Enginemans Resthouse is a heritage-listed former railway workers' cottage, now private residence, at 39 Brandling Street, Alexandria, City of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It was built from 1902 to 1903. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

Central Sydney Intensive English High School (CSIEHS), formerly known as Cleveland Street Intensive English High School, is an ESL high school located in the Inner Sydney suburb of Alexandria, New South Wales, Australia and operated by the New South Wales Department of Education. The school provides intensive English language, settlement, orientation and welfare programs to secondary aged, newly arrived permanent, temporary resident and international students. Settlement support and partnership programs are provided for the school's culturally and linguistically diverse parent community. The school's student and parent community come from more than 30 language backgrounds other than English. Bilingual staff support student learning and parent programs. The school's motto "Harmony and Progress" reflects the proactively inclusive education and welfare programs designed to enhance student resilience and achievement.In 2018, the school moved into temporary buildings on the Park Street campus of the Alexandria Community School, to vacate the historic Cleveland Street Model School site on the corner of Cleveland and Chalmers Streets, Redfern for a new, 14 storey inner city high school on that site, to be called Inner Sydney High School. The CSIEHS school relocated to its new, permanent campus on Mitchell Road early in 2019.

This complex junction joins a number of different lines and yards. The Macdonaldtown Carriage Sheds was a facility for the stabling of passenger carriages used on country railway services in New South Wales, Australia. Built by the New South Wales Government Railways in the inner Sydney suburb of Macdonaldtown, it was located in a triangle between the Main Suburban and Illawarra lines. By the early 1980s, it was mainly being used to stable withdrawn rolling stock with the New South Wales Rail Transport Museum and Dorrigo Steam Railway & Museum both having stock stored here. It closed in April 1985.In 2007, six sidings were relaid on the site as part of the CityRail Clearways Project for use as a stabling facility by suburban trains.

The Alexandria Town Hall is an Australian heritage-listed town hall located in Alexandria, A Suburb of Sydney, New South Wales. It stands at 73 Garden Street. It was built in 1880–81 in the Victorian architectural style by Ferdinand Reuss Snr. Significant alterations which changed the facade to an Inter-War Free Classical style were completed in 1928 by architects D. T. Morrow and Gordon. The Town Hall was the seat of Alexandria Municipal Council from 1881 to 1948 and since 1948 has been a branch library, community centre and council depot for the City of Sydney and the South Sydney councils.
