Berlin-Lichtenberg station

The Stasi Museum (also known in German as the Forschungs- und Gedenkstätte Normannenstraße) is a research and memorial centre concerning the political system of the former East Germany. It is located in the Lichtenberg locality of Berlin, in the former headquarters of the Stasi (officially the Ministerium für Staatssicherheit), on Ruschestraße, near Frankfurter Allee and U-Bahn station Magdalenenstraße.

Magdalenenstraße is a Berlin U-Bahn station located on the line. The station was designed by the Swedish architect Alfred Grenander and it was opened for service in 1930. It was closed for a few months in 1945 and was renovated in 2004–05. The walls are covered with green panels and the columns are also painted green. The 20 artworks of the East German artists Wolfgang Frankenstein und Hartmut Hornung from 1986 are displayed on the walls. They are painted in a very abstract way and show the history of the German workers' movement. In 1995 these paintings were to have been covered by advertisements, but this was prevented by the culture department of the Berliner Senat.

Rummelsburg (German: [ˈʁʊml̩sˌbʊʁk] (listen)) is a subdivision or neighborhood (Ortsteil) of the borough (Bezirk) of Lichtenberg of the German capital, Berlin.

Berlin Nöldnerplatz is a railway station in the Rummelsburg quarter of the Lichtenberg borough in Berlin. It is served by the S-Bahn lines , and . The station is located on the eponymous square named after the Communist and resistance fighter Erwin Nöldner, killed in 1944, who lived nearby.

The Friedrichsfelde Central Cemetery (German: Zentralfriedhof Friedrichsfelde) is a cemetery in the borough of Lichtenberg in Berlin. It was the cemetery used for many of Berlin's Socialists, Communists, and anti-fascist fighters.

Berlin-Rummelsburg Betriebsbahnhof station is a former freight yard, currently used as a Betriebsbahnhof (“operations station”), in the suburb of Rummelsburg in the Lichtenberg district of Berlin. It is primarily used as a depot for the storage and maintenance of passenger train sets used for long-distance traffic. In particular, InterCity Express trains terminating in Berlin are stored there. Deutsche Bahn officially call the station Berlin-Rummelsburg, but it is not to be confused with the more westerly Berlin-Rummelsburg S-Bahn station. The S-Bahn section of the precinct is called S-Bahnhof Betriebsbahnhof Berlin-Rummelsburg (Berlin-Rummelsburg operations station S-Bahn station), which is classifies as a Haltepunkt (a “halt”, that is it has no sets of points). It is served by S-Bahn line .

Friedrichsfelde is a Berlin U-Bahn station located on the in the Friedrichsfelde district.

The Frankfurter Allee is one of the oldest roads of Berlin, the capital city of Germany. It extends the Karl-Marx-Allee from Frankfurter Tor in the direction of the city of Frankfurt (Oder). It is part of Bundesstraße 1 and has a length of 3.6 kilometres (2.2 mi). Line of the city's U-Bahn runs beneath the length of Frankfurter Allee. The U-Bahn stations of Frankfurter Tor, Samariterstraße, Frankfurter Allee, Magdalenenstraße and Lichtenberg are all under or adjacent to the street. Frankfurter Allee and Lichtenberg stations are also served by the city's S-Bahn.

The Schrotkugelturm (Lead shot tower) is the landmark of the Berlin neighbourhood Victoriastadt. The name derives from the former use as shot tower. In 1939 the production of shot balls in this tower was discontinued.

Lichtenberg (German: [ˈlɪçtn̩ˌbɛʁk] (listen)) is a quarter (Ortsteil) of Berlin in the homonymous borough (Bezirk) of Lichtenberg. Until 2001 it was an autonomous district with the localities of Fennpfuhl, Rummelsburg, Friedrichsfelde and Karlshorst.

Karlshorst (, German: [ˈkaʁlsˌhɔst] (listen); locally pronounced [ka:ltshɔst]; literally meaning Karl's nest) is a locality in the borough of Lichtenberg in Berlin. Located there are a harness racing track and the Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Berlin (HTW), the largest University of Applied Sciences in Berlin, and the German-Russian Museum Berlin-Karlshorst.

Berlin-Rummelsburg station is a station in the suburb of Rummelsburg in the Lichtenberg district of Berlin. The station is located on the Berlin–Frankfurt (Oder) railway (“Lower Silesian–Markish Railway”) and is served by line S3 of the Berlin S-Bahn. It is not to be confused with Berlin-Rummelsburg Betriebsbahnhof, which lies further east and was formerly a freight yard and is now used for the maintenance of long-distance trains. Berlin-Rummelsburg Betriebsbahnhof S-Bahn station is also in the precinct of that station.
