Praha-Veleslavín railway station

Nádraží Veleslavín (English: Veleslavín Station) is a station on Line A of the Prague Metro. In early March 2015 it was put into trial operation and opened on 6 April 2015, together with Bořislavka, Petřiny and Nemocnice Motol stations.

The Institute for Social and Economic Analyses (ISEA, Czech: Institut pro sociální a ekonomické analýzy) is a Prague-based think tank established in 2002. Its members' research covers subjects related mainly to the recent social and economic transformation of the Czech Republic. These include education, competitiveness, public finance, pension system reform, income inequality, tax issues of research and development, political systems and political corruption. The institute has been actively involved in lobbying the Czech Parliament regarding tax issues related to European Union funds available for research. ISEA has obtained grants mainly from the Open Society Fund in Prague, the Czech government via the Czech Science Foundation and from other sources such as Konrad Adenauer Stiftung. The institute is associated with the Global Development Network. In 2007, the institute founder, sociologist Petr Matějů, was named a Fulbright New Century Scholar.

Vokovice is a district of Prague city, part of Prague 6. It has been a part of Prague since 1922 and as of 2006, 11,197 people live there.Part of this district is Šárecké údolí, a natural valley, part of which was declared in 1964 as protected territory in Prague. Part of the valley is a pond called Džbán, with a swimming pool and a nearby camp. Interesting buildings include the tram depot named Vozovna Vokovice, which is sometimes opened to public.

Veleslavín (Czech pronunciation: [ˈvɛlɛslaviːn], German: Weleslawin) is a district of Prague, part of Prague 6, situated in the west of the city approximately 5 km from Ruzyně International Airport. It was probably founded in the 10th or 11th century, first recorded in records from the nearby Břevnov Monastery, and has been part of Prague since 1922. As of 2006, 6,548 people live here.Veleslavín chateau, a single-floored baroque chateau located at the address Veleslavínská 1, is recorded as a cultural monument. The southern part of Veleslavín is part of the housing estate named Petřiny, the remainder of which is in Břevnov, and contains a number of modernist buildings designed by Vlado Milunić.

Petřiny is a neighbourhood in Prague comprising the oldest panel housing estate in the city. It officially comprises three microdistricts; Petřiny I, part of Veleslavín, and Petřiny II and III, belonging to Břevnov, all belonging to the administrative district Prague 6.

The Markéta Stadium (Czech: Plochodrážní stadion Markéta) is a 10,000-capacity multi-use stadium on U Vojtěšky in Břevnov, Prague, Czech Republic. The stadium has been the home of the Speedway Grand Prix of Czech Republic since 1997. The speedway track has a circumference of 353 metres (386 yards). The stadium opened during the 1930s as an athletics ground and is home to the athletics club PSK Olymp Praha and the Prague speedway team AK Marketa Praha. Since 1959, it has been hosting international speedway events and on an annual basis it also holds the Luboš Tomíček Memorial, named after the rider Luboš Tomíček Sr.In 2022, the stadium was selected as the first ever venue for 2022 SGP2. In 2023, the stadium hosted rugby matches during the 2022–23 Rugby Europe International Championships.

Divoká Šárka (Czech pronunciation: [ˈɟɪvokaː ˈʃaːrka]; Wild Šárka) is a nature reserve on the northwestern outskirts of Prague, the capital city of the Czech Republic.Around the 6th century the Slavs came to this area. In the 7th to 9th centuries above the Džbán gorge was a Slavic settlement, with an area of approximately 20 ha (3 ha fortified settlement). A gorge in the area is named after the female warrior Šárka, who, according to Ancient Bohemian Legends, threw herself to her death from its cliffs after betraying her lover Ctirad during the Maidens' War.It is the closest site to the city where the black woodpecker lives.There is a lake Džbán (The Pitcher) on the border of the Divoká Šárka reserve area and a public swimming pool located in the middle of the reserve. The water of the pool is supplied by clean and fresh water from the Šárka spring creek that passes through the park and the lake.

Břevnov Monastery (Czech: Břevnovský klášter, German: Stift Breunau) is a Benedictine archabbey in the Břevnov district of Prague, Czech Republic. It was founded by Saint Adalbert, the second Bishop of Prague, in 993 AD with the support of Bohemian Duke Boleslaus. The first Benedictine male monastery in Bohemia, it also has the oldest tradition of beer brewing in the Czech Republic. Brewing was interrupted several times in the history, but up to today, the Břevnov Monastery Brewery brew its beer here.

Břevnov (Czech pronunciation: [ˈbr̝ɛvnof]) is a district in the west of Prague, located in Prague 6. The district is home to the Břevnov Monastery (Czech: Břevnovský klášter). On the territory of Břevnov stems Brusnice brook. Břevnov was first mentioned in the 10th century. In 1907 was promoted to the city and since 1921 then became part of the City of Prague. Apart from the Břevnov monastery, we can find other remarkable buildings on the area. The building of the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry of the Czech Academy of Sciences is located in the north-western of Břevnov. The legend of this institute was its former director Otto Wichterle, to whom is devoted the monument in front of the building. Others are: Ladronka homestead, Hostinec U Kaštanu and Hotel Pyramida. There is also a large Military University Hospital (Ústřední vojenská nemocnice). The Petřiny metro station on line A is located in the extreme west of Břevnov. The rest of the district is served by a tram line which runs along Bělohorská street.

The Dobrotivá Formation (Czech: dobrotivské souvrství) is a fossil formation situated in Prague-Liboc in the Czech Republic. The Dobrotivá Formation contains many valuable trilobites.

Liboc is a district of the city of Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. It is part of Prague 6, located near Divoká Šárka. The Prague British International School Vlastina Campus is in Liboc; it formerly belonged to the pre-merger Prague British School.
