Trøe

Høvåg is a village in Lillesand municipality in Agder county, Norway. The village is located about 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) southwest of the town of Lillesand and about 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) northeast of the city of Kristiansand. The village lies on the northern shore of the Kjerkekilen, a strait leading from the Blindleia to the Isefjorden. The village is the site of Høvåg Church and from 1865 until 1962, it was the administrative centre of the old municipality of Høvåg. The 0.26-square-kilometre (64-acre) village has a population (2016) of 280 which gives the village a population density of 1,077 inhabitants per square kilometre (2,790/sq mi).

Høvåg (historically: Høvaag) is a former municipality in the old Aust-Agder county in Norway. The 77 km2 (30 sq mi) municipality existed from 1865 until its dissolution in 1962. It was located in the southern part of the present-day municipality of Lillesand which is now in Agder county. The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Høvåg where the Høvåg Church is located. Old coastal settlements in Høvåg include Ulvøysund, Gamle Hellesund, Skottevik, Kjøbmannsvig and Åkerøyhamn. The village of Høvåg is located midway between the towns of Lillesand and Kristiansand.

Høvåg Church (Norwegian: Høvåg kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Lillesand Municipality in Agder county, Norway. It is located in the village of Høvåg. It is the church for the Høvåg parish which is part of the Vest-Nedenes prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Agder og Telemark. The white, stone church was built in a cruciform design around the year 1100 using plans drawn up by an unknown architect. The church seats about 315 people.

Blindleia is an 20-kilometre (12 mi) long inland waterway in the municipality of Lillesand in Agder county, Norway. The strait starts in the Gamle Hellesund or Ulvøysund areas in southern Høvåg in the southwest (near Kristiansand) and it continues northeast past the town of Lillesand. It is a salt water fjord passage that is protected from the open sea by an elongated archipelago of skerries and larger islands. There are several narrow gaps as part of the waterway, some of them only 10 metres (33 ft) wide. Navigation through the passage is detailed but supposedly not difficult—since there are no tides and very little current—with clearly marked buoys and a few lighthouses along the way.

Gamle Hellesund is an outport in the Høvåg area in the municipality of Lillesand in Agder county, Norway. It is located on the island of Helløya in the coastal archipelago about halfway between the village of Ulvøysund to the southwest and Åkerøyhamn to the northeast. The small village is only accessible by boat. Historically, the village served as an outport along the Blindleia strait for boats coming from the Skaggerak. Today, Gamle Hellesund stays empty most of the year and is largely used in the summer by tourists.

Åkerøyhamn is a village in Lillesand municipality in Agder county, Norway. The village is located on the small island of Ågerøya, about 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) southwest of the village of Brekkestø. Åkerøyhamn is only accessible by boat, with the Blindleia strait separating it from the mainland.

The administrative center of the municipality is the town of Lillesand. The 190-square-kilometre (73 sq mi) municipality is the 306th largest by area out of the 356 municipalities in Norway. Lillesand is the 100th most populous municipality in Norway with a population of 11,419. The municipality's population density is 63.3 inhabitants per square kilometre (164/sq mi) and its population has increased by 13.8% over the previous 10-year period.

Skottevik is a village in Lillesand municipality in Agder county, Norway. The village is located on the Skaggerak coast, about 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) east of the village of Ribe and about 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) northeast of the village of Ulvøysund. The outport of Gamle Hellesund lies about 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) to the northeast of Skottevik in the nearby coastal archipelago.

Vesterhus is a village in Lillesand municipality in Agder county, Norway. The village is located at the innermost part of the Kvåsefjorden, about 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) southwest of the village of Høvåg and about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) east of the city of Kristiansand.

Ribe is a village in Lillesand municipality in Agder county, Norway. The village is located on the east side of the Kvåsefjorden, about 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) north of the village of Ulvøysund and about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) south of the village of Høvåg. The Skottevik area lies about 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) east of Ribe.

Kvåsefjorden is an approximately 8-kilometre (5.0 mi) long fjord in Agder county, Norway. It forms part of the border between the municipalities of Lillesand and Kristiansand. The district of Randesund lies on the west side of the fjord in Kristiansand.The fjord empties into the Skagerrak at Meholmen near Ulvøysund, which is considered to be the western starting point of the Blindleia strait. Blindleia is the inner shipping route along the coast of Lillesand. The smaller Isefjærfjorden is a branch off the main Kvåsefjorden. Kvåsefjorden can sometimes be harsh and difficult to cross with small boats, because it is wide open to the Skagerrak and there is no archipelago to protect it unlike in the nearby Blindleia.

Tveide is a village in Birkenes municipality in Agder county, Norway. The village is located about 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) south of the municipal centre of Birkeland. Historically, there was a railway station here along the now-closed Lillesand-Flaksvand Line.
