Plumpton, Northamptonshire

Plumpton Pasture is a 3.6-hectare (8.9-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest east of Towcester in Northamptonshire.There are medieval ridge and furrows on this unimproved meadow on clay. The drier ridge tops have many herbs, while the damp furrows are dominated by creeping bent and Yorkshire fog grasses. There are also mature hedges and a small pond.The site is private land with no public access.

Weedon Lois Castle was a castle in the village of Weedon Lois, Northamptonshire, England. The castle was the caput baroniae of the barony of Weedon or Weedon Pinkeney. A ringwork castle was constructed around the late 11th century by Ghilo of Picquigni, a Norman soldier. The surname was anglicised as Pinkeney, with the Pinkeney family holding the castle until the late 13th century.

It remained than 100 at the 2011 census and was included in the civil parish of Tiffield. Adstone is situated approximately 6.5 miles (10 km) south-southeast of Daventry and 6.5 miles (10 km) west-northwest of Towcester. It was known as Atenestone in the Domesday Book.

Canons Ashby is a small village and civil parish in West Northamptonshire, England. The population of the village is included in the civil parish of Preston Capes. Its most notable building is Canons Ashby House, a National Trust property. The parish church is a surviving fragment of Canons Ashby Priory. It is situated 0.9 miles (1,400 m) from Moreton Pinkney. A railway station was located between the two villages, on the Stratford-upon-Avon and Midland Junction Railway (later part of the London Midland and Scottish Railway), but the station closed in April 1952. The village is part of the Daventry constituency.

Woodend is a small village in West Northamptonshire in the English county of Northamptonshire. The village's name means 'at the end of the wood'.It is 6 miles (9.7 km) west of the town of Towcester and was a hamlet in the parish of Blakesley until 1866, when it became a parish in its own right. After World War I it was designated a "thankful village", all of the soldiers it sent to war having returned safely. The population of the village at the 2011 Census was 322. There is a Barrow about 250 yards east of Green's Park Farm.

Morton Pinkney (also known as Morton Pinkney for Sulgrave) was a railway station on the Stratford-upon-Avon and Midland Junction Railway (SMJ) which served the Northamptonshire village of Moreton Pinkney between 1873 and 1952. It was situated not far from Sulgrave Manor, the ancestral home of George Washington's family.
