Farrapos (meaning Ragamuffins in English, in allusion to the Ragamuffin War) is a neighbourhood (bairro) in the city of Porto Alegre, the state capital of Rio Grande do Sul, in Brazil. It was created by Law 6218 from November 17, 1988.

Moinhos de Vento (literally Windmills in English) is a neighbourhood of the city of Porto Alegre, the state capital of Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil. It was created by the law number 2022 of December 7, 1959. Moinhos de Vento got its name because Azorean immigrant families built their windmills in its area during the 18th century. Around that time wheat production was an important economic enterprise in the then-village of Nossa Senhora de Madre de Deus, nowadays called Porto Alegre. In 1893, tramcars led to the development of Moinhos de Vento, where affluent and traditional families built their homes. Many of them were businessmen, industrial and political personalities, not only local, but from the whole state. In 1894, the Independência hippodrome was built there and horse racings became very popular until the arrival of football. After the hippodrome was transferred to another neighborhood, the Moinhos de Vento Park (aka Parcão) was inaugurated in its place. Still an affluent and upper middle class area of Porto Alegre, Moinhos de Vento is well-served by bars, restaurants and luxury stores. Also there is located a highly regarded and traditional private school of the city, the Nossa Senhora do Bom Conselho school, well known as the Bom Conselho. Concerning children's education, Moinhos de Vento has two highly regarded private kindergartens, the Lar do Bebê-Pupileira and Gente Miúda schools.

Auxiliadora is a neighbourhood (bairro) in the city of Porto Alegre, the state capital of Rio Grande do Sul, in Brazil. It was created by Law 2022 from December 7, 1959. The neighbourhood was named after the Paróquia Nossa Senhora Auxiliadora, whose building, inspired in the Église de la Madeleine in Paris, was constructed in 1961. Auxiliadora is also home to the Centro Cultural 25 de Julho, a German cultural centre. The neighbourhood embraces people from upper middle class to upper class, mainly the streets near Moinhos de Vento, some of them that in the past belonged to Moinhos de Vento and nowadays, by the current director's plan, belong to Auxiliadora.

Arquipélago (meaning Archipelago in Portuguese) is a neighbourhood in the city of Porto Alegre, the state capital of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. It was created by Law 2022 on December 7, 1959. The neighbourhood comprises 16 islands that are also part of Jacuí Delta State Park.

Santa Maria Goretti is a neighbourhood (bairro) in the city of Porto Alegre, the state capital of Rio Grande do Sul, in Brazil. It was created by Law 2688 from December 25, 1963.

Arena do Grêmio is a multi-use stadium in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul. It was inaugurated on December 8, 2012.It is used mostly for football matches and as the home stadium of Grêmio Foot-Ball Porto Alegrense, replacing the Estádio Olímpico Monumental. With a 60,540 capacity (55,662 current official capacity), the stadium is one of the most modern venues in South America. In Sisbrace, the Brazilian Ministry of Sport's football stadium evaluation system, Arena do Grêmio received the highest rating in all aspects. Arena also received from UEFA a "Category Four" evaluation from UEFA's stadium categories, the only in Brazil. Even though it is one of the most modern stadiums in Brazil, it was not listed as a host of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, held in the country, but in 2019 Arena do Grêmio was selected as one of the venues for the 2019 Copa América where five matches were played in the stadium.

Pepsi on Stage is a music venue in the city of Porto Alegre, Brazil. It is located in the neighborhood of São João, near the Salgado Filho International Airport.

Estádio Francisco Novelletto Neto, better known as Estádio Passo D'Areia is a multi-use stadium located in Porto Alegre, Brazil. It is used mostly for football matches and hosts the home matches of Esporte Clube São José. The stadium has a maximum capacity of 16,000 people and was built in 1940. In 2020 the stadium was renamed after Francisco Novelletto Neto, who was president of Esporte Clube São José and the Federação Gaúcha de Futebol.

Moinhos de Vento Park (Portuguese: Parque Moinhos de Vento, literally "Windmills Park"), popularly known as Parcão (literally "Big Park"), is a well-known park in Porto Alegre. It is located in the Moinhos de Vento neighborhood. The park structure consists of soccer, tennis and volleyball fields, gym equipment, a playground, a kids library, a pond with fish, turtles and ducks, a playground, and a replica of an Azorean windmill. The park also features a monument commemorating Castelo Branco.

It is named after the Senator and first Minister of the Brazilian Air Force Joaquim Pedro Salgado Filho (1888–1950). It is operated by Fraport Brasil.

Located on a hill, Mont'Serrat was named after the famous mountain in Catalonia. It embraces people from upper middle class to upper class.
