The Museu de Ciências Naturais da Fundação Zoobotânica do Rio Grande do Sul ("Museum of Natural Sciences of the Rio Grande do Sul Zoobotanical Foundation"), is a Brazilian museum located inside the Porto Alegre Botanical Garden. Located on a hill, Mont'Serrat was named after the famous mountain in Catalonia. It embraces people from upper middle class to upper class.

Auxiliadora is a neighbourhood (bairro) in the city of Porto Alegre, the state capital of Rio Grande do Sul, in Brazil. It was created by Law 2022 from December 7, 1959. The neighbourhood was named after the Paróquia Nossa Senhora Auxiliadora, whose building, inspired in the Église de la Madeleine in Paris, was constructed in 1961. Auxiliadora is also home to the Centro Cultural 25 de Julho, a German cultural centre. The neighbourhood embraces people from upper middle class to upper class, mainly the streets near Moinhos de Vento, some of them that in the past belonged to Moinhos de Vento and nowadays, by the current director's plan, belong to Auxiliadora.

The killing of João Alberto Freitas refers to the beating and murder by asphyxiation of João Alberto Silveira Freitas, at the hands of security guards at a Carrefour store , located in the Passo d'Areia neighborhood , in the northern part of the city of Porto Alegre , in Rio de Janeiro . Grande do Sul , on the night of November 19 , 2020 . The murder started a series of anti-racist protests in several Brazilian cities. João Alberto, a forty-year-old black man, worked as a service provider. He was buried on November 21 in Porto Alegre.Six people were indicted by the Public Ministry for homicide, including two security guards (one of them a temporary military police officer) and four Carrefour employees.
