Saint-Gilles (French pronunciation: [sɛ̃ ʒil]; Provençal: Sant Geli; English: St. Giles) or Saint-Gilles-du-Gard is a commune in the Gard department in southern France. It is the second most populous commune in the Nîmes metropolitan area.

The canton of Saint-Gilles is an administrative division of the Gard department, southern France. Its borders were modified at the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. Its seat is in Saint-Gilles. It consists of the following communes:

Nîmes Airport or Nîmes–Alès–Camargue–Cévennes Airport (French: Aéroport de Nîmes-Alès-Camargue-Cévennes) (IATA: FNI, ICAO: LFTW) is an airport located 9 km (4.9 NM) south-southeast of the city of Nîmes, in the village of Saint-Gilles near Garons, France. It is also known as Garons Airport or Nîmes Garons Airport. The airport serves the Provence region, including the communes of Nîmes and Alès in the Gard department, the Camargue area and the Cévennes. It currently has some commercial services, operated by Irish carrier Ryanair, as well as serving as a naval air base. The French navy (Marine Nationale) pulled out some years ago. Their former facilities are now used by the Armee de Terre. The Securite Civile flying base, formerly at Marseille (LFML), has moved to Garons.

Garons is a commune in the Gard department in southern France. The Nîmes-Alès-Camargue-Cévennes Airport, also called "Garons Airport" is located very close to Garons, on the territory of the commune of Saint-Gilles.

Générac (French pronunciation: [ʒeneʁak]; Occitan: Generac) is a commune in the Gard department in southern France. Générac station has rail connections to Nîmes and Le Grau-du-Roi. Tenor Eustase Thomas-Salignac (1867–1943) was born in Générac.

Beauvoisin (French pronunciation: [bovwazɛ̃]; Occitan: Bèuvesin) is a commune in the Gard department in southern France. Beauvoisin station has rail connections to Nîmes and Le Grau-du-Roi. Beauvoisin is a small southern village with a post office, bar, newsagent, grocers, butchers and a couple of bakeries. It retains a tradition of bull running in the city streets and the arenas. This involves retrieving decorations that are attached to the bull's horns. The idea is to demonstrate bravery rather than to kill or gain a victory over a bull. Another local tradition is the Empègue which appears annually in designs that reflect the local culture.

Bouillargues (French pronunciation: ​[bujaʁg]; Occitan: Bolhargues) is a commune in the Gard department in southern France. It includes the hamlets of Garons, Caissargues and Rodilhan. It is situated to the southeast and close to the city of Nimes and in 2013 it had just over 6,000 residents.

Gallician is a village in the commune of Vauvert in the département of Gard, in the region of Languedoc-Roussillon, southern France. It has a population of about 1,000 people. It is located 6 km south of Vauvert, on the Canal du Rhône à Sète, which links the river Rhône with the Canal du Midi at Sète.

Aubord (French pronunciation: ​[obɔʁ]; Occitan: Aubòrn) is a commune in the Gard department in southern France. Aubord is situated 15 km (9.3 mi) southwest of Nîmes.
