Palmietfontein Airport (Afrikaans: Palmietfontein Lughawe) was an airport situated to the south of Johannesburg (Katlehong), South Africa, from 1945 to 1952. Latitude: -26° 20' 7.20" S Longitude: 28° 08' 28.80" E

Katlehong is a large township in the Gauteng Province of South Africa. It is 28 km south-east of Johannesburg and south of Germiston between two other townships of Thokoza and Vosloorus next to the N3 highway. It forms part of the City of Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality.

Huntersfield Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Katlehong, South Africa. It is currently used mostly for football matches and was the home stadium of Jomo Cosmos.

Ke-ditselana tourism and multi-cultural village is built in vosloorus extension 20 Ekurhuleni in 2004. Its main purpose is to teach tourists and local people about the South Africa culture.

Potgietersrus Rugby Stadium is a rugby union stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa. It seats 4,000 people. Previously it was used as home venue by the Katlehong City Football Club, but when the club was relegated from the National First Division in May 2002, they moved their home venue to another place in the Free State Province. Since then, the stadium has mostly been used to host various Rugby games in Johannesburg.

Vosloorus is a large township situated south of Boksburg and just east of Katlehong in Ekurhuleni, just 30 kilometres south-east of Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa. It was established in 1963 when Black Africans were removed from Stirtonville because it was considered by the government too close to a white town. Stirtonville, renamed Reiger Park, has since become home to Boksburg's coloured community. A local authority was established in 1983 when Vosloorus was given full municipal status.

Hoërskool Alberton is a Dual-medium high school in Florentia, Alberton, South Africa. The school has approximately 800 learners.On Tuesday, Oct. 12, 1948, the books, furniture, and other supplies in use in the middle section of the Kruger School were transferred to the new junior high school in Alberton. The first principal, P.F. Erasmus, opened the school with nine teachers and 183 pupils. The school was officially opened on Feb. 24, 1949 by the Administrator of the Transvaal, Dr. W Nicol. In 1954, the junior high school became a full-fledged high school with ten pupils in standard ten. Improvements were made to the existing buildings in 1954 and 1959. From 1960 to 1975, Mr. J.J. le Roux was head of the school. From 1976 to August 1994 Dr. P. Krynauw was the principal. From August 1994 - 2016, Mr. H.J. Schoeman has served as principal. Since 2017, Mr. J Jordaan has taken over the reigns as principal

Alberton is described as a typical suburban community, one which is primarily residential in character, with most of its workers commuting to work in nearby suburbs or cities such as Johannesburg and Germiston.

Liefde en Vrede (Love and Peace) is a suburb of Johannesburg, South Africa. It is located in Region F of the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality. Liefde en Vriede is located next to Mulbarton it is a small residential area which is still under development. Less than 10 years ago this area was just open terrain. The main attraction to Liefde en Vriede is the Lebanese Marionite Church which is the largest Catholic church in the South of Johannesburg. There are no commercial businesses or schools in Liefde en Vriede. The residents rely on the surrounding suburbs for all their commercial needs.

Rand Airport (IATA: QRA, ICAO: FAGM) is an airport in Germiston, South Africa. It was constructed in the 1920s as the main airport for Johannesburg, but the city outgrew it and replaced the airport with Palmietfontein Airport in 1948 (itself replaced by Jan Smuts International Airport in 1952).
