in Chennai, India. At 63 meters, it is one of the first buildings that surpassed the LIC Building on Anna Salai as the tallest building in the city. Kurungaleeswarar Temple is a historically important Shiva temple in the neighbourhood of Koyambedu, Chennai, India. The temple encloses a large tank and dates from the Medieval Chola period.

Koyambedu Junction, also called the Koyambedu Roundtana, is an important road junction in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It is located north of the Chennai Mofussil Bus Terminus at the junction of the Inner Ring Road and the Poonamallee High Road (NH4) in the Koyambedu area/locality. The junction is a part of the Golden Quadrilateral project taken up under the National Highways Development Project.

Radha Regent Chennai, earlier called as Radha Park Inn, is a four-star hotel located at Arumbakkam in Chennai, India. The hotel is the second hotel of the Sarovar Hotels & Resorts in India and the first of star hotels to open on Inner Ring Road, Chennai. The hotel also opened Geoffrey's, the first Pub of Chennai in 2001.
