St Saviour's Church, Aughton

Claughton railway station served the village of Claughton in the City of Lancaster district of Lancashire, England. The station was located near Low Lane at a level crossing, but was only in service for a short period (passenger traffic ceasing as early as May 1853). A private goods siding serving the nearby brickworks was laid soon after the 1923 Grouping by the LMS. The line remained in use until closure to passengers in 1966 between Wennington and Morecambe Promenade. Freight services finished the following year in June 1967 and the track was then dismantled. The formation has since been returned to agricultural land east of Caton. The station house survives as a private residence.

Artle Beck is a minor river of Lancashire. Rising at the confluence of Udale Beck and Foxdale Beck below Fosdale Bridge and Udale Bridge near Crossgill, Artle Beck flows northwest through steep-sided woodland, passing beneath Raven Scar on its way to Gresgarth Hall. From there, the beck continues north, skirting around the village of Caton before meeting the River Lune opposite Halton Park. The beck is dammed at Gresgarth Hall and feeds a mill leat which runs separately through Caton. Two of the (originally three) mills are still standing but have been converted for other uses. The leat empties separately into the Lune at Low Mill about half a mile downstream from the mouth of Artle Beck itself.

Claughton Hall (Claughton pronounced KLAF-tən) is a large country house in the English village of Claughton, Lancashire. A Grade I listed building, it dates to around 1600, but it contains material believed to be from the 15th century.The building was moved to its present site, from the bottom of the hill on which it sits, in 1932–33. It is built in sandstone with stone-slate roofs. At each end of the north front are tall projecting towers; the left tower is gabled, and the right tower has a hipped roof. In the top storey of both towers are continuous mullioned and transomed windows. The recessed section between them contains two chimneys on corbels, and a doorway flanked by three-light windows, and with an oriel window above.It has been the home of former Blackpool F.C. owner Owen Oyston since the 1970s. Oyston was found guilty of raping a 16-year-old girl at the property in 1996.

Caton railway station served the village of Caton in the City of Lancaster district of Lancashire, England. The station was located near Ball Lane and Station Road, with the latter crossing the railway on the level immediately to the east. It opened with the line in November 1849, being built by the "Little" North Western Railway. The route was initially constructed as single track, with a passing loop here - the Lancaster to Hornby stretch eventually being doubled by the Midland Railway in 1889. The station was closed in May 1961 by the British Railways Board as an economy measure, though the line remained in use until closure to passengers in 1966 between Wennington and Morecambe. Freight services finished the following year in 1967 and the track was subsequently dismantled. The line has since been converted into a footpath and cycleway westwards towards Lancaster, including the two old railway viaducts across the River Lune at Crook o' Lune. The station house survives as a private residence, whilst the old goods shed is now a church. The old formation eastwards is still visible from nearby roads and can be traced via satellite photos.

Gressingham is a small village and civil parish in the City of Lancaster in the English county of Lancashire. It is north of the River Lune and across the river from Hornby. In the 2001 census, it had a population of 153, decreasing slightly to 151 at the 2011 census.St John the Evangelist's Church was originally built in the 12th century and is a Grade I listed building. It was partly rebuilt in 1734, and restored by Edward Paley in 1862.The Gressingham Duck was named after the village of Gressingham, having been first bred here in 1980 from a cross of mallards and Pekin ducks. However, the exclusive right to breed Gressingham Ducks was bought by Gressingham Foods in 1996, and the ducks they now produce are all from their farms in East Anglia.

The Wenning is formed from the confluence of Clapham Beck, which rises above Clapham, and Austwick Beck, which rises in Crummackdale above Austwick. It then flows westwards through High Bentham, Low Bentham and Wennington.The river flows for 14.09 miles (22.67 km) and drains an area of 24.9 square miles (64.6 km2). It joins the River Lune approximately 1 mile (1.5 km) west of Hornby. This river's valley, together with Airedale, Wharfedale and upper Ribblesdale, make up the district of Craven.

Capernwray Hall is a former country house situated 3 miles east-northeast of Carnforth, Lancashire, England, and is currently used as a Christian Bible school and holiday centre. The house is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II* listed building. It stands in grounds included in the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens at Grade II.
