Veleslavín (Czech pronunciation: [ˈvɛlɛslaviːn], German: Weleslawin) is a district of Prague, part of Prague 6, situated in the west of the city approximately 5 km from Ruzyně International Airport. It was probably founded in the 10th or 11th century, first recorded in records from the nearby Břevnov Monastery, and has been part of Prague since 1922. As of 2006, 6,548 people live here.Veleslavín chateau, a single-floored baroque chateau located at the address Veleslavínská 1, is recorded as a cultural monument. The southern part of Veleslavín is part of the housing estate named Petřiny, the remainder of which is in Břevnov, and contains a number of modernist buildings designed by Vlado Milunić.

The International School of Prague (ISP) is an independent, English-speaking, non-profit, international school in Prague, Czech Republic. Established in 1948, ISP is both the oldest and largest international school in the Czech Republic, with over 844 students representing more than 60 nationalities. ISP is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). The Czech Ministry of Education has also authorized the school to teach foreign nationals, in addition to Czech citizens. ISP offers its 11th and 12th grade students the opportunity to take the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program. According to Czech tax law, ISP has only one shareholder, The International School of Prague Foundation, a US 501(c) organization. As a not-for-profit organization, any surpluses are re-invested in the school. The school's financial statements are externally audited and made available to the public. ISP is governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees, who also hire the director of the school. The current director is Dr. Chip Kimball.

Vokovice is a district of Prague city, part of Prague 6. It has been a part of Prague since 1922 and as of 2006, 11,197 people live there.Part of this district is Šárecké údolí, a natural valley, part of which was declared in 1964 as protected territory in Prague. Part of the valley is a pond called Džbán, with a swimming pool and a nearby camp. Interesting buildings include the tram depot named Vozovna Vokovice, which is sometimes opened to public.

Nádraží Veleslavín (English: Veleslavín Station) is a station on Line A of the Prague Metro. In early March 2015 it was put into trial operation and opened on 6 April 2015, together with Bořislavka, Petřiny and Nemocnice Motol stations.

Praha-Veleslavín railway station is located in Veleslavín, Prague 6, on line 120, linking Prague's Masarykovo nádraží with Kladno and Rakovník. The station was opened in 1863 on an already existing line, between Praha-Dejvice and Praha-Ruzyně. Freight services through this station were discontinued entirely since the 2008 closing of the spur to the nearby heating plant. The station is located a short distance from a tram stop on Evropská třída, which is also connected to Line A of the Prague Metro following completion of the current extension from Dejvická to Motol in 2015. The planned express line from Masarykovo to Ruzyně Airport will pass through Veleslavín, and increase the frequency of trains on the Prague-Kladno line to 4tph (trains per hour) in each direction, compared to today's 1tph.

Bořislavka (Czech pronunciation: [ˈbor̝ɪslafka]) is a Prague Metro station on Line A located in Vokovice, Prague 6, which opened on 6 April 2015 along with Nádraží Veleslavín, Petřiny and Nemocnice Motol stations on the first section of the western extension of line A (section V.A). Originally the station was planned to be named Červený Vrch ("Red Hill"), after the nearby housing estate of this name.

The Institute for Social and Economic Analyses (ISEA, Czech: Institut pro sociální a ekonomické analýzy) is a Prague-based think tank established in 2002. Its members' research covers subjects related mainly to the recent social and economic transformation of the Czech Republic. These include education, competitiveness, public finance, pension system reform, income inequality, tax issues of research and development, political systems and political corruption. The policy institute's motto is Diagnosis and Dialogue while the institute claims to strive to achieve a consensus among experts and the Czech political representation. The institute has been actively involved in lobbying the Czech Parliament regarding tax issues related to European Union funds available for research. ISEA has obtained grants mainly from the Open Society Fund in Prague, the Czech government via the Czech Science Foundation and from other sources such as Konrad Adenauer Stiftung. The institute is associated with the Global Development Network. In 2007, the institute founder, sociologist Petr Matějů, was named a Fulbright New Century Scholar.

Dejvice is a historical community, a municipal quarter of the Prague 6 district of Prague, Czech Republic. Its history can be traced back to the late Roman era. Dejvice is known for its appeal to the upper middle class, foreign diplomatic corps and as a university district. It is also the home to Dukla Prague, one of the most successful football clubs of the Czechoslovak era.

Petřiny is a neighbourhood in Prague comprising the oldest panel housing estate in the city. It officially comprises three microdistricts; Petřiny I, part of Veleslavín, and Petřiny II and III, belonging to Břevnov, all belonging to the administrative district Prague 6.

Petřiny is a station on the Prague Metro. It is one of four stations opened on 6 April 2015 as part of a project to extend Line A, together with Bořislavka, Nádraží Veleslavín and Nemocnice Motol.

Břevnov Monastery (Czech: Břevnovský klášter, German: Stift Breunau) is a Benedictine archabbey in the Břevnov district of Prague, Czech Republic. It was founded by Saint Adalbert, the second Bishop of Prague, in 993 AD with the support of Bohemian Duke Boleslaus. The first Benedictine male monastery in Bohemia, it also has the oldest tradition of beer brewing in the Czech Republic. Brewing was interrupted several times in the history, but up to today, the Břevnov Monastery Brewery brew its beer here.

The Markéta Stadium (Czech: Plochodrážní stadion Markéta) is a 10,000-capacity multi-use stadium on U Vojtěšky in Břevnov, Prague, Czech Republic. The stadium has been the home of the Speedway Grand Prix of Czech Republic since 1997. The speedway track has a circumference of 353 metres (386 yards). The stadium opened during the 1930s as an athletics ground and is home to the athletics club PSK Olymp Praha and the Prague speedway team AK Marketa Praha. Since 1959, it has been hosting international speedway events and on an annual basis it also holds the Luboš Tomíček Memorial, named after the rider Luboš Tomíček Sr.In 2022, the stadium was selected as the first ever venue for 2022 SGP2. In 2023, the stadium hosted rugby matches during the 2022–23 Rugby Europe International Championships.
