Napa Valley College, formerly Napa Junior College and Napa Community College, is a public community college in Napa, California. The tree-lined main campus is on 160 acres (65 ha) overlooking the Napa River and includes a performing arts center, a child development center, a business development center, a Visual Arts Center including a Gallery and Ceramics Studio, and the Napa Valley Vintners Teaching Winery. An Upper Valley Campus in St. Helena includes the Napa Valley Cooking School, training aspiring chefs. In 2014–2015, the total enrollment was about 8,559.

The Cayetano Juárez Adobe, often called locally the Old Adobe, is the oldest building in Napa, California. Built in 1845 by early Californio settler Cayetano Juárez, the structure was originally a family house and was later converted to a restaurant and bar. After an ownership change in 2014, it underwent an extensive restoration which was completed in 2019. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2015. It is currently the home of a Mexican restaurant.

Napa State Hospital is a psychiatric hospital in Napa, California, founded in 1875. It is located along California State Route 221, the Napa-Vallejo Highway, and is one of California's five state mental hospitals. Napa State Hospital holds civil and forensic mental patients in a sprawling 138-acre campus. According to a hospital spokesperson, there were 2,338 people employed at the facility during the 2016 to 2017 fiscal year, making it one of the region's largest employers. The Napa Valley Cricket Club played a number of their matches at McGrath Field, a multi-use sports field, at the eastern end of the hospital campus for the 2017 season.

The George E. Goodman Mansion, at 1120 Oak St. in Napa, California, was built in 1873. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.It was designed by architects McDougall and Marquis of San Francisco in Second Empire style.

The George E. Goodman Jr. House, at 492 Randolph St. in Napa, California, was built in 1891. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.It is a two-and-a-half-story Queen Anne-style building built upon a raised basement. It has a corner tower.Its National Register nomination calls it "one of Napa's most successfully executed examples of late nineteenth-century residential architecture. It embodies the aesthetic ideals of the Queen Anne style through its design and detailing and shows the type of house that attracted prosperous Napans at the end of the Victorian era. It also indicates the growing importance of family rather than personal wealth. When compared with the hundreds of other residences from the period in Napa, the Goodman House emerges as one of the ten or twelve most significant."

The Capt. N. H. Wulff House, at 549 Brown St. in Napa, California, was built in 1885. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.It is a two-story wood frame Italianate-style house. In 1992 it was "virtually unaltered" since its original construction, and retained its architectural integrity.It was deemed significant as one of few surviving buildings associated with Napa's maritime history. The navigable Napa River flows 20 miles (32 km) from Napa to the San Francisco Bay, and early in Napa's history was essentially the only way to transport produce and passengers to San Fran, and assorted goods and passengers back. River traffic did not decline until the 1920s. Captain N. H. Wulff was "one of the city's most important steamboat owners and masters during the last half of the nineteenth century. Because Wulff was engaged in carrying goods and passengers vital to the growth of the town, the building is also significant in the areas of commerce and transportation.... Wulff had the house erected at the height of his career in 1885 and lived in it until his death in 1911."The house was designed by William H. Corlett and built by Thomas Derry.

The Eliza G. Yount House, at 423 Seminary St. in Napa, California, was built in 1884. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.

Basalt Rock Company was a multifaceted industrial operation that was founded in 1920. The company started as a rock quarrying operation located a few miles south of Napa, California near Rocktram adjacent to the Napa River. It later branched out into the ship building business in 1941 when it started building ships for the U.S. Navy for use during World War II. Following the war, the plant built 30 miles of pipe for the City of Napa's pipeline from Lake Hennessey. In 1950, the company took title of a cement plant formerly owned by Standard Portland Cement Company in what is now American Canyon, California. The cement plant remained in operation until 1978. As of 2001, the city was evaluating the plant for future use.

Napa River Inn, in Napa Valley, California, is a historic hotel dating from 1884. It is located on the Napa River within part of the historic Napa Mill, which is now also a commercial establishment with dining, shopping, spa treatments, and entertainment.In 1884 or 1886 Captain Albert Hatt used the mill as a warehouse for serving local vineyards. The Napa River Inn was built inside the historic Napa mill building in the 1990s, "with interior design inspiration coming from the renowned Sandra Blake."It has been alleged the inn is haunted by the ghost of Albert Hatt, Jr., who died by hanging himself in the warehouse in 1912. It was featured in a 2002 episode of Haunted Hotels as a place where spectral lovers search for each other from beyond. The inn was listed on the National Registry of the Historic Hotels of America in 2004.In 2012, approval to expand the hotel by 26 rooms, adding a third floor, was received.After a seven-year hiatus, expansion of the hotel finally began in 2019.

First Presbyterian Church is a historic church at 1333 3rd Street in Napa, California. It was built in 1874 in the Neo-Gothic style and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975. The building was damaged by the 2014 South Napa earthquake. The church's congregation moved back into the sanctuary in July 2016 following repairs and restoration.

The Superior Court of California, County of Napa, also known as the Napa County Superior Court or Napa Superior Court, is the branch of the California superior court with jurisdiction over Napa County.

The Napa County Courthouse Plaza is a complex in Napa, California, which consists of the Napa County Courthouse and the Hall of Records. The two buildings occupy an entire city block, which includes open areas and landscaping to create the site's plaza setting. The High Victorian Italianate courthouse was built in 1878 to replace the original 1856 courthouse. The courthouse continues to serve as the seat of Napa County government. The 1916 Hall of Records is a federally sponsored records building designed by William H. Corlett. The Renaissance Revival building represents an early use of reinforced concrete as a building material; the material became popular nationwide in the 1920s.The plaza was added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 18, 1992. The courthouse was damaged by the 2014 South Napa earthquake. A $11.6M contract for restoration of the courthouse was awarded by Napa County in August 2017.
