Birkenes Church (Norwegian: Birkenes kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Birkenes Municipality in Agder county, Norway. It is located in the village of Mollestad, about 3.5 kilometres (2.2 mi) southwest of the municipal centre of Birkeland. It is the church for the Birkenes parish which is part of the Vest-Nedenes prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Agder og Telemark. The white, wooden church was built in a cruciform design in 1858 using plans drawn up by the architect Christian Heinrich Grosch. The church seats about 650 people.

The Mollestad Oak (in Norwegian: Mollestadeika or Vetteika) is a monumental, legendary oak near the Norwegian village of Mollestad in the municipality of Birkenes, Norway. The oak has a circumference of 9.21 metres (30.2 ft), measured in 2001, and a height of around 13 metres (43 ft), which makes the Mollestad Oak one of the largest trees in Norway. Estimates of the age are between 450 and 550 years, but there are also outliers to around 1000 years. The oak is traditionally a knot oak and the trunk extends to a height of four meters. The oak is located on a field. The Birkenes Church is located in eastern Mollestad (Østre Mollestad). The Norwegian National Road 41 runs through the village. The village of Rugsland lies to the south, Svaland lies to the west, and Tveide lies to the east.

Svaland is a village in Birkenes municipality in Agder county, Norway. The village is located in a very rural area about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) southwest of the village of Birkeland and about the same distance northeast of the village of Vennesla. A very popular activity in Svaland is to hunt.

Tveit Church (Norwegian: Tveit kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Kristiansand Municipality in Agder county, Norway. It is located on the banks of the Tovdalselva, just outside the village of Ryen in the district of Tveit in the borough of Oddernes in the northeastern part of the city of Kristiansand. It is the church for the Tveit parish which is part of the Kristiansand domprosti (arch-deanery) in the Diocese of Agder og Telemark. The white, stone church was built in a long church design around the year 1150 using plans drawn up by an unknown architect. The church seats about 350 people. The church is surrounded by a cemetery. The historic structure is protected by law.

Blindleia is an 20-kilometre (12 mi) long inland waterway in the municipality of Lillesand in Agder county, Norway. The strait starts in the Gamle Hellesund or Ulvøysund areas in southern Høvåg in the southwest (near Kristiansand) and it continues northeast past the town of Lillesand. It is a salt water fjord passage that is protected from the open sea by an elongated archipelago of skerries and larger islands. There are several narrow gaps as part of the waterway, some of them only 10 metres (33 ft) wide. Navigation through the passage is detailed but supposedly not difficult—since there are no tides and very little current—with clearly marked buoys and a few lighthouses along the way.

Tveit is a former municipality that was located in the old Vest-Agder county in Norway. The 107-square-kilometre (41 sq mi) municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 1965. The municipality was located in the eastern part of the present-day municipality of Kristiansand along the river Topdalselva. The village is located about 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) southwest of the town of Lillesand and about 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) northeast of the city of Kristiansand. The village lies on the northern shore of the Kjerkekilen, a strait leading from the Blindleia to the Isefjorden. The village is the site of Høvåg Church and from 1865 until 1962, it was the administrative centre of the old municipality of Høvåg. The 0.26-square-kilometre (64-acre) village has a population (2016) of 280 which gives the village a population density of 1,077 inhabitants per square kilometre (2,790/sq mi).

Høvåg (historically: Høvaag) is a former municipality in the old Aust-Agder county in Norway. The 77 km2 (30 sq mi) municipality existed from 1865 until its dissolution in 1962. It was located in the southern part of the present-day municipality of Lillesand which is now in Agder county. The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Høvåg where the Høvåg Church is located. Old coastal settlements in Høvåg include Ulvøysund, Gamle Hellesund, Skottevik, Kjøbmannsvig and Åkerøyhamn. The village of Høvåg is located midway between the towns of Lillesand and Kristiansand.
