Erskineville Oval is a sporting venue in Erskineville, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Originally developed and opened in 1885 as Macdonaldtown Park, it was later renamed in 1892 to its current form with the municipality name change of the local government body. At approximately a capacity of 5000 spectators, previously 2000 Erskineville Oval was formerly an AFL venue as of 1903 when the NSW Australian Football League was founded. From 1913, the ground become a rugby venue as well, in which it has since hosted professional teams such as Newtown and the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

Alexandria Park Community School is a New South Wales government-controlled school for secondary and primary students located on Cadigal country at Park Road, Alexandria, a south Sydney inner suburb, New South Wales, Australia. The school is a public-funded, partially academically selective, comprehensive, co-educational day school. In 2020, the school enrolled approximately 900 students, from Year K to Year 12. 18% of students identified as Indigenous Australians and 58% were from a language background other than English. Opportunity classes are delivered in Year 5 and Year 6, as well as a selective stream in Year 7 to Year 12 for academically gifted and talented students. The school is operated by the NSW government Department of Education in accordance with a curriculum developed by the New South Wales Education Standards Authority. Central Sydney Intensive English High School (CSIEHS), formerly known as Cleveland Street Intensive English High School, is an ESL high school located in the Inner Sydney suburb of Alexandria, New South Wales, Australia and operated by the New South Wales Department of Education. The school provides intensive English language, settlement, orientation and welfare programs to secondary aged, newly arrived permanent, temporary resident and international students. Settlement support and partnership programs are provided for the school's culturally and linguistically diverse parent community. The school's student and parent community come from more than 30 language backgrounds other than English. Bilingual staff support student learning and parent programs. The school's motto "Harmony and Progress" reflects the proactively inclusive education and welfare programs designed to enhance student resilience and achievement.In 2018, the school moved into temporary buildings on the Park Street campus of the Alexandria Community School, to vacate the historic Cleveland Street Model School site on the corner of Cleveland and Chalmers Streets, Redfern for a new, 14 storey inner city high school on that site, to be called Inner Sydney High School. The CSIEHS school relocated to its new, permanent campus on Mitchell Road early in 2019.

Yiu Ming Temple (Chinese: 要明廟) is a heritage-listed Chinese temple at 16-22 Retreat Street, Alexandria, City of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Built in 1908–9, Yiu Ming Temple is one of the oldest surviving Chinese temples in Australia and a globally rare intact example of the traditional Chinese village temple form. While commonly known as the "Yiu Ming Temple" (after the names of two towns in Guangdong province in China, where the community that founded the temple came from), its formal name is Hong Sheng Gong or Hung Sheng Gong (Chinese: 洪聖宮), which indicates that it is a Hung Shing Temple. It is also sometimes known as Yiu Ming Hung Fook Tong Temple(Chinese: 要明洪福堂), which is strictly the name of the previous temple used by the same community. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 24 September 1999.

The precincts are linked by Ebsworth Street, Sydney’s first new high street in a century, and Zetland Avenue west, a new tree-lined boulevard inspired by avenues in Manhattan with a long row of aligned traffic lights.The Green Square Town Centre is undergoing one of the largest urban renewal projects undertaken in Australia. The urban renewal project, spanning 278 hectares, received criticism for having population peak at around 60,000 residents and 21,000 workers by 2030.However, this level of population density would not rank in the top 200 densely populated districts in the world. At 21,500 residents per square kilometre in the year 2030, Green Square's population density would be approximately one-third of Yorkville on the Upper East Side of Manhattan at over 60,000 residents per square kilometre, one-half of the Roquette district in Paris at over 40,000 residents per square kilometre, and in line with Tribeca or Midtown Manhattan at approximately 20,000 residents per square kilometre.

Enginemans Resthouse is a heritage-listed former railway workers' cottage, now private residence, at 39 Brandling Street, Alexandria, City of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It was built from 1902 to 1903. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.
